I want to share my experience. I had a score of 246/390 in bitsat 2023, so i had two options in BITS, that is BITS PILANI MECH, or BITS HYD EEE. one way , mech had too less scope in the IT., and i could not choose HYD EEE, bcz i had an alternative of DTU ECE. Yes, it was entire fee factor.. It seemed just so dangerous to me to take such a heavy loan on myself.

You get your dual depending on a CGPA cutoff next year, you can also opt out of dual if you wish i.e. BE but you cannot drop your Msc degree! :P

I would suggest you to go for NITs instead, its really difficult to study at BITS with those income. Sorry, to disappoint. :/

For sustaining you would need 80% MCN, which comes at 8.7 CGPA, its still not easy to maintain that CGPA as the competition is quite there. SBI Scholar Loan coupled with MCN can still be a better option in my opinion. Getting an IT job (if you're from CSE) is quite easy and the packages are quite good. You would be able to easily repay it but do know the psychological pressures you would have to go through.
