​​@@Donnerwampcrazy enough I got it on launch on ps4 pro and played absolutely fine, with the only annoying bugs being slow texture load or the city looking pretty much deserted if you drove too fast. Meanwhile my friend was playing on a good PC rig and his game was a complete shitshow we were so mind boggled 😂 " I now own a copy on both my PC and PS5, but sense of still running a MSI GTX 1080 " I played mostly on console and just mess with mods on PC and can safely say it's one of the greatest games ever made

It wasn’t a game at launch , it was art. Art intended to simultaneously make you laugh whilst getting you unbelievably angry. Wether it was entire buildings spawning in on top of you and trapping you , or 0 npc’s or cars whatsoever, or having to walk the entire time because if you sprinted the game couldn’t load quick enough and you would fall through the floor.

Am I the only one who thinks video games of this calibre are too cheap? People complain about how expensive they are, but if you buy a boxset of Breaking Bad, you get way less hours worth of entertainment for a higher price. Think of what the game corporations could do with all that extra money, and the workers could get a higher wage.

Console player here with a honest review. Game is awesome and worth it if u buy it on sale 50% off. The DLC is also really cool. While i did experience some bugs none were that game breaking BUT i did exerience some really annoying ones. (I played it this year after the recent update for anyone asking). Game overall is great i highly recommend Both Story and gameplay are a huge W if u like GTA like games with futuristic style.

All of the things mentioned (Night City being a place, activities, characters, capitalism corruption and sentient AI themes) were all there in the beginning. The updates changed how the combat feels, the skill trees, and fixed texture pop ins, broken cut scenes, and random t-posing. Like did you play the game when it released?

Sure did. On top of the bugs and performance issues, Night city felt dead. The few NPCs that were around were brain dead zombies, police just spawned in behind you, gangs didn't chase you in vehicles, there was no vehicular combat, there were fewer mini games and side quests. I really don't understand the defence of the game at launch. It was objectivity and demonstrably worse in almost every way.

@@goukigod ​I'm not defending the state of the original game, it's definitely better now. And I'll update what I said before and add that the AI improvements and improved wanted system were huge too. But my original point is that your video comments on mostly everything that wasn't affected. The quality of the city, the amount of activities and side missions, the characters, the themes around capitalism and AI. Unless you're comparing the base game to the DLC content, none of that was changed from the game at launch.

50% of my issues with the game are because it's graphics won't go lower. The game is too heavy to run even at minimum graphics with a max of 30 FPS. I use a mod to lower the graphics even further, and the DLC is like playing the normal game without the mod.

I still need to play this properly at some point. Picked up a copy for $10 a few days after launch & after being annoyed the default camera controls felt like I was trying to aim with my thumbs encased in molasses, I haven't really tried it since even though I'm sure I can fix that in Control settings if a patch didn't fix it already.

Had 0 issues my first play through on release for Xbox 1S. Second play through after I had hefty save files crashed and glitched a bunch. But it stopped if I deleted old saves and didn’t have too hefty of a save file.

There's also the fact that we aren't all that far off from a future like this lmao, we are probably going to see a lot of technological development in our lifetimes, and it is the perfect time for media like this to exist! More than just the political landscape of things. The consequences of cybernetic implants, improving technology beyond our capabilities also has a lot of drawbacks for as cool as it actually is! Especially since there are companies dedicated to the singularity without knowing what it would cause, or if it'll go bad. With all of this being said though, it adds an element to relatability, the characters feel real!(The ones with in depth writing, particularly. Mirror actual people you would find in our world)

Despite the flaws this is an incredible game. The story as well as the graphics/path-tracing (incredible on an high end pc) are very good and the gameplay can be tons of fun. I would put it in my top 5 when it comes to video games. I don‘t know what it is about this game, but the visuals and story/genre elements just tickle my brain.

Texture issues are largely a last gen thing. I did come across 1 or 2 in the 40 hrs I spent with it on PS5 but playing the PS4 version (on a PS5) was a completely different story!

I didn’t like cyberpunk when it first came out on my Xbox one X. Just purchased ultimate edition on sale for PS5 and I can’t stop playing. It’s so well made. Combat is so fun and the storylines are amazing. And just like Witcher, even the side quests have great characters and storylines.

Had it from launch and never had issues. Only minor glitches rarely for the first few weeks. I believe it was badly balanced and thus was just too much for consoles and required a high end pc to run at that stage. Downgraded my pc after that and can run it perfectly fine now while still looking absolutely glorious with 1070 ti so they've definitely done some amazing work with the updates. Runs even better than on my ps5 though it obviously lacks ray tracing on 1070ti. Edit: I have over 500hrs on PC and 200 on PS5

The biggest glitch I ever encountered on this game was a game breaking mission during the taxi mission where you have to get all the taxis under control and one of them flipped over and blew up so I had to go back to a previous save lol

I bought the most expensive edition on the Xbox store for my Xbox One, but it won't let me download Phantom liberty. I guess it's not optimized for the last gen consoles. It's really infuriating, because despite how I initially thought it'd be, it's a great game. I even got into the lore of it pretty heavily. It just annoys me that it didn't tell me that the DLC wouldn't work with my console when I paid like $80 for the bundle.

Firstly, I never said bad system, I said last gen. Secondly, if you play it on an Xbox One, or any last gen machine now, you'd be missing out on Phantom Liberty, the police system, better NPC AI, the redesigned perk tree system, the metro system, new side quests, new vehicles, new weapons etc etc.

The bugs in this video were recorded while playing the PS4 version via backwards compatibility on a PS5. I did experience issues (to a much lesser degree) with the native PS5 version too.

Frame rate isn't really the issue. It's scripting issues, clipping issues, floating object issues etc. Not game breaking but far from optimised

That's the biggest shame, the fact that it's mostly finished. "Mostly" being the key word here. It's so damn close to the finish line, but CDPR abandoned it right at the end. This o isn't an issue on PC because of mods. You can put the finishing touches on it yourself and then some, but for us console players it will forever be an unfinished product.

@@Snakecggg This isn't an opinion, my guy, it's fact. The game is unfinished. It's playable, it's enjoyable to a certain degree, it works, but it's not finished. On console, even on current gen hardware, the game still has a load of issues. It has some of the worst camera control settings i've seen (especially for a game in first-person), no fov slider, the sprint button is extremely inconsistent, the movement is clunky, the AI is kinda dumb, you still kinda pass through NPCs with a bit of a camera tilt, 5 out of 10 times my car will drop out of the sky when i call it, and these are all just off the top of my head. So no, it's not a crazy take. Maybe your bar is just set too low for what you consider a finished product.
