A Christian nationalist is a person who identify as Christian & advocates for a Theocratic monarchy. A Christian nationalist isn't Republican or Democrat, they are conservative in belief & politics.

There are, indeed, Republicans and Democrats, who identify with Christian nationalism. You can see that demonstrates in Perry’s books. That said, your first sentence does not represent Christian nationalism, for it has never been about monarchy, even before its contemporary iteration. Thanks for watching.

@@biblegeekPhD there are Republicans & Democrats that claim to be Christian nationalists but Christian nationalists don't want to setup a Republic or Democracy, we want to establish a Theocratic monarchy.

You contradict so much in this video. Well, i guess you may be a total Democrat. 1. Christian is to bring the blessings of God to all nations. Who are the pioneers in sending out missionaries in the past decades? The Americans. In fact, US is still the top nation in sending out missionaries. 2. You have selectively ignored that God also reminded through Moses to the leaders of Israel to take care of their own people by bringing justice & providing welfare. 3. We need strong Christian leaders to lead the US, because this special nation is established on the foundation of the Christian faith. To deny Christian "nationalism" (not according to your biased definitions) is to deny God's blessing to this one great nation under God!

It shouldn’t matter what political affiliation I hold; you have made an assumption. What should matter to you is that I am a Christian. Missionaries do not spread the gospel for brownie points for the country, they do so for God’s kingdom. Their work has nothing to do with the US or not. And, my many friends in the mission field would say that the US mission support and action has declined heavily as of late, because of the nationalist rise in the religious right. Missionaries struggle to raise support because US citizens don’t care to support foreign aid, and so on. But alas, the story you have been told is a myth. The United States is not special, it is not exceptional, and it is a myth that it was founded on Christianity. Many of the founding fathers were deists (not Christian) Thomas Jefferson even made his own Bible, where he literally cut out portions of scripture and heavily edited the text. The reason the founders created the separation of church and state was because they wanted to keep the church out of politics. They had broken away from European countries with state churches, and they did not want that. The founders would be appalled at those who want to infuse politics and religion. These basic historic facts were all taught to me st a conservative Christian college, by a conservative and very republican church historian, who specialized in US religious history. The myth you have been taught is a Christian nationalist myth, one that skews US history. Christianity should never be about making your own nation good or holy, it should be about the good news of Jesus. I am all for justice and welfare of people, Christian nationalism, however, is not. It privileges people they deem as Christian, it is concerned for their welfare, and it pushes everyone else to the margins. God’s true justice and true welfare does not from political power and nationalism, but through the love of neighbor, the caring for the poor, charity for the down trodden. These things do not privilege a nation or a faith, because God cares for all people, wherever they are from. The good news of Jesus should be good news for all people, but when Christians just want to make their nation good, they have fundamentally misunderstood the good news of Jesus. Thanks for watching.
