I think there was an explanation a long time ago why he bites into the side of the burrito for the videos and that's because if your first bite is the end of a burrito, you get too much tortilla in that bite and not enough of the food inside of the burrito. It makes sense for describing the flavors in that first bite, but I'll admit it looks wrong and would be much messier eating from the side of a burrito.
