Is CHIPPING finally FIXED for the Rapsodo MLM2PRO?

I 100% agree that the chipping has improved greatly. I was able to get 4-5ft chips with a stall at the top of my backswing. I do agree with your opinion on the impact camera and how much it records.

When you checked out the full beta you appeared to get a shot that spun back I've always thought this device struggled with back spin any chance of a vid on that... Cracking content by the way ⛳👍🏼

The software has had some massive upgrades the more realistic physics were introduced a few updates ago and are great. Now the software actually takes the spin into account and so wedges will spin back, 4 irons will roll out. 👍

Great video ! Can you show it with its regular software on a projector? No third-party app. What did that look like ? Also, i have 16 ft to play with 9 ft to screen and 7 ft from back ? Would that be best ?

Thanks mate 👍. I have a video showing the native application and the recent update has made a massive difference to the experience. Yes absolutely I would be maximising the ball to screen. With the mlm2pro it doesn't need it to be maximized and the reason for this is it uses the dots to actually calculate the spin and spin axis unlike radar only based units. However if you maximise the distance ball to screen it will give you more room to swing and you will feel a lot more relaxed not feeling you are going to hit the screen in your followthrough lol. Beta is still ongoing now. Usually, Rapsodo will release the full version soon in a few weeks. This is based on the last beta test.

Hey Joe, Have you used the exputt with the connector lately? I remember seeing someone having issues with ghost putts when first getting on a green. I'm debating on going from the r10 to the Rapsodo with the Exputt.

I haven't used it lately mate but I didn't have any of those issues. If there are I'm sure Springbok would have fixed it as he owns the MLM2PRO and exputt so he has a vested interest 🤣. Exputt and MLM2PRO would be a KILLER combo now with the chipping finally fixed!

How does your simulator time transfer to the actual course? With the new update being pushed out, i just got the mlm2pro. I don't get to go out golfing as much as id like but im hoping i can bridge the gap with indoor simulator.

It is massive for me... That's why I'm so intent on making all these devices as accurate as possible 🤣 I play a handful of times outdoors a year just due to my current situation. And the rounds I do play are generally in competition and can say that my game transfers to the course. It's funny I used to be such a feel player but now on the course I find myself using all my Sim feels and little things to get distance correct.

also, because this unit has radar as well. Have you tried using the RCT balls with the rapsodo black dot stickers? Might be something worth trying?

The RCT golf balls wouldn't do anything with the MLM2PRO and that's because it's not using the radar to capture spin numbers. It's only using the radar for speeds and launch angles. This unit uses the RPT balls pattern to calculate spin and spin axis.

Are the issues you see all over the forums on connection issues resolved, or are there still concerns about randomly disconnecting?

Connection issues for me were resolved when I set up my wifi extender in my room. I honestly think this unit doesn't like some routers... That's the only thing I can put it down to. I was using a hotspot for a while and that fixed the connection issues so I thought about using a wifi extender and I only connect my iPad and MLM2PRO to it and it has been flawless with connection ever since.

I thought I read that one of the people who looked at their code saw something for putting (this was early on, last year sometime). I don’t see why they couldn’t, even if we had to place the rpt ball a certain way for an easier tracking algorithm. Maybe the putter would just block it too much, idk.

@@PharmDad10 Yes that is true! But I'm not sure... After only just fixing chipping I just don't know if I can ever see it coming. I just don't think it was ever really designed to do putting. It's like the mevo plus it can do putting but it isn't great.

@@PharmDad10 I think it’s very possible for them to do it. Remember, we had two cameras you were able to use your phone and the rapsodo they could use the phone for tracking putts
