Thanks mate! Yes now I think it will be all about refinements. New or more driving range options, a bloody landscape mode, data in the Rapsodo courses! Just let me see my ball and club speed lol, eliminating no reads, a speed training mode so you can get club speed without hitting a ball... Just a few things I'd like to see in the next update.

This is great news. I purchased my MLM2Pro 2 weeks ago, just in time for the Minnesota winter. Got my SIM cage setup in my garage, using a TV screen. This is an amazing little unit for the money. I'm pretty happy with it. Subbed.

@@JLagGOLF I would like to do that, but, baby steps my friend. I'm using E6 right now. GS Pro would be ideal, but that entails the addition of a gaming laptop and a more complex setup. I see it in the cards for a future addition, perhaps in a year or so. Next upgrade will be the projector and impact screen, hopefully soon.

Tbh I feel like if they wanted to really push it they could figure out putting but I really don't think they will as I don't think they really intended for this unit to be used as a joke simulator device with GS Pro... But it works great for everything else! Pair it with the ex putt now and really you have a SERIOUSLY good simulator.

Thanks mate! I really don't think they will do putting just because I don't feel like this unit was ever intended to be used for that or tbh even in the capacity we are pushing it with for GS Pro! But it is extremely good at it! I think they potentially could get butting working with it if they really wanted to but I don't think they will.

I would like to see if they fixed the ball physics on the Rapsodo native courses where there was no back spin on wedge shots. But as I say that out loud - who cares, especially since you can use this thing to play GSPro, Awesome Golf and E6.

Good video, i tried some shots on the update but got a lot more no hits but also i have a net instead of a room. Net is about 10 feet away. I'm curious what your setup is for the mlm as in is the mlm the same height as in is the floor your hitting on. Mine is 1/4 up for the ball since its on the mat and the mlm is on the concrete. Also the distance you use for the mlm behind the ball. I think a good video would be to show the difference on the mlm between having a set up like your that we would all wish to have and having a net to see if the mlm would perform the same for reading the different "background nets" per say.

Hey mate you can see exactly how it's set up in this video if you skip to somewhere around the middle. kzbin.info/www/bejne/foLEpHRnrdeifpo I always get mine at the same level as the hitting mat! A lot of people actually put it slightly higher than their hitting mat. That's odd about the no reads. Have you tried moving the ball slightly forward? I found I had to move ever so slightly forward from where I side to hit the ball. I'm running minimum distance of 6.5 feet unit to ball just to try and maximise the ball to screen distance. Cheers

Great review Joe. I did find you need to keep the stroke shorter and faster. If you do a long slower back/down swing there are so many more no reads!

It really is! Yes it will be interesting to see what they bring out and when.. Garmin generally has longer product cycles but the r10 has been out for a while now! It will be interesting to see if they stick with the radar based unit or come out with a gc2 style camera unit. Can’t wait to find out! Also it will be interesting to see if they take the subscription based model like Rapsodo for say spin axis indoors. I hope not!!!!

Joe, how important is it to get the ball in the box during setup? And if it is in the box, does that also mean that it is level? I have about 12 feet to my net and sometimes right handers struggle for their chips to show when hit just to the net low. Any suggestions would be great!

Hey mate so I have started to pay less and less attention to the yellow box since I bought the unit. I just do it by distance now if I'm honest. I have definitely noticed that I need to carry it at least 6ft for it to register chip shots. I also think a little height on the chip shots is required also for the unit to pick it up.

Would be very interesting to see if it would now register a putt from say 1 foot off the green ( which is what I would normally do on the course ). I think it might if the putter was a dark colour as I agree that the 4 hybrid most likely did not register because it was white. I am guessing it may pick up long putts but not the shorter putts because the putter head would obscure the ball from the camera for most of the swing in the shorter putts????

I'll definitely do some more testing! If it's anything like the R10 I know there was a ball speed cut off where it just wouldn't register it's as if it needed a certain amount of Doppler shift for the radar to recognise it. But the MLM2PRO has the cameras! So theoretically it should be able to do it if they put more emphasis on the cameras for detection on the shorter shots. I'll test out the shorter putts with a dark putter but I wouldn't hold your breath 🤣

Just got the mlm3pro i hit a chip of about 12 foot and it goes 60 plus yards on the software everything is upto date any help please Hitting into a net 10ft away off of a mat outdoors

This is such an impressive little unit. I'm gutted I don't have the space for it my distance to screen is about 2-2.4m. So around 7ft. I have the gc3 more than happy with its accuracy but obviously the price is alot more and I have only ball data atm.

It is a fantastic unit but honestly you're not missing out when you own a GC3! They are amazing. If you do a lot of golf outdoors and range work then the Rapsodo is a fantastic unit to take to the course with you to complement your GC3.

After a no-read, the sim won't register another shot unless I do a muligan on the simulated courses! Do u know how to fix this?

That is really random.. I haven't experienced that myself usually I do get a few no reads but then I just hit again and it registers. Do you get any other indications?

It only happens in a game simulation. After a bad chip, it flashes blue, goes green and no other shot after that registers unless I use a mulligan or restart the hole. The MLM2pro camera is on when I check the line. Thank you for reading this and any help you can give!@@JLagGOLF

Hey Joe, I did this update on my android and it is not reading the data accurately with he new range through the gspro connector . I think it has to do with he white line going through the middle of the numbers. Can you get to the bottom of this?

for that hybrid no reads it might be something to do with your hybrid's white head which would interfere with the ball . Because I do not think it is using just the radar for those. It also uses the camera and probably it needs to see the ball clearly.... Disadvantage of units which are set behind are the impossibility of seeing the ball clearly for those type of shots.... It is a tough ask when you have a club behind the ball 😉😉 So that's why I assume we won't see a putting function unlike the side mounted units. Because their vision is not obscured ...

Yes this is a very good point! I tend to agree I don't think we will see putting from it and I don't think that's what Rapsodo intended for this unit to be honest. It is now exactly what it was supposed to be now it's all about refining everything! From the application (landscape mode), Limit or fix the no reads, more functionality within the app, updated driving ranges... I'm excited for future updates now!

Hey Blake thanks mate! So more accurate I would say no absolutely not the MLM2PRO is incredibly accurate it's scary! However there are pros to the more expensive units.. for example less involved to connect to GS Pro they have official connectors so they work great and have support, you don't have to use RPT balls or Ball dots it's just drop any ball down and hit, The ability for the unit to do putting really well and not have to use another device. The eye mini is really really good but still needs a few updates to make it GREAT! In my opinion, it needs updates to slightly tweak the club and ball speeds. Tested it against the GC quad a few days ago and it was consistently two to three miles an hour slower for ball speed with the driver. It was also slower on the irons as well about 2 mph difference. The one thing Uneekor has going for it is the whole ecosystem so the performance optix is just next level for a home golf setup. Once they figure out the ball and club speeds and also the odd misread that I get every 18 to 27 holes, I'll just get a massive misread that's not realistic. Soon as they figure those out which can all be done with software updates, it will be incredible. The GC3 is fantastic. It just works. That's the beauty foresight. They've got their products so refined now that they just work. However, you do pay for it!

Almost positive you are aware of this but on the off chance that you aren't or that someone reading isn't I will say it. If you have a 3d printer available to you there is a ball marker on thingiverse that allows you to mark your ball with a pen/sharpie in the rapsodo ball dot pattern. I would love to be able to also tell you that it works but I only have the 3d printer, I do not own the mlm2 yet. Still trying to decide which way to go on that front.

everyone knows that one and the reason for people not using it more often is because it leaves marks on the hitting screen . If you are using a net it is a viable option but you have to check the ball each time you hit if one of the marks is erased or not...

I just ran the firmware and software update, and now the connector to GSPro doesn't capture information to allow me to use GSPro any longer. Have you had any connectivity issues with GSPro after running the updates? Any tips if the connector shows errors for club speed or spin rate?

Hey mate are you using android? In the new update unfortunately they have made the cart path whiter and the metrics that are on it are really struggling to be read. If you are on an android tablet you should be able to adjust them so they aren't on that white cart path line. If you're on phone then you will have to wait unfortunately Springbok and Paul are trying to come up with a solution. They have a beta version out now that you can try but they said it will take a little bit of time while they come up with a better solution 😭.

How do you update the firmware in the unit?

Once you are connected head to the profile section and click on the device from there you will see the current version of the software you are running and if there are updates. You do need to be in the wifi connection method to update though you cant be in the direct connect mode. Cheers

Hey mate this is an independent review. I don't get paid or am not a Rapsodo employee. I think the Rapsodo is incredibly accurate however with the most recent update really isn't great. I think the chipping needs work as I said in my most recent Rapsodo video. If you're having issues I suggest contacting Rapsodo support mate. Cheers
