Unlike BP who has only 4 members, BM has 7. So, it is very difficult to distribute the lines to rappers when there are rapping parts. Quite often, Jennie did not have rapping parts because there just wasn't enough time for it. I do agree that Asa should sing more and give some rap lines to Ruka or YG should just increase the length of the song to 4+ minutes.

the "high belter" is Rami (that blonde braid girl/the one with bangs and kinda yellow gown), you can check out her "Pick up your feelings" cover she has this really amazing vocal runs. Aside from Rami, we also have Ahyeon as the high belter but she is not in this MV (due to her hiatus bcoz of health) but we gonna see her again on April for their album release. I think Rora and Rami are more in charge to give a heavier sounds to the group. Actually there is one who get every time the most line is rami( the girl with blond braid hair) she have a really unique tone and really know how to control her voice. There’s no official position but we know that she is the main vocalist. ( she has a crazy agility, riffs, and high note- you can see this in her cover let me love you and pick up your feelings ) We have also the one with the green dress at the debut. She sing habitually with deep and powerful voice ( she cover someone you loved ) Practically All the adlibs that you heard are from rami. Not every song needs or have to do heavy vocal tones or difficult vocal techniques BTW. It depends on the concept of the song, music video and what they want to achieve. Because looking back at their survival show they can DEFINITELY show their powerful and heavy vocal skills but like i said, they won't show that with every song. And another thing that i forgot to mention, this is a group full of teenagers (13 to 17 yrs old members), so they are still developing their voices too, which is INSANE.

Yeah this is my favorite song of them. I was so mad when batter up came out because i know how vocally talented these girls are thanks to their survival and their pre debut song Dream. This is their strength, it doesn't need to be a ballad all the time, there's more genres that you can show your vocals like Pop, Rock, Mixx pop (like NMIXX do), R&B, etc... as long as they show their vocals. And just like this song, they can still show their rap skills with any of these genres without sacrificing vocals.

Batter Up and Stuck In the Middle are sung with 6 girls, but there is one more, She will be the main high tone singer. Ahyeon. She will make her debute April 1 when the mini album is dropped according to YG. So currently with just the 6 girls, Pharita is holding down Main Vocals and she has a decent mid/high tone. and her english is the best amongst all these girls so she obviously sings in english a lot clearer then the others. although they all sound great to me. Rami should be the main vocal currently but she is second behind Pharita currently. she has that whistle high note which I wished they used in this song. you can hear it on there Christmas cover song. "Christmas Without You"

Not sure if you are aware yet. They have a 7th member who was not here for their first song plus this song due to health hiatus. But both songs will be rerecorded with her by the time of the April comeback. Don't know if they will declare main vocalist positions since there is a trend in kpop now to not declare official positions anymore. It's not clear to me who the main vocalists are because Rami (one with the bangs who was in giant bubble) can hit like dog whistle type high notes and can perform with more of a mature r&b style while Rora (in the green) has many saying she has the most solid vocal foundations and nice lower register so has a lot of potential for the future but hasn't been given the most attention-grabbing parts thus far and Ahyeon (who has been on hiatus) seems to have the most power vocals and is one of their best belters but has a bit more metallic sound to her voice and Pharita's vocals which were focused on a lot here have been featured prominently in the songs they've done so far. So there's probably 4 contenders for main vocalist if they plan to declare main vocalists and each is unique so I don't even think there is a best, just different members will be the best for different moments in songs. It remains to be seen how they will split things up when they are 7. I personally really love the sound of Chiquita and Asa's voices a lot too. Such clean pretty voices.

Regarding your questions about belter or hi-tone. The first thing you should know is that this is their 2nd song as a six member group. They were formed as a seven member group but one member had to take a hiatus for health reasons and was unable to participate in the debut and in this pre-release song. They have a mini-album that is supposed to drop on 4/1, and YG stated last week that the member on hiatus, Ahyeon, has recovered fully and that the songs released as six member will be rerecorded with all seven members for the album. Pharita was the one hitting the belt tones at the end. The hi-tones were handled by Rami(Haram). Ahyeon actually has the highest range in the group and is quite the belter as well. I can't wait to hear how the OT7 versions will turn out.

Rami who is in the glass dome is the real deal, she is not the belter but she has this heavy rnb sound the belter mostly ahyeon who is not here in the MV because of health issue, Pharita who sing the 'tell me' I gues own the position to hit the high note, Rora the green dress girl also could belt. As u said this song is a soft song which dont need dive level vocal performance, so they still keep their strengh not showing 100% vocal ability they have. but if u interesting in baby monster u can listen to their individual performance in their channel when they were still trainee

Yep, Ahyeon is the Belter. But she was in hiatus and just came back. YG said they will re-record everything and include her. Their mini album will be release on April 1st. You should watch their evaluations.

In my opinion… •• Rami(Haram)- Main Vocal who is great at being the harmony & runs QUEEN, the best soulful vocals, & she does high notes/belting. Her deeper notes are amazing too. •• Rora- Main vocal & tbh I don’t like when people want to say that since Rora hasnt been given any high notes or belts that she can’t possibly be main vocal. Rora’s vocals to be 15 years old are so rich & mature. Has anyone not heard her sing during the lil “survival” videos YG posted when she was 14 & then even younger when she was in U.SSO girls as a main vocal?? Rora can definitely hit high notes & belt. She’s been doing it since she was a small kid. Rora reminds me of vocalists like Ailee, Lee Hi, Suhyun, & Jung Eunji of APINK, can go deeper than the sea or belt to the gawds! I’ll tell you one thing, she’s underrated now but watch how she’s going to surprise everyone within the next 2-3 years (depending on how she’s promoted within the group.. meaning depending on if YG hands her those opportunities to show what she can really do). Katriinka! I follow you from your sb19 reactions but I’ve never left a comment. I’m so glad to see you reacted to the song this early and I look forward to you seeing their other performances and I am excited to watch them live too. They have a few vocalists in the group. I like the different textures in their voices. Rami has a deeper tone and I believe she is the best belter but I also love Rora and Chiquita’s voices. Pharita has a nice stylistic tone that’s more apparent in her lower register. Ahyeon, the last member that will be rejoining hopefully soon, is also a strong singer and rapper. So excited for what they come out with next!
