Money, obligation, and external expectations changes everything. Theres a good side and also a bad side to that. Some can find a balance and others get lost in it which leads to being miserable within the very thing you built. That was me a couple years ago. It's been a journey back to finding myself and that balance. Great video bro.

My "Why?": It makes me happy. 😃🤗 It's the one thing I do that feels like it's what I am meant to do. I come alive creating and listening to music. I also get to meet other creative people (the community) that are happy creating and doing what they love. Having that kind of synergy in my life is an indescribable magic. Your why - doing it because it's fun and you can see yourself doing it for the rest of your life - is your why.😉 I don't think there is a right or wrong answer to this. We are humans and we evolve. Find your happy thought and hang on to it until your next happy thought inspires you beyond the first. 😊

Good video, the struggles of an artist. The ironic part is that both the OG video and this video are, in fact, a piece of content. 😂

My why: Music is my life and my God-given gift. It got me out of bad situations and it got me into becoming my creative self. Music and especially producing music is literally everything and I couldn't live in a world without it.

I learned from all the smart adults in my life through my teenage years that you have to one way or another switch your career path regardless of how far you got because either you get burnt out or it's just not your calling anymore I'm using text to speech or speech to text on my tablet so there's just going to be one big run on the sentence here but essentially for me I'm going to be making music then I'm going to be publishing other stuff and yeah most wrappers do end up using ramp so they could branch off into other things whether it be a new genre or politics or acting I personally want to just become the next Walt Disney cause I'm not afraid to call out the elephant in the room that's what we were all trying to compete for regardless of what you have it's kind of sad and weird to think that we're all competing to be Walt Disney but we all have different rewards in mind that we want so if you're not reading this as a creator I know you're not going to relate to this but either way it's all just a **** show until you wake up the next day unless you're still thinking about it

My why is genuinely about joy… the joy of making others enjoy the moment in a world where love is needed more than ever. If I can help to make others forget about their problems even for an hour, it brings me great happiness. I also love the learning and process of playing an instrument… becoming a multi-instrumentalist has brought me much soul-satisfaction. Love this vid, man!

Loved the commentary on an insightful video, especially this quote -- "Creativity is a tool for discovery, discovering our own depths, our own gifts and then finding ways through mediums to bring them out into the world." My why: Constant learning, constant improvement. I've put music aside for several years and now that the tech has gotten way better, the ramp-up has been a lot easier -- not that I've improved much (sadly), but at least it's MUCH faster to get stuff produced and pushed into the musical ether. One thing that has been interesting to see is how the perception of FL Studio has changed over the past several years. Logic/Pro Tools used to be all the hype and FruityLoops was mainly scoffed at ... now, it seems... acceptable.

My why for making music would be making time for my family. I love the idea of finishing what my dad started and not giving up for the same reason he did. Because he was great to us and his jobs and what they paid would be his only downfall he speaks about to this day.

This was a great watch and something I needed to see today. Love what you touched on at the end about learning. For me, always wanting to learn has helped boost my creativity in many ways and has kept me going over the years! I think it would be cool to see you documenting your journey learning those instruments, or learning anything else.

Bruh, I’m resonating so much to what you’re saying.. in fact, I feel like I’m going through the same period, and we’re same age with you. I also feel the same way about content? I don’t even know if I wanna keep doing it cuz it just feels like a non ending rat race.. 😢 As for my “why”, I wanted to be a superstar when I was starting out and this “why” doesn’t resonate with me at all anymore. So, I either have to find a new “why” or the new passion.

My why: I create music to help discover more of myself. I create spaces for myself learn to and push myself outside my own comfort zone. I make music that I like that I want to listen every day. I just like to have fun and explore who I am and have the freedom to express myself and sonic space. Really to create the soundtrack to my life and feelings. Also to me sharing that self expression is deeply healing.

Its an interesting concept. All business works the same way. If you stop then nothing comes in. As people who make content why do we tend to not realize this point? I started my music channel as a way to give back and help beat makers get into sync licensing. It would be nice to make money from posting on KZbin but that isn't my goal. I make 4 videos in three days and post them. I don't track numbers or worry. If it helps a few people then I achieved my goal. On the side I started learning how to DJ. I have a passion for music and Dj'ing compliments my skills as I teach group fitness so I can talk on a mic. Plus I don't have to post content to get booked. I work for a company and they do all the work and I show up. My boss is excited that I'm learning how to DJ because that means he can book more weddings and events. If I find my own gigs it's easier access to being paid then relying on making content to make money. I want to make my money from my skills and not how much I post online.

Also, my "why" changed over the years. I started making beats almost 20 years ago. My "why" back then was oh this is "cool" and I would love listening to all of the dope beats of the time. However, when I got in my 20s my why I wanted to be a Grammy Award Winning Producer. Now in my 30s, I continually want to make the best music I possibly can, while helping others to do the same. It's okay for your why to change. Your creativity should grow with you, and no one can ever take that away from you.

Maybe you become a mixing engineer that way you don't have to focus on content. At that point you are just mixing music for artists and labels and your connections/quality of work is what matters.

My why is to make so much money that money stops existing to me and I can be creative without having to show my creations to anyone. I also don't want to be bothered by the cost of lifes needs(e.g., air, food, drink, shelter, clothing, warmth, sex, sleep, security, and safety). Life is seasonal. Now, is the season of planting seeds for the future where I'm creative without having to show my creations to anyone and I don't have to be bothered by the cost of lifes needs. It's money time! I'm delaying gratification. I'm working now so that I can play later(preferably forever). I don't want a Lambo or 1000 B1tch$, I want to retire from working in capitalism indefinitely. Usually, people don't know why they should make a lot of money, so they think making a lot of money is pointless. It's because they don't have a meaning or purpose to begin with. Creativity needs your mind to be free. clear. not littered. unobstructed. uncluttered. unimpeded. Being worried about rent, water, electricity, or where your next meal will come from makes it difficult to be creative.

Your eco system has to be sustainable. Make the art for yourself not the audience. I believe there is a difference between entertainment and art. It is subtle but entertainment gets attention it is disposable. Art lasts beyond the moment because its agenda is different. Art is not trying to entertain and if it does its a ruse to slip something more subversive into your mind. That's why Oppression locks up artists, teachers and writers. The performers get left alone. If they own the performer they control the message.
