I've been going to christmas markets every year for the past three years and managed to visit Nuremburg, Dresden, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Mainz, Essen, Dortmund, Paris, Strasbourg, Basel, Colmar, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Prague, Vienna, London, Birmingham, Cologne. When you went to Cologne, you could have visited Dusseldorf, Dortmund, and Essen in a day (or two). That's what I did this christmas. Essen prob has my favorite sandwich I've ever had at a christmas market "Der Klopper". A steak sandwich with garlic sauce. My favorite food over all to get at a christmas market is apfelpfannekuchen (apple pancake with chunks of apple that is basically shallow fried so it's kind of donut like with crispy edges). I also can't turn down fresh churros. You're right, def shop around. Food at xmas markets are expensive in general. Many vendors source the same food (like brats, etc) so if you want one, you can goto a smaller christmas market where it might be cheaper and pretty much eat the same thing. It's like eating currwurst in Vienna, it's all good. Speaking of that Vienna is probably one of my favorite. Another favorite is when they just grill marinated meat on a stick. Colmar was probably the prettiest christmas market. But I think doing a trip thorugh Germany will give you the best xmas markets overall. Plus the train is convenient. BTW, you can easily see which mug a place has without buying by just looking at the ones on the shelf or in everyone's hand. When you do research on the markets, try to visit the official german sites. There's lots of blogs out there with outdated info or sites that just just guess at dates.

My favorite market so far! 🥰 When we lived in Belgium, my wife and I went often to Cologne, about an hour drive from where we lived. Those Kartoffelpuffer are to die for! In my opinion the best are made in that city! Well in a couple days I am driving to Innsbruck, it ain't gonna be easy without my sweetheart 😮‍💨but I have to get out. Love your videos, Frankfurt is another city I love. Looking forward to that one!

That's what everyone's been saying. They LOVED the Cologne Christmas Markets & for good reason! They're SO well decorated. I found myself just trying to get as much B-roll as I possibly could. You're going to absolutely love Innsbruck & all the food at the markets. It's 100% worth that trip. Have the best time Eddy!!!

We thought the same thing!!! There's definitely a gap in the market for most US cities to have something like this. I know if they had a Christmas market in Nashville, people would FLOCK to it. Maybe a business opportunity in there for us or something!!!!🤣
