i don't understand how the Panthers (with all the wealth to research a player) did not see what you saw, but as a Texans fan i am glad they did not. Size alone i did not want Young!!! What I really liked about Stroud was the windows he threw the ball in and the anticipation (off the charts IMO). Go Texans!!!

We are in the middle of smoke screen season and if you give up that much in assets I feel like the logical choice is to take the QB that doesn't have a major red flag and a better arm. I say that as a Bama/Young fan. Young has potential to be a Brady/Manning/Brees ultra cerebral QB whose clutch and just wins, but Stroud has no flaws except mobility which is fixable and he showed growth in the biggest game of the season.

Weird, but I get more game manager vibe from Stroud. I have tried so hard to like him but just can’t. I hope he succeeds in the NFL… I truly do. I just see him feeling more comfortable with crossing patterns than anything that requires velocity. Too many throws are too low or slightly behind the receiver. I love his leadership and maybe with the right coach he will simply get better and better. I just don’t want to hitch my wagon to him.
