the playstyles of messi and ronaldo are quite different. Ronaldo depends on his physicality, pace, and etcc... Messi depends on his dribbling. The point is that as the players grow older the physical stats start to abandon in the case of ronaldo he cant have same the pace once he reaches 34. Messi can play until his 40's because he relies on dribbling, if he stops scoring he can start assisiting other players. Also defenders are becoming much more better than ever

Messi is only 30 and he has 5 Ballon dors, With the bad form of Ronaldo and it seems that his prime is well gone. The way Messi has changed himself into a Playmaker and look as good as ever, Im afraid for Ronaldo, Messi is gonna win at least 2 more!

Huge Ronaldo and Real Madrid fan and I don't like Barcelona and Messi but as a football fan I have to admit that Ronaldo is on a decline and you could notice that decline since the euro 2016 , you could see his lack of pace and now you could see it more clearly that he's lost his physical attributes in which he relies heavy on , but Messi is getting up there in age and you can't see any type of decline on his game , I hope Ronaldo gets his form back but I just don't see it coming back , it's sad to see him going down like this but he's finished , still tho .. hala Madrid !! :,)

He's old and almost all his skills rely on physicality, not technical ability. Sooner or later this would happen. But he has merits too keep a top class athletic body for so long, performing at the very highest level.
