HOF induction aside, Friedman’s opinion about goalie quality seems naive at least. Should one really value goalie’s consistency over the skill to evaluate a career? What if the guy played for Blue Jackets and Florida, not Boston, Tampa or Pittsburgh? And what is exactly the down year? In the meantime, Bob is by far Conn Smythe favourite this year, even if they lose

So, if you only play 2 years at a HoF level, that’s more worthy than 7 out of 14 years? How’s that make any sense? Bob hasn’t been consistent. but for about half his career and the years he’s been ON, he’s been near the best. By Elliot’s logic, Jim Carrey should be a HOFr.

Best goaltender still not in is Osgood. Bob is like that great but underated. He will never get in even though he deserves it.

@@hockeyfan7100 Does Patrick Roy? Because his career save % was 9.10. With a 2.54 avg. Does Martin Brodeur his career 9.12 save % with 2.24 avg. Bob's career save % 9.15 better than both Roy and Brodeur with. 2.61 avg playing for worse teams and 2 vezna trophies. So I guess Roy and Brodeur shouldn't be in there either than as they DON'T DESERVE IT!!!!!!

@theesquireofsports212 I don’t disagree… he’s just had so many terrible years. He’ll be in the hall if he wins the cup and Con Smyth for sure, but personally I feel like the Hall brings in too many. It should be the best of the best. Bobs isn’t that. He’s playing like a guy who woke up the morning of Game 4 in Round 1 and just said “well, I think I’ll go win a cup” insanely good

Bobvrosky would have been a top goalie but he's not a HoF. We speak about a goalie who lost his job before the playoffs for Alex Lyon from AHL. Bob is inconsistent from several seasons now. When he's as his top he surely his one of the best if not the best goalie. He showed it with the Cats and the Blue Jackets. But when he's not at his top he is atrocious to meh at best.
