I'm excited. Ordered mine Thursday and I'll have it Monday. My bar was that it needed to be better than my K1 Max with hopes of it being comparable to the X1C in quality. I watched AuroraTechs video and it was great. Most of her gripes were primarily Slicer issues that I won't see because day one I'll be using Orca Slicer. @awildridehome94692 күн бұрын
AuroraTechs video, ironically, had *a lot* of VFA's and quality issues even though she for some reason says they don't. Go back and look, pause the video and compare it to previous videoes of the X1C and the Qidi Plus4. When you see the two videos side by side, you can tell her specific K2 Plus had some *big* issues. I'm sure the K2 Plus is great, but that video was the first where I lost some faith in Aurora.
@TheModShopCO2 күн бұрын
@@awildridehome9469 yeah you’re right, I saw it I just forgot that was in her video. The few weeks before I purchased I consumed a lot of K2 plus content. Didn’t see that from anyone else.
@awildridehome94692 күн бұрын
@@TheModShopCO I've seen some minor VFA's, but most people reviewing the printer don't show the prints in good enough light, or using a glossy enough filament, for you to be able to obviously spot the issues. I've never seen quite this level of youtubers "market" a printer such a specific way. Some reviewers have good units, some have bad, but most don't even bother to truly show it off. It's worrying knowing the history of VFA's with the K1 and K1 Max.

My k1 max now feels outdated. Literally metal vs plastic, you can feel how much better build quality the K2 is just by the printhead moving around. The only complain i have is the flowrate. 25-30mm³ with Hyper PLA only, not enough to print thick layers fast. Hope MicroSwiss releases a K2 hotend, the CHT nozzles push 45mm³ for perfect walls, 54mm³ till first hole in max flow test. All 0.4mm nozzle.

I hope this is indeed true, because competition is good. When manufacturers are legitmetly competing with each other, we are the ones who win. That said, Creality's reputation with me is effectively in the trash after the K1 mess. I'm going to be watching this printer and likely the next generation one close for quite a while before I'm willing to give them another shot. Once I start seeing these machines with 3000+ hours on them and if the reviews continue to say the same thing...then we shall see. I run a business and 90% of my printing are all multi color prints with each of my machines doing thousands of filament changes per week. Reliability is absolutely everything to me. That and I'll be honest, I despise Cura and I won't use it. I'll throw the following criticism at all the manufactures at this point. Quit Making your own slicers...just Pick Orca. That said I do still have one major bitch about creality that they haven't resolved. Their web store is an absolute mess. Finding spare parts is a pain. Easily knowing what parts are consumable is a pain. Bambu absolutely does this better and I'm sorry but the fearmongering about the closed system and prices never materialized. Every single consumable part on the bambu printers is cheap on their website, with the build plate being the exception. But more importantly it is super easy to navigate their site and find the exact parts you need. Need ptfe? A couple clicks, Need new filament funnels for the AMS? A couple clicks, Need new belts? A couple clicks. Creality needs to redesign their site and frankly it is time to put most of their printers out to pasture.

I have spent 100's of hours of my life and a lot of money on filament trying to tune their printers in with multiple test prints. Not any more. I bought a Bambu last year and it just works with the supplied profile. Creality is lazy. I'm sick of doing their work for them.
