I'm so happy to hear the joy in Kenny's voice as he says he has more calmness the more he listens to Andrew, explaining the truths of the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ! I, too, have experienced the same thing in my life the last 6 years or so. The grace message is awesome!

That was a great message on we as God’s children being “good”. Calvinism made me feel so bad about myself all the time. It’s definitely a ‘worm’ theology.

Grace is the entry point of our relationship with Christ. We can't only live in Grace We can't live only in the love of God. The purpose of God love and God Grace is to bring us to repentance which is to turn away . The finish work of God is to make us Holy

The Bible never once says to turn away from anything to be saved, except unbelief.
@graftme316814 күн бұрын
Plus, the Bible says that just as you received Christ, continue in the same way. (By grace through faith.) Also, Paul said he never sets aside the grace of God. Just as you were saved by grace, you are KEPT saved by grace. Just as you couldn't do anything to save yourself, you can't do anything to KEEP yourself saved. Besides, if what I'm saying wasn't true, the law would have been good enough, and Jesus died for no reason. Also, just like you can't be UNborn physically, you can't be UNborn spiritually! OSAS!

To their own loss the message of THE CROSS seems foolish to some; but to us who discover our salvation there, it is the dynamic of God.

Acts 13:48 - "And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. " John 6:29 - Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” Notice that this is "the work of God" that we believe. In His Providence, we hear His Living Word, which is Spirit & Life, He makes us born again, He works the gift of faith in us by His Spirit to believe, and works in us "to will and to do His good pleasure." Our believing is as Jesus said "the work of God".

@graftme3168 God's Word states human will/desire is not the cause of salvation, but rather God's choice and mercy is the cause - Romans 9:15-16 [15] For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” [16] So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.

I've struggled with the question "Is Calvinism a different Gospel?" And i've come to the conclusion that, per it's beliefs and doctrines, yes it is, even tho it proclaims SOME of the true Gospel, just like Mormonism and JW and others, they don't actually believe in any part of the True Gospel. However, many calvinists don't even know the full teachings and they just believe in the New Covenant; so in their hearts they believe Jesus saved them not pre-selection. Also, i think God uses these christian offshoots to compel INDIVIDUALS to study scripture for themselves and get out of these denominations. The biggest problem with Calvinism is that if honestly presented to an asthiest it is not believable because it refutes itself, it discredits the Bible and the Gospel. That's why they don't initially disclose what they believe; and that's why it is a false gospel because initially and intentionally they lie about what they believe.

By God's choosing we are in Christ Jesus: 2Tim1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 1Cor 1:27-31 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God. But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

@@leroybroun4106 Farley preaches man's choice while the Bible teaches the truth like I quoted above "But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus..." Thank God He chose the foolish, weak, and despised because that's me! If it were man's choice, then man would have something to boast in, making the right choice, but thankfully there will be no boasters in God's Heaven, He made sure of it!
@leroybroun4106 Жыл бұрын
@@STEVEinNC to make that choice you have to admit to yourself that you are weak, foolish, and wicked and you need a saviour. nothing to boast about. i don see how knowing that you are a criminal and accepting someone else paying your penalty would lead to boasting; i think it would lead to being humble and grateful. lots of verses shows this if your willing, otherwise you have an evil god who condemns majority of people and then lies pretending there is hope thru the Gospel of Salvation.

@@leroybroun4106 The Bible says that God works in us to will and to do His good pleasure. It also says that our salvation does not depend on man's desire (will) or effort. If God did not work in us to will and to do what is good and right, then we would never turn to Him and repent of our sins. We're all born with the deadly corrupting evil infection of sin passed down from our first parents who got it from Satan. God would be pefectly just to throw all sinners into the Hell like He did when He flooded the whole earth, except for one family who He decided to be gracious to. God said He came to save HIS people from their sins. Who are HIS people? They are the ones Jesus prayed for in John 17 when He said He was NOT praying for the world. They are HIS people because they are OF Him and not OF the Devil. Before creation He decdied He would have a special chosen people for Himself who would be OF Him, having been born again OF His own Spirit. He came to save the righteous (Abraham believed and it was counted as righteousness). He saves His believing children (the righteous). He didn't come to save the wicked (unbelieving and unrighteous). He called the Pharisees children of the Devil and said so right to their faces which is why they had him killed. He didn't die for any children OF the Devil, He only prayed for and died for His own children OF God.
@graftme316814 күн бұрын
If you read it properly, it says that God predetermined before the foundation of the world that whoever believes will be in Christ. It is when we believe that God puts us in Christ. Calvinism is a lie. It's the same lie that made the Pharisees what they were. "We are the chosen ones and everyone else is already condemned." They banked everything on that. And, they were obviously wrong. Calvinists twist scripture and omit others. Where they can't ignore scripture, they redefine the meaning of the words.

@@aletheia8054 I agree ,but no one else does but people they call Calvinists. If God wants or wishes anything, why would it not happen? Things like "It repented God that he ever made man." What?? Why? How did the hearts of mankind do evil continually if the Holy Spirit did allow instead of restrain it? Also, what about the millions of people that never heard the name of Jesus or the gospel over the last 5,000 years? That's a lot of people God did not even give the opportunity to know Him. Even if those people will be judge by the light they have, they would all come up short of the perfection of God. In the end, it seems like we have thousands of opinions.
