I love this game just bought it couple days ago it’s a refreshing, simple and straight to the point. Also it has a little retro in the game as well. Now I hope they will have an option where you can design your own playbooks or use combination of play books.

I was scrolling through the eshop and noticed this game just released on Switch! I was vaguely familiar with the series, but hyped as hell to see a football game on handheld! Immediate purchase!

I purchased this game from PS store a few days ago on my PS5 and I’ve been playing nonstop, the customization of franchise mode is amazing and blows madden’s franchise out the water. I don’t care about having the NFL license because with having total customization I can edit the existing default team roster and add my Chicago Bears players and also put myself in the game at Safety, also the gameplay is much better and refreshing it’s not perfect but it’s better than madden having physics based gameplay (compared to canned animations that’s still used in madden). 😎👊🏾✌🏾🏈

Nice commentary . I have been playing axis football since the 2020 installment till the 2023 version and I think it's a solid game of course it can be tweaked a bit but overall a good football experience especially with madden declining.

I have this game and Madden 23. However, I find myself playing this game more than Madden. I love the coach mode and the customizations. Madden’s coach mode sucks!!!

yea one thing i hate about coach mode is on defense anything above pro level u have to control the defender u are on, unless u move the player up closer to the line till the lil symbol pops up above their head, and on offense the Qb will not take off and run or even more around in the pocket

I would not go so far as to say that Axis 23's Franchise is better than Madden's. I think they each do some things better than the other. And I am by no means a Madden fanboy. I've made an entire playlist of videos explaining the ways I think Madden fails at simulating football (kzbin.info/aero/PLP09SVYGwaRJE_95YyXSMpEb3TfDt2Dlz ) (and I haven't even gotten to talking about Madden's Franchise mode yet...). But there is still just so much of Axis' Franchise that is either missing, or under-developed: - Practice Squad doesn't really work in any manner that resembles real-life. - There is no injured reserve at all (I usually use practice squad as an injured reserve). - As mentioned in vid, free agency is lackluster. - There are no rotational players or special teams roster spots (beyond K, P, and returner). - There's no pre-season or training camp at all. - No opponent scouting at all. All of those are things that Madden has, to varying degrees of success. What Axis has that Madden lacks includes: - Coaching staffs, including positional coaches, that actually make a difference on the field. - Slightly ambiguous player ratings that allow user to make judgement calls on who to play at each position, instead of there being an objective "right" starter based on absolute ratings. - In-season scouting that actually requires the user to do something. I put up a wishlist a couple years ago (kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2WviIlpZZZsbqM ) that includes my suggestions for how Axis can actually surpass Madden's Franchise mode. I hope to see some of those items fulfilled in Axis 24!

This is proof that EA just wants the money from MUT users but will only improve or fix things if they really really have to, notice they dont really add alot of customization or new added stuff, they just band aid things to make it look good enough, on madden i always wished i could give the CPU a custom more in depth playbook, with more varity of plays the CPU could pick, but nope,

The axis football I tried I didn't like at all, but it was a few years ago. But I really like the idea of making an old-school style league with bruiser type football. I wish someone would make a game based on leather-helmet days football. I play Madden with fictional rosters anyway and it really frustrates me that they can't do anything like a randomized roster system on there. FPS Football Pro did that way back into the 90s.
