That's not quite an accurate depiction of his money. Yes, his cap hit is pretty reasonable. However, Dak got $75M guaranteed last year, this year he gets another $20M guaranteed. They did those fuzzy math things they do to sneak people under the cap while also paying them obscene amounts of money.

Even if the percentages are accurate - Dak makes too much money to not play amazing football for longer durations. He actually never plays amazing. He makes good throws sometimes. The majority of the QB’s in this list are currently or have very recently played exceptional football for stretches. Dak is .500 since he signed his contract.

I feel like the message up until this past game was.. disrupt the passing game and we'll be ok with the yards gained running as long as they're not scoring touchdowns! They limited most QBS and receivers.. but that aggressive style opened the other TEAMS up to just run the ball and keep running it! That's one reason Parsons was playing LB most of the game last week. It's gonna take the entire TEAM to STOP focusing on individual stats and focus on winning football instead!!! Looking forward to seeing it play out :)

The message seems to work if the offense is stable the entire game - which they weren’t in GB. Also works if the defense can create a turnover despite giving up yards on the ground - which they did, but Dak gave it back. Defense needs the offense to sustain drives longer and not fall apart for an entire quarter.

I think it’s important to remember that Dak signed that contract 21/2 years ago versus most of those QB’s listed were recent signings. The point being that at the time, only Mahommes was out earning him and the cap hit wasn’t as big.

I’ve defended Dak for YEARS and even tho I agree with Dave and Joy that there are a lot of QB’s who have produced even less than him but don’t get the same level of scrutiny, I have finally come to the conclusion that Dak himself is not good enough to overcome the obstacles necessary to win a SB bc he’s just too inconsistent. At his Apex he can but his Apex never coincides with the games he NEEDS to win so I have to say no he isn’t good enough.

Joy, Helman and Acho are such a great trio. Shady is getting better too, but those three are my favorite personalities in this space. Joy has been a hidden gem on the herd for such a long time its so nice to see her have her own show, now i can stop watching Colin. Helman has been helping me understand football and the Cowboys for as long as I can remember through his articles and coverage over the years. Acho is a character. I didn't like him at first but once seeing more of his personality and debating skills, he's great. I'd like to see more takes from Shady with depth. Incredible running back though. This was a good segment and I agree with a lot of what they all are saying. Dak is my QB and the frustrating part is he has flashes of greatness and you can see his talent but it seems like he just doesn’t win those nail biter games that are so important to turning around the season and the morale. He will have a game like the NE game last year and you’re like Yea that’s what I’m talking about but I feel like there is always so much suspense and drama and more often than not lately he lets us down This guy had been through a lot with the ankle and the thumb and shoulder last year so I sympathize with him but his window is closing. I hope he can win a Super Bowl but I do not feel great about that right now and he needs to be more consistently great not just good. He just doesn’t have that many plays that wow me or shock me if any. Romo used to do some of the most ridiculous escapes and throws to keep the game alive. He also never won a Super Bowl and was bad in the playoffs so the team as a whole hasn’t evolved at all. I will support him and hope he gets the mojo back and it just clicks and he goes off 🤞🏻
