I feel like "favorite" is the wrong word "profitable" is the action word. And as a business that is not wrong. Comparing the members musical styling is silly. APPRECIATING this difference is key. The fact that fans feel comfortable enough to comment on how a company runs their business has been the wildest thing for me to see. I honestly feel like even if there were NO promotions, we as the fans know that the song or album is out so we stre@am and share and do challenges and so forth. We too are a form of promotion but many don't want to promote but want to complain instead which doesn't help the artist they claim to be complaining for. Also people forget that a lot of these schedules are finalized a year or two before we actually get the content (not all but some) and even though I can't be 100% sure but I do not think any of it is released without the member's okaying it. What makes me sad always is that a member will be so excited that their hard work that they do for US is finally out and instead of enjoying it they have to watch us bicker and fight and compare them to their brothers....

I think it makes sense that they all advertised differently and went different directions. Even with their concerts they were all different. RM did a private concert for 300 Army. Suga did a whole tour. Jungkook did the soccer performance and the new years eve performance, Jimin went on korean mainstream venues, V did a variety show type thing for army but no concerts. J Hope went to do Lollapalooza, and then Jin just went direct to the army, and doubt he'll do concerts alone. It's interesting.

These solo victimizing narratives need to stop, the member themselves several times have said they are in charge of their promotions. And clearly these people don't know how business even works or that each member wants different things for themselves, they have different styles in their approach. Sometimes the company even advised them but they turned the idea down like the company told Suga he could do a stadium tour but he didn't think he could sell those venues out as a solo artist so he said no let's do arenas but later he realized they were right and he could have done a stadium tour. Actually listen to what the members are telling us and for the comment about Big HIt getting lazy with their promotions is ridiculous. The members are not even all out of the military and have released music during their enlistment (like V currently released new songs) do you know of many other kpop company who would release music or albums while the artists are gone? It's rare because most kpop companies do not even want to spend the money to release albums while the artist are gone and even if they had it's usually only 1 or 2 members not every single member of a group. What BTS and Big Hit has done has during BTS enlistment never been done before to this degree before so to call them lazy and cheap is ridiculous and just plain lies at this point. We have seen MHJ use solo stans against the BTS members to hurt them during ch 2 and fed solo stans or anti company sentiments with media play even fake commenters, antis jumped on the hate company train too. Many fell into her trap and spread the hate more. This needs to stop now and especially in 2025 because she is gonna try everything she can right before the boys come back to tear them and army down. Listen to BTS words and Trust the decisions they make, Trust BTS.

It's crucial for fans to understand that each member significantly influences their solo career, including promotions, music, etc. The members have demonstrated they are incredibly successful as BTS and individual artists. Their solo careers are not BTS activities, and fans need to manage their expectations and realize that the same grand-scale coverage and marketing of BTS doesn't apply to individual solos. However, it's equally important for fans to respect the members' decisions and new trajectories with their solo careers. This responsibility and consideration are key to maintaining a healthy and supportive fan community. 💜

I remember the Bloomberg interview from October last year, where it was revealed that if BTS had not renewed the contract with BigHit, the members stil would've done HYYH anniversary project in 2025 as a group, just within some other company. And that's HUGE, and almost unprecedented. That means they can leave and still be BTS, refer to BTS Universe, and most likely even take all their music and trademarks with them. K-pop fans are too used to stanning idols who don't have even 10% of such freedom, who don't own much of what they create, and sometimes get actually mistreated, so those fans just don't understand artists like BTS. I have noticed that a lot of fans who do understand BTS' unprecedented freedom, are not interested in other k-pop at all, and instead they like Coldplay and other rock bands or indie singers.

This topic brought to mind that Run BTS episode where the boys were tasked to plan what activities they wanted to do on Run BTS. I forget if it is in the episode or around the episode that they said they were learning Project Management. I somehow remember this vividly because I am a PM and I was thinking back then that they're up to something (as there is always a reason for everything around BTS). It's later that I connected that BigHit probably equipped them with the skills to plan their own solo activities.

New fans are the ones who carelessly say things, assuming things. Anything you see BTS doing that's is what they decide to do. Of course, there are projects managers and other staff who work with the artists, but ultimately, they do their work with the artists' ideas. I remember when JK deleted his IG, and he was chilling out of sight. While the other members were working showing content, etc. People were overly concerned about him and making up stories, then later he came with his album production, etc. Nobody knew he was doing so much content, but they surely were harassing Hybe by leaving hate and slander. BTS has a hard time with work, not because it is a lot but because it is stressful, demanding, and tiring, and there are deadlines to meet. So they worry about paying things, household, family, and on top of that, the freaking fandom that judges them. ARMY who follows RM, knows he always struggles with this pressure, and his friend WaveColde supported him recently on IG. So people should be supporting him more than ever. You all know that BTS is 7 💜 and I pray Army cares to show love for YoonGi when he comes back.

Unfortunately, it’s the opposite. The more each BTS member gives, the more these stans nick-pick devaluing their enormous talent and efforts. What idol group would leave an abundance of content for fans before their enlistment? NONE. So, we have to be grateful for all the hard work and everything they’ve created to keep us entertained. If these millions of fans get together as one and support, respect each member’s uniqueness equally this BH favoritism nonsense would be nonexistent.

I have heard the opposite where people are complaining that JK got all the support & big shows in America. I have mostly seen complaints about V not being supported like some others but every members had solo stans who found something to complain about. I agree with the fact the members chose how they wanted to promote and what kind of music they wanted to make. V chose to do Japanese & Korean shows. He had a lot of other projects besides ambassadorships filling his time. RM chose to perform a more intimate performance in Korea & spent his time working on 2 albums. Suga did his tour & Fallon to promote & Suchwita (love his show). Jimin worked on 2 albums and was promoted on Jimmy Fallon. While JK JM & Tae who joined for part of the series also did "Are You Sure?". Hobi put out 2 albums & Hobipalooza & all the dancing videos and who knows what his next surprise or project will be. Since Jin enlisted first he put out "The Astronaut" and waited until discharge to release an album and that man has been crazy busy with content for us. I think they have all done a fantastic job and stayed true to themselves. Everyone of their solo endeavors have won various awards & broken records while keeping us entertained. BTS are so clever, witty, intelligent grown men, in 2025/26 they will be so far ahead than anyone we have ever met. See how Jin and Hobi have changed. They don't need our approval, just support. 💜 so ARMY and other fans need to grow up (quickly) too. They don't need nagging words like "speak English", "marry me", etc, we need to evolve as a fandom fast. The only person that can nag them is their parents. As for ARMY, we are strangers to them. For me to understand them better, I had to learn the culture, that made me respect them and love them in a different way as an international ARMY. Because I am not Korean I don't feel entitled that they owe me anything. So, fans need to understand that.💜

ARMY has changed drastically this last year. Very immature solo stans who are joining seem not to understand that the BTS members are grown, very intelligent men and have each decided for themselves what kind of solo promotion they wanted. If you listen to the members themselves, they have stated that several times. These people also seem to be uninformed about the close and long relationship between Big Hit and BTS. If a member asks for something for their promotions from Big Hit, the company would do everything to get it for them. That has been their history. The right thing to do is support all the members, not just one, and stop trying to fight imaginary battles. Respect the members.

Jimin is my bias and I've never questioned anything he/they did or didn't do. I support him wholeheartedly in everything, and I do the same for the other six members. I guess I'm in the minority, because I've enjoyed everything that each member has done. I don't spend half my day posting tweets, on IG or TikTok ranting that I don't think Jin or RM (examples) got enough promotion or asking why his song isn't higher on the Billboard Hot 100, 200, et al. They've all had great success, so obviously they're doing something right. Why are people complaining? Could it be that these people complain in their every-day life about anything and everything? It sure seems like it. Wouldn't you rather just be happy? I would... and I am HAPPY. 💜

i can understand why fans might feel like some get more promo than others. but people has to look at it commercially and what is actually possible. big hit can´t just add V´s Christmas songs on all the sportify playlists because sportify also has rules. and there is just more exposure to pop music (many playlists to add on) which is why jk and jimin got more playlisting. i also think it depend on the connection the label or producers have with the radio and sportify. i dont think big hit can just pay people to get their way. or else other kpop label would have done that like they do on tik tok and yt. if you work with certain producers who has other artists and label than they have a reputation to uphold and radio and streaming platforms think ok if they produced it then it must be good and that will give them a good start. that is the reason i think jk got so much promotion and jimin only got with who. jk had multiple songs by high level producers and big collaborators so that helped. also two different fanbases was streaming. with jimin it all relied on the public response. big hit could only promote as it was with no live performances and stuff like that. and promo is only good to get peoples attention and if the song is good enough other people will listen to. both rm and v´s music is not really mainstream so i don´t get why fans of v and others is not looking at it this way. i am sure bighit knows how popular v is and would be happy if he sings a pop hit song they can profit on. but bts makes their own decision. and i think it is important for the members to try all of this out. and find out what direction they want to go. RM finally got it with his new album

Can you provide your thoughts on Stray Kids copying BTS's verse in song Hop. I am so glad that you are advising ARMY to be careful with their words. Other fandoms are trying to say we are in the wrong. Yes, we support our 7 kings 300% as we are tired of seeing other Idols and K-pop groups singing their songs and copying their shows, songs, live feeds., etc. BTS loves ARNY and WE LOVE THM. We are waiting for when they return, and will see what happens with awards, tours, brands, etc. other K-pop groups need to realize the kings will return with a vengeance.

This is very tiring subject to be honest. Especially since golden and face came out, this gained traction. Everywhere you looked it was hybe sabotaging tae. Hybe’s favorite is jk. Jimin is hybes favorite. Hybe hates v. V’s exhibition smallest. Jk gets the most promoted. Blah blah. It’s exhausting. Hybe is about dollars , period. They are a corporation. Their sole purpose is to make Money. Though bts built bighit/ hybe, they also have other artist as well. So let’s talk bts. If we are looking at money not favoritism then they would try to invest in jk. Why? He is the youngest. He is very marketable. He easily is seen as mainstream. He can easily fit into western music industry. So he is a money maker for hybe. Next is Jimin. Jimin has value to hybe because of his popularity in the west and he too can be easily marketed. As for the rap line? Though suga sold out his concerts and is extremely successful, is he marketable outside of Asia? His talent in writing and producing is his passion. He’s my bias so im going to follow him anywhere. lol. Rm? As a writer he is beyond talented and he has shown he can collab with western rappers. Can he make hybe money? Jhope? Talented dancer and has a rap and singing voice. I think he’s a huge miss opportunity for hybe. V? V has immense popularity and is a great Asian singer. Most of his popularity comes from his fandom and his shippers. Can he be mainstream . Is there a huge market for a Korean jazz singer? Then Jin? Velvety voice and good looks. He’s a star. Does Jin want to be a singer? A pop star? Or does he rather like acting and comedy? My point is that each member is extremely talented and may have different goals and aspirations. Hybe really could care less about who they like most. As bts ? They are unstoppable. Their combined talents make them super stars and the biggest money makers hybe has. The members are always humble and never jealous of each others success so why try to make it a negative when it’s “only business.”

I dont think its their promotions but rather how HYBE/Bighit promotes their activities and how they intertwine with their activities for instance Jin just dropped an Album and then they start promoting V's new song and then when Vs new songs droppped they dropped a new RM mv. So instead of giving all their attention to one song or album they immediately jump to something else.

People dont understand bts members make all decisions about their promotion. They decided the dates. Not bighit or hybe.

I am going to comment on my thoughts. I don’t speak for anyone else. I enjoy BTS. I support as many of their activities as I can, but my focus is on their music. I buy all BTS music and all their solo music and I stream as much as I can. That said, I favor Jimin. He is the one that brought me to BTS and he is the one who keeps me supporting BTS. If BTS should ever call it quits as a group, I will only follow Jimin. OT7 ARMY are fine. They are a great core group to have to support artists. Solo Stan’s are fine. People like what they like and I don’t think they should be criticized for only supporting one member. I try to ignore toxic ARMY. Now, with that said, I want to make clear that since I follow Jimin so closely, I notice certain things that get brushed off by people that just think solo Stan’s are whining. Some are but some have legitimate concerns. I can only speak for me. During Muse promotions, CTT was literally dumped into the public with no promotion. I thought this was a fan song that was a single. The label is responsible for promoting and they did not promote this song. If it was a single that might be fine but it was part of a bigger project. I question whether Jimin decided the song would just not have promotion because Jimin did a small choreo and we didn’t know until after the song was released that it was part of CTT. Since Jimin had done a series of short choreo it was easy to think this was part of his This Is Jimin series. Next, SGMB was given very little promotion. To the point where many ARMY didn’t even know it was out. Did Jimin decide to basically dump another song into the public with little announcement? Next, the pre-saves were not available until two or three days before the release of the song. Again, the label was responsible and Apple Music and iTunes and Spotify were questioned and they stated the label had not given permission to release it. How is that helpful to aid the success of the song? When Muse drop date was announced, the label also announced JK’s documentary, V’s photobook, and Are You Sure at that time. Muse only has a week of promotion that was cluttered with other promotions that could have been delayed a week. Next, the pre-saves were not available until the day before the release of the album. The labels are responsible for this not Jimin making a decision like this. Furthermore, Geffen Records Exec in charge of promotion in the US was questioned on the lack of pre-saves and he responded with promoting Sabrina Carpenter. Geffen later apologized is some vague way. To add to that, the label didn’t release the remixes until the 2nd to the last day in the first week of release, literally costing Jimin a higher spot on Billboard considering his 2nd week was higher than his first week. I doubt Jimin made that decision. The label didn’t release the song to radio until the 4th week of the song release. That doesn’t even make sense. There were other things like removing some of the remixes from Apple Music, raising the price of the digital single Who, dropping a lot of the prepared promos on the same day on a Saturday. I could site other things. For me, this isn’t about Jimin having a smaller venue than another member or Jimin not being on NPR or other stuff. Thise are clearly decisions Jimin made for the time he had available. This is mismanagement by the label. My last note is why would a label mismanage the solo career of an artist that can bring in a lot of money. I don’t know. The label dropped the ball repeatedly for Face and even more for Muse. Would Jimin leave if he felt mistreated. I don’t think so if it meant leaving his members. BTS is everything to Jimin and he has dealt with other issues such as being threatened with being cut from the group repeatedly predebut; BSH clearly didn’t think Jimin belonged. He wasn’t given vocal lessons and he debuted as the lead singer. This did not make his early singing days easy and he received a lot of criticism. I say those thoughts to show Jimin has been mismanaged previously. I have other thoughts. Anyway, for me this isn’t about differences in promotion. This is about the label failing to ensure Jimin’s vision being carried out to the best of their ability. Who could have been in the top ten on the Hot 100, but wasn’t, not because Jimin decided he wanted to handicaps himself but because the label didn’t do their best.

I would like to remind you that Jimin said in a Japanese interview, he prefered official mvs for more than two (LC, SMF) songs, but it was not accepted 🤷♀️ ... it was said outloud 🤷♀️
@michellem682613 сағат бұрын
@ I get your point. Everything Jimin wanted, didn’t happen but that is not what I am talking about. It is not if an MV was chosen or a certain venue or a number of live singing events. Once Jimin chose what he chose, the label should make the greatest opportunities to showcase his vision. I do not think the labels promoted his vision well.
@mamusek110 сағат бұрын
You are a Jimin lexicon, you follow the events exactly to the minute. I agree with you on everything. In relation to the release of the Muse album, Jimin did not receive support from the company, but the question still arises in my mind, maybe he didn't even ask for their support? Jimin achieved a lot through his own efforts and perseverance. Aside from coming up with the "Are you sure?" project, he remains modestly in the background untill this day, avoiding the public, while constantly breaking records. Jimin's promotion is his own art. Jimin proved and I am immensely proud of him! As for Fairlane's videos, sometimes I get the feeling that she not only analyzes rumors and negative news, but also spreads them, which no one needs. I'm sorry!
@michellem682610 сағат бұрын
@ Jimin is amazing and due to his excellence he has fabulous supporters who will repeatedly ask for pre-save links, furiously stream late dropping remixes, buy over priced CDs and more. I don’t think Jimin expects the supporters to do the labels’ job. In my previous post, I tried to only highlight actions you expect a label to do. I think Jimin was too busy making his vision a reality. He probably expected the label to do label things. At least the bare minimum could have been done.
@mamusek110 сағат бұрын
@@michellem6826 I don't judge without knowing the facts, the result is important to me, and Jimin achieved that alone with the help of his fans. To reach 2B streams on Spotify in 5 months is incredible, amazing and fabulous., after 5 months, he is still on the BB lists among the best in the world. What else could we want?

Looking at the comments, I realize why kpop companies, specifically Bighit/Hybe can get away with anything when you have people doing mental gymnastics to prove there’s no unequal treatment happening. Whether you like to admit it or not, it is happening and no it’s not a matter of who’s profitable. You all saying they pick their promotions and have power in the company are naive af and clueless to how companies work. The company is the one that promotes the artist. Yes the artist may have input in certain areas like maybe what show they want to go on etc but when it comes to versions of a song, playlisting, radio, ads, marketing, stock, things that actually pushes a song to new market and listeners, that is on the company. If the company conveniently only does that for 1 or 2 members while doing the complete opposite for the other, then yes it is unequal treatment. Stop being naive and stop with the stupid argument of them choosing their promos or having that much power and NO they’re not in the position to just up and leave, I don’t know why y’all make it sound so easy. There is even more pressure from the company, stakeholders and fans for them to stay as 7 BTS, so no the company won’t let one go easily. Most of all STOP RIDING FOR THE COMPANY!!!

In the beginning when Jimin released Like Crazy he wanted to make a MV for each song but was told no. Fast forward to V and Jungkook solo albums they got MVs for each song. Jimins promotion was a disaster while te other two were great. Things were a little better for his Muse album. I think the difference is if Jimin is told no he accepts it without fighting and the other 2 wont.

It’s so funny that v solos also say others got more support than him. He was working on 2 albums right after face so his promo time had to be cut short. It’s not necessary who got what. What matters is the content they gave us when they should have spent time with their families before enlisting instead of tiring themselves for their fans

BTS decided their own schedule since they signed their second contract. Big Hit only support them. Of course as a human, the employees has biased. But I don't think it is company strategy. Everyone who takes up for JK is not a solo. If that is the narrative, then what's that make all the people who constantly shade him with the "JK is the company favorite and gets special treatment" narratives? If everyone who defends JK is labeled as a solo, should all of the self-proclaimed ot7 who shade him be labeled antis and fakes? The people who run company social media accounts and some ARMYs with largest social media following create this perception. They do not congratulate and highlight members equally. And many ARMYs embrace and defend toxic solos of certain members, while trying to cancel perfectly respectful solo accounts for other members. And this is encouraged by large ARMY accounts, even if inadvertently, by them allowing followers to make derogatory remarks in their comments sections unchecked. They are even reposted at times, which amplifies the narrative. It is so frustrating.

I'm sorry but there is no ot7 Army who does that, and if they even dare do that you find all Army puling on them...on the other hand solos of each member constantly not only shade but directly insult the other members with the most vile things and compare them with each other and even undermine their craft...they literally even team up with antis and kppopies to drag the other members...this is a huuuge difference....this never used to be allowed or exist in the fandom

They are a company with its own responsibilities and professionals in marketing and production, not just taking orders from the members. The blatant evidence is "Who" is doing great on the charts and not one single write up, no congrats, no promotion unlike other labels for their artists. Yes, some fans are out there, crazy in accusations but it's hard to ignore why an English song doesn't get the full promo and radio. Why do it in English then.

JK'S genre is not for commercial only, it's the genre he loves. His voice and music suit people of all classes in maximum cases. Many people don't love rap music and when high speed rap is done in Korean, it becomes too hard to catch. What's wrong with JK's solo success. Main problem is with V' s solo fans. V always does different type of promotion, toxic don't understand it that solo work is totally artists choice.
