Hi Jeremy. This is Rakesh from India. I have this keyboard and trust me this is one of the best low budget keyboard with Pitch Band, Touch Response, and Sustain feature. Now coming to point how to get best piano sound. Its simple.. Use a DAW Like FL Studio.

I have just bought a Casio CT3500. Its an attractive looking keyboard. The sound is Low in volume but quite adequate to practice on. Even better a headphone socket. It's all about portability. The piano sounds rather nice. Bought a sustain pedal for it. If you put the reverb on full. Sounds Great. An added bonus is the pitch bend wheel plus being touch sensitive. I Really love it. I like the key action too. For the price it's fabulous.

In Germany I have seen it as low as 93 €. Of course you should not have high expectations in the piano sound, but for a fully featured entry level arranger there is no competition at that price - both psr-e 363 and ct-s 300 cost twice as much.

Hi Jeremy. While the sounds and accompaniments ranged from just OK to poor, this keyboard packs quite a range of features for it's modest price. A good choice for someone who wants an arranger-type keyboard but on a limited budget. This can provide quite a bit of fun for a beginner, perhaps, until something better can be afforded. [Not suited to beginners whose main aim is to learn to play the piano. For anyone aspiring to become a real musician a small number of quality features is much more important than loads of features but poor in quality. Look for Jeremy's videos for aspiring pianists.]

@ShellyAnderson06244 жыл бұрын
At least it has touch sensitivity and a pitch wheel. The default grand piano is a little better than the older Casio keyboards were. The pad sounds, fantasy, flute, and EP/strings layer aren't too bad. A few of the others sounds are kinda cringey. ;).. yikes ..haha! ... Some of the auto accompaniments were very usable. So glad Casio worked hard and came up with the CT-X models. Big difference. It pays for companies to hire music technology people who think outside of the box. You have to pay them more, but it makes money big-time in the long run (especially if manufacturers keep them affordable). I wasn't crazy about the strings on this but, like, in the CT-X models, the chamber strings.. or wide strings .. most of them on the CT-X .. have a sweeter sound with a natural ebb and flow. So many strings in the low-end models have a synthetic sound .. off and on .. no natural decay. This, still, is an option for a tight budget and you can definitely make music.. especially with the touch sensitivity. I wouldn't buy anything that didn't have that. Thank you Jeremy! So great that people can hear something before they buy it. You have saved people some aggravation and reviewed some keyboards that had some nice surprises.. I liked some of the sounds on the Yamaha PSR-E273 better, but I hope people on a tight budget will spend a little more and get the PSR-E363 for the touch sensitivity.

I thought it was only me who thought that the LK280 which appears to be of similar design occasionally sounds a bit "metallic", like someone would be hitting some tin cans... My latest idea about that was that the Hall effect is turned down compared to my Yamaha psr 520 that sounds more with an echo sound as soon as you turn it on. So if you manualy ramp up the hall effect on the Casio it does sound a bit better, so I thought that was all there was to it, but now I read this comment... and now I think maybe there is more to this than just a turned down Hall effect...

Nice to see this already-slim thing has a numeric pad, a large display, and a large, reliable (if not very popular) USB connector... Hi Jeremy! Thanks to your recomendations, I just bought a casio ctk3500 for my grand daugther so she can start learning to play the keyboard (she has 6 years)...Thank you again! I have a question for an expert like you: beside the Yamaha's EL series, which other keyboards have the registration sequence program? That feature allows you to embed the registration changes into the main timeline of the song doing the registration changes automatically for me (once the preprogrammed compass-bar has arrived), instead of me kicking the foot pedal whenever I want to change to the next registration). Your answer will direct me to buy my next Yamaha keyboard (I have a PSR S700 now). Thank you in avance!
@JeremySee3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, the registration sequence program is only available on Electones from the HS series onwards. The programmed registration sequence are actually recorded in a proprietary Yamaha MIDI event with the MDR player and later on onto USB sticks. There is no Yamaha keyboard that can do that currently.
