5.18 mil crossed the unity, but only 1.63 mil are Starborn players. Yeah, it's unappealing. Honestly, I rather keep my stuff and especially my ships, than loose all for almost nothing to gain. I will probably forever stay in the base universe.
@SirStefanGaming9 ай бұрын
The positive part about this stat is that it proves players actually have the CHOICE of just sticking to the base universe instead of being forced to loose everything every time you cross. Imagine what would be the response if you unavoidably would lose it all every once in a while....

I got hyped up about turning starborn. when I did, its not worth it. their ship is weak. not customizable. wheres the fun in that? where are the starborn weapons and gearrs? there should be starborn post for these stuff since you ascended to a higher level. and why cant we be the captain this time instead of just running errands? im dissapointed
@SirStefanGaming9 ай бұрын
This gap could be great to fill with a Starborne specific DLC, but as you rightfully stated: the core gameplay of becoming and being Starborne is quite unattractive this way for people to still be enthusiastic for whenever those improvements would arrive.

BGS built a foundation out of mud and is asking moders to make it cement. Sad

The game could be lil more fun if they take away the loading screens and keep weapons, items and ships in new game plus.
@SirStefanGaming9 ай бұрын
No idea how much of a technical (im)possibility it would be but replacing loading screens with, for example, a grav jumping sequence with no player control but a seemingly seamless transition, would be a huge improvement imo.

Agreed, but first the DLC for space horses needs to come out then...either as part of a new tech tree or as an unlockable familiar from an achievement.

The biggest Issue is that the game is super boring and the world is deprived from content. Noting from this roadmap addresses this and the Moding community already gave up on the game. I don't see the game gating popular again. Unfortunately its DOA
@tyler39939 ай бұрын
Concerning the idea that Bethesda has built a foundation that modders can build off of. They are trying to create another skyrim craze. The issue I see is skyrim was a great game by itself. Modders simply made it better. Seems unfair to bet on your modders to make your game better. None the less i hope they fix the major concerns the players have expressed
@SirStefanGaming9 ай бұрын
I guess the main question now is: will the improvements by Bethesda in the form of DLC or otherwise be ready and effective enough to "upgrade" the foundation to such a degree where people will keep playing and/or modders will feel its worth their time and effort to start putting out those high-value community upgrades?
@Balalaika749 ай бұрын
They won't.
@Questionthis19 ай бұрын
Another great vid. I disagree with the people that say Bethesda is lazy relying on mods to “fix” the game. The game files and structure show that the game is capable of a lot more than it is but the hardware limitations of the Xbox series S and X mean those features would hurt immersion and gameplay and possibly crash more often than it already is on console. But imagine if Microsoft bought Bethesda and they didn’t even give console players the same experience as PC players? That would be rough PR. Instead they made the best game the could for the limitations of the worst system available to gamers, with plenty of excess material and foundation for PC players to mod and build upon. Smart move if you ask me.

Thanks for the feedback! It sure isn't easy if you have to account for several sets of criteria when designing and developing but to play the devil's advocate; that can't be a reason for harming the quality of the game's release. Again it seems like a series of trade-offs have been made and the limitations in decision making led to some game mechanics being a lesser version of what they could have been. Now they have to somehow close the gap between release and DLC (yes entirely depending on how much content and changes it will bring with it) and hope the time that takes isn't too long for people not to care about the game at all by the time the DLC comes out.

4:41 Survivorship bias
@SirStefanGaming9 ай бұрын
I can see how they would first target the low hanging fruits and use DLCs or simply more dev hours for what works poorly since that require more work
@DavidFrendin9 ай бұрын
@@SirStefanGaming Well I do hope for the best - I really want Starfield to be great. But that clear survivorship bias has me a bit worried.
@3dartxsi9 ай бұрын
I seriously doubt that they are gonna add terrestrial travel. Griund vehicles and even aircraft would entail an entirely new gane mechanic they havent added in to any of their Fallout games over 15 years. Even a "simple" change like a hover sled or beefed up jetpack would encounter the problem of improving dynamic loading which Bethesda diesnt seem confirtable attempting, otherwisevtheyd have done it by now.
@SirStefanGaming9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! IF they were to consider it, it would surely not be without any challenges for them. When not ground vehicles or aircraft, what do you think they might mean by "new ways of travelling"?
@3dartxsi9 ай бұрын
@@SirStefanGaming hard to say. The easiest thing would be to add some kind of No Man's Sky style teleportation to make the fast travel less cluttered with cutscenes and loading screens.
@pauline37759 ай бұрын
Yeah. They can't do it with the creation engine, it's not designed to move quickly in the environment. That's why they didn't put any ground vehicles in this game. Try to set your movement speed to 200 using the command console, it will be a mess when you are moving because textures don't load fast enough. Maybe they'll add something like the slow horse from skyrim only useful for climbing mountains, lol.
@SirStefanGaming9 ай бұрын
Yes! I've said it before: I fully expect space horses to be a part of a future DLC 😊
