Is Cape Town Safe in 2024?!

I was in Cape Town in May last year and around South Africa in general, Johannesburg and Kruger National Park and all that. Cape Town can be quite scary especially at night time particularly in the city centre. When you go out at night, they STRONGLY advise that you take an Uber even if it's just a 5-minute bloody walk from one bar to another and the security wouldn't let you out of the bar or the restaurant until you're Uber is literally outside and you have the correct licence plate of the car. I love Camps Bay though. It has a Miami-like vibes to it, and it's safer too.

Just try to stay away from CBD and Woodstock if you are nervous- focus on Gardens, Seapoint, greenpoint, camps bay, etc.

Stay away from the cape flats , especially when u a foreigner and tourist I'm from cape town and I know what I'm talking about , camps bay ,Clifton is very beautiful but for the very rich ,yea stay away from woodstock.its beautiful here have a safe stay when u come and don't wear flashy jewelry .
