1. Her healing isn’t enabled by her plunges. She heals by tapping ult, like Jean. 2. She enables every character to be able to do plunge attack. That way you can implement plunging in your combos (like Hu Tao or Raiden’s cases) or find new ways to play character. So, no, you don’t need to learn dragonstrike in order to play Diluc with her, jumping and plunging is enough.

She has one burst of healing when you use her burst, and then beyond that, she only heals and does additional damage when you plunge. Additionally, I didnt mean to say you had to dragon strike, I meant you can now simply plunge with diluc or other characters. Sorry about any confusion there, I'll be more concise in the future.

raiden’s plunging animation counts as burst damage instead of normal attack so xianyun won’t be able to buff her unfortunately 🫡

@@beazmetry apparently, Xianyun buff includes Raiden too, because she considers whenever the animation of plunge plays or not. Similar to Xingque, Raiden can trigger his rainswords. Is it as far as leakers are saying, whenever it would be the same in the final game is unknown.

She’s not only for Xiao. She can make everyone plunge attack and buff them at that. The only downside is that they nerfed her ability to group the enemies when her E is activated, so that’s a bummer, but I guess they have to keep Kazuha’s selling point relevant.

you're wrong, Cloud Retainer buffs Diluc, Noelle, Hutao, Gaming, Klee, Keqing, Chongyun and many many others AND Xiao. I dont know why people think that only xiao can make use of plunges when dragonstrike diluc is freaking breaking the game with plunges overshadowing hutao. Plunges are good source of damage, it's just before cloud retainer there was no reliable way to do high plunges, just look at Motion Value of plunges and compare it to charged attacks! It's twice as big if not more! Plus it doesnt have ICD! You can make use for it for Cyno, making his gameplay even more fun looking like real DDR, where you should time your jumps AND his E. I would say 50% of main dpses will benefit or at least sidegrade by using her.

Gaming, Cyno, Heizou, Raiden, Hutao, Xiao, Klee, Keqing, Diluc, Chongyun, Noelle, Lisa + any other catalyst used as Driver or Main Dps can make use of her and it will be comaprable if not better than thier best teams, and i'm sure i slipped some characters off the list by accident. Now compare it to Gorou or Sara who have only 1-2 character who they work with, being Itto/Noelle and Raiden.

Things to point out, plundge attack are know for their high modifiers, combine that with making transformative reactions it makes even hu tao teams have a new best in slot member. She opens up a new playstyle for members that can take advantage of that role which is quite a lot actually. Considering that the majority floor 12 are bossed base that CANNOT be pulled in I would tale the free crit rate any time of day. Not every animo should have pulling capabilities, I feel that the community has been too spoiled with Anemo has to be only for grouping, this feels like fresh air that I’ll welcome. You could make an argument that she is just a side grade to Jean, if you just focus on the healing part itself. But truth of the matter is that she brings more to the table, instant 5 particle even if you tap her skill once, burst aoe healing on cast, aoe healing over time and a buff that is comparable to Shenhe that is not locked behind an element that can be used for boss killing. Anyways I’ll like to continue this discussion of this if y’all are interested!

When Jean is played in a Furina team she does the same healing over time thing just like Xianyun thanks to Furina's overhealing passive so it doesn't really make her better than Jean.

Plunge attack is a rare move to pull out. But it delieves an AoE damage, perfect for Crowd Control. Especially the High Plunge DMG.

Note: There are few ways to use the plunge attack. Like climbing a Geo structure(Geo Traveller's pillar, Zhongli's pillar, Albedo's elevator). Or Venti's elemental skill, which able you to lift yourself in mid air.

Funny, my first abyss full stars was with Tignari, Dori, Fischl and Traveller 😂. Dori is good but the builds people suggest are bad, i builded her with elemenral mastery, electro demage bonus and crits, because at that time i didint have any strong electro except Fischl and Beidou. That Dori i builded was 2 thunder fury 2 wonderers troop and she was able to deal 18k with her elemental skill. You dont need to give her much hp because she heals a lot, main sustats i choose is atk%, energy recharge, crits, elemental mastery and just some hp on substats. Since i can play Dori, definetly i go for cloud retainer, still i am not sure but i will spend all my primo savings for her constellations or weappon.

I didnt choose hp for Dori because her demage increases with attack, and i tested her with few hp and anyway she heals so much. Even i am proud with my Dori, she can be much stronger, there are Dori c 6 can deal 60k with normal attack (mine is c 4😢)

every character has their own unique set of abilities and will interact with each other differently. I don't know why people would not expect to have a few here and there that fit in more restrictive roles with smaller team comps.

@@tuna3997 early on they quite dynamic. Aside from the og XL,XQ,Bennett characters tend do more. Zhongli gives stun, Albedo gives EM, Hutao&Rosaria gives crit, Diona gives EM, you get my point which is the direction they take. (You can argue Sparkle is niche because she favor Quantum, but you can't ignore the +15%cr, some cdmg and the chunks of SP she provide for Dan Heng IL.)

I’m not understanding how your comfortable with a 5* buffing only one element who has only a few good dps but not comfortable with a character buffing multiple characters from potential all elements and maybe you haven’t heard bc we don’t all look at the same leaks but she allows your character to plunge as in she can make then jump similar to how high xio can so her kit does make more sense and does it rrly matter if they removed her cc? Seeing as how plunge would move enemies away I think that a ramping cr buff is just fine as a replacement unless your above 100 crit your can never have enough

i think she will be crap for meta, but VERY good for everybody else.. plunging with everybody will give birth to A LOT of lol for fun builds, i already thought 3 or 4 team. I really don’t know where you got the idea from that shes only really good for Xiao. Because its just a lie. She single handily makes Gaming, Diluc and Chongyun become decent DPS units. She is also BiS in Hu Tao teams that don’t have C6 Furina (Hu Tao, Yelan, Furina, Xianyun) and makes them much easier to play because the new combo with Hu Tao doest even consume half you stamina bar. She also allows basically every single character that can be infused with Bennet C6 to become good enough of a DPS to clear Abyss. Besides that, if you don’t have Jean, she can be that + TTDS even if you don’t plunge at all. Plunges are very good attacks not just on Xiao and she enables every unit to perform them and makes them even stronger. As a conclusion: If you play Xiao, Hu Tao, Diluc, Gaming, Raiden with Furina (the list goes on, but those are the one that profit the most) or any otherwise bad DPS that has a decent plunge multiplier, she is a very good pull. If you already have Jean and you don’t plan to plunge in the team, she is too minor of an upgrade to be worth pulling. I also want to clear up some misconceptions about the last balance changes: Her grouping being removed doesn’t really matter since it was shit anyways, due to auto-targeting forcing you to use it on top of an enemy. The buff to her particle gen was a massive buff since you don’t have to tripple E anymore saving field time. Her new passive + the buffs to her numbers just makes this balance change even more of a buff. Overall it was a pretty nice buff.

Well maybe because most of their kit doesnt suit it. Alhaitam, yoimiya, ayato, childe, wanderer, wriothesley, eula, cyno their kit are normal attacking. While Nuevillete, ganyu, tighnari, ayaka, keqing, itto, klee, lyney their kit are charge atk. So only xiao, and maybe hutao or c2 raiden could benefit from xianyun buff. And I think is hard to play hutao N2CJP while her N1CD is enough to clear any content in the game

Sword self infusing characters like Ayaka, Alhaitham, Keqing don't really want to plunge either. Candances kit scales of HP but her PA scales of attack... Etc. I see only handful of units that really can take advantage from her buff.
