I know people in their 90’s who do not have dementia!

Very interesting lecture. My own thoughts are that alcohol plays a significant role in mental decline but this was barely mentioned and even joked about.

Most people would rather have their meat, oils, salt and fructose all swigged down with alcohol and joke about it. That could be ignorance but some of it is likely to be cognitive dissonance.

Very important information, well presented. Dementia is not the disease, Alz is only one type of many, and impacts can be selective, not global.

I've been watching some fascinating lectures on this topic by Peter Rogers MD who has studied thousands of brain scans of patients with dementia in the course of his work. Chronic hypoxia is proposed as a leading cause.

You do know that humans cannot digest most raw vegetables. Fruit and nuts yes. Also raw meat and fish. The protein of which are arguably part of what led to the development of our large brains in the 1st place. Personalky I do eat a little meat and dairy but actually prefer vegetables and love many raw root veg but am careful not to rely on them for nutrition.
