This math works for 400-500mm gp where members have the clone teams. We 18-19 star ROTE but I doubt we earn 10 KAM shards when we do LS Geos.

My guild is getting like 20-21 ROTE stars, we were doing KAM mission in light Geo and the best we ever got was like 12 shards. Usually we got 6-10. The RNG can make it tough and the issue is people don't want to follow the guide and mess with the mods. They hit auto and let it do whatever so they always lose even with full R7 clones

even in 400M guilds like a lot of people arent KAM ready^^ avg is probably between 10-15 shards and in the 500M guilds where basically everyone is KAM ready everyone already has him 7* so the calculation in the video is a nice theory but has 0 pratical application^^

Where's the money in that? KAM makes no sense for GC or players. No revenue for CG as nothing special needed to get him. Major lost rewards by doing LS Geo over RotE. Can get 10 stars in RotE but can't even reach the KAM mission. Doesn't even make sense building clones just for him, triple that with RotE.

@@Iron_Sheep CG can sell packs. They have charged $20-$30 on 20 KAM shards. And with his rarity I guarantee it will cause folks to break open their piggy banks if his is a GL req.

I feel fortunate to have completed Wat before RotE was a thing. KAM is still a luxury. Maybe a luxury you’ll eventually need at late-late game. I imagine that if he becomes required for something important people will set up guilds that exist to farm KAM shards, but Beq-de-Corbin isn’t a meta defining team outside of TW.

Lakeside Geo really shows where your deal is at and what I mean by that is it's the hardest event to do any shows where your teams and your roster really needs work

Great video as always Phil!!!! I farmed KAM using GET3 until he was unlocked. I had to stop then because I needed the GET3 for Kyros, as buying the mark IX seems better than trying to farm Kyros out both the LS and DS nodes using the same energy. I will say I’ve been trying to figure a way to convince my guild, once we finish our Reva farm, to go back and get KAM. I’m going to use your arguments, thanks.

Hoo, as someone who made that comment I feel personally called out in this video. 😂 It's worth noting that no one in my guild is forcing the farm, I'm choosing to do it because I'm mostly done farming toons in this game, so I completely agree he's a luxury. I'm earning 10-15 shards per ROTE for what it's worth. We get 31 stars, per so I can usually buy 10 one TB, 15 the next and yes I do spend all my GET3 on KAM. Can't wait to be done by the end of may.

How I view it, from 0 shards, by the time you would 7* Kam or wat, you could have bought (edit because i messed up the math) 2337.5 kyrotech. I will never be able to justify that. I'm personally going to temporarily drop down a guild to get Kam and wat, even though I'm overall losing progress between rote, tw, and raid rewards, I also can't spend the next 3 years waiting on unlocking them both since I pretty much went straight from hoth, to rote, I have like 30 wat shards and no Kam shards.

It’s worse than that. Zero star Kam is over 2300 lost kyrotech. 5 kam shards costs 2125 get3 which equals 7 purchases of Kyrotechs which is 35 kyro. So 66 purchases of kam to get to 330 shards. 66 x 35 is 2310. That’s a full Inquisitor or Cal farm. Not worth it

@swgminer yea I messed up my math, it was not 467.5 kyrotech, it was the ability to buy the kyrotech node 467.5 times, which is 2337.5 kyrotech, I'll edit my comment

Oof, wish I could find a guild who'd make Kam an objective just during the ls geo window then we separate to our other guilds and come back to it. Like a quick form up for the challenge then depart till a month later lol. Active is key. I'd say ppl need to have higher gp to have enough mods to rotate for the Kam event. Would be alot of hassle but idk if anyone would want to make that happen. I'm 8.1 mil and i'd be interested 😅

It's kind of a catch 22. If you are in a guild where the majority of the members don't have KAM, you probably aren't at a place in the Game where you need KAM. Most of the people who could really use KAM already have him because they were already closer to the end game and earned the shards in Light side Geo when it was the top TB. KAM is a luxury, so I ignored him a long time spending the GET on more important stuff. Now I feel like I need him, but I'm in a guild where everyone else already has KAM.

As someone who needs KAM. Or feels that I could possibly benefit from having him at least, knocking another thing off my list. With many guilds having many KAM already those that would get the benefit sadly need to use their get 3 for it.

Similar to someone like Boba Scion of Jango being needed for platoons - he's a luxury toon outside of them. I absolutely think KAM is luxury, operations, platoons, etc are a different animal IMO

@phatphil117 I get what you are saying, but we need to factor everything when determining a luxury vs. necessity char. Instead of doing an arbitrary compartmentalization. New players don't always see the bigger picture or understand nuance. That being said, great video and will be sharing with the guild.

He is still needed for multiple operations in RotE in the first and second phases. At the guild level, he is not a luxury. My guild still can't really earn any shards. We never did LS Geo, so we are stuck with the slow path.

To me, its worth getting all shards first (like Wampa, Hoda, KAM) using special currency over gear. You can get that gear is other places and events but you can't for these characters

So I am in a 374m gp guild. I am one of two TB officers so I have run number for this so many times. As people keep bringing it up every other month. We have 18 rosters with KAM ready clones and given the SM difficulty I don't we would actually we get more than 10-12 successful attempts. Mix that with the difficulty of other zones it still is not worth it. We earn 22 REVA shards and get 26 stars in ROTE. There is no way the massive hit to rewards is worth it. From a recruiting standpoint no one has clones or KAM unless they are a massive account and means they would find a 430-450m gp guild based on size. We have been one KAM short for TB platoons for about 5 months now since one of our long term member quit. We can find plenty of 7-9m accounts to recruit but they again sure do not have KAM. Get3 is the way to do it so I disagree and trying to convince an entire guild to take the reward loss is silly given how big the difference is. Especially when there is a few still to finish inqs and then also start jkck farming to unlock zeffo.

I think my video proves your point that you going for KAM probably not worth it - if you're guild actually had more rosters KAM ready it'd be a different story. Really should've titled the video why you should build clones still

@@phatphil117 the video does show that and it is a very informative look at the numbers. it does still cap off with if you have enough KAM ready rosters to switch up and do some LS Geo. But I'm very hung up on if you are a large enough guild to have the 40 kam ready rosters then you would also mostly have KAM unlocked already from being around when LS Geo was the focus. That would mean probably at most 10-15 people in the larger guilds may not have KAM yet. But how would you then convince 35-40 other people to take a massive reward reduction just to get some shard for a very small group. It just doesn't seem realistic. Not meant to shit on the video as the numbers and math is there it just doesn't feel as in touch with what I assume to be the larger portion of the player base that is missing KAM and would be asking the question. I was mostly just sharing to give some perspective on the numbers and also to point out the the platoons are a really big deal for rote and us not having that last KAm preventing that 10m GP platoons bonus and reduces our phase 1 star count. To make up that 10m without the platoon is massive and take a long time with regular roster growth.

I think I see what you're saying now, I was trying to advise guilds who are almost entirely missing KAM. I don't think getting 40 players to KAM readiness is overly hard especially when considering Zeffo but do completely see your point, if only a few are missing him tough luck is the answer from most of the guild. Only thing I'd say on the reward front is getting say 30-40 KAM shards from one LS Geo deffo makes up for the difference in rewards (IMO).

This farm is not worth it. My guild is at 500m GP doing 32 ROTE, only half of us have KAM at 7*. I have him 7*, im at 10m GP, i havent even geared him, he's not useful enough in any team to prioritize.

But but spending the rewards on him honestly Kim's not the greatest character but he is good and you never know when you're going to need them for something else but yeah it's just a slow farm just use the points..... It's just like he's going to get one and get two on a negotiator and you know general Skywalker something you got to do.
