Sometimes I'm happy they don't get the GB. That would have deprived so many of the experience of hearing him sing...if he shoots straight thru. I remember seeing Chris on the show. Everyone in the audience had tears in their eyes, as well as judges. Golden Buzzer performance if I ever saw one. This song invokes feeling to begin with, but Chris’s rendition came from the soul. His voice, soft as an Angel and strong as on ox. His kind spirit all lends itself to his outstanding performance. To win this show is practically impossible, like winning the mega millions lottery. You never know what people are going to vote for from a talking dog, magic, dance, etc. Talent scouts keep their eyes on shows like these looking for new raw talent. I hope this show was the catalyst for Chris to help him on his way to his dream. He deserves it.

Simon is the executive producer, so he definitely knew. Making the rounds on these talent shows is pretty common. Jessie J competed in China, Loren Allred was on The Voice US and Britain’s Got Talent, and there have been about 20 people that have done The Voice and Idol. I think producers want to ensure there is always some real standout talent. If everyone is mediocre, people will lose interest.

Yes it is known that they have talent scouts that find real talent for these shows I know somebody who was scouted out for idol one season. But what bothers me is they act like he came in from the woods and he was on stage for the first time, and he was told to act all surprised that he got all the applause that he did… very manipulative

It’s all about manipulation I mean everybody knows you go through at least 4 rounds of auditions with producers before you get on the stage and yet embarrassingly bad auditions seem to still get through. There was a formerly popular KZbinr with over 1M followers that was asked to audition for AGT. His talent was looping music. The talent didn’t work well live as on KZbin he could do multiple takes. Well his auditions went horrible, he couldn’t get through a single song. Kept messing up, and yet the producers loved him, kept telling him how great he was, and passing him on to the next round of auditions. He quickly realized he was a “bad act” there to be purposefully humiliated, so he refused to sign the contract and didn’t appear on the live taping of the show.

Absolutely beautiful. He has the kind of voice that I would love to listen to for hours. It's amazing when somebody can sing so softly but with so much strength and then keep changing different aspects of his voice throughout the song that made it's so wonderful to listen to him. I'm not a musician so unfortunately I don't know technically what you would call all of that. His voice was a beautiful instrument. He reminded me of James Taylor and John Denver. But he has his own unique sound. It is too bad he didn't get the golden buzzer but that doesn't mean he's not going to be discovered or go on to the next round until he gets to the finals. The audience absolutely loved him and so did the panel. Everybody was very touched. And that includes me.
