Guys we are definitely going to bump into each other one day, we have recently filmed this castle and walls and Alf wouldn't let me have the keys to the walls and i see Wills held on to them too ! Must be a man thing 🤭 Views up at the top of the castle are amazing and that history of the church is fantastic. Did not know about the old prison so that was interesting to see and Denbigh is soooo hilly. Wonder why Denbigh is classed as the best market town in Wales ? Hehe . Thanks for the lovely tour ~ Anna 👍🏴🏴🏴

Enjoyed the tour of Denbigh, Rachel and Wills. Interesting early church with just the tower remaining, old gate and we loved seeing the old castle. Stunning views from the ramparts! We would love to walk the walls, but avoid the serial killers. Not nice chaps at all! Market? Arivaca Arizona has less than 50 residents, it's out in the middle of nowhere, the cantinas only open a few days a week, but it has a market three times that size. Open every Saturday too! Sad history everywhere about the treatment of Cognitive Disease. Loved the tour and thanks for bringing us along!
@PostcardAndAPint2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for joining us. It’s a lovely town (a little on the hilly side!!!). The castle and remains of the walls are incredible to see. Yup the market was bad!! Still got a few ingredients for my curry though. It’s a shame the hospital wasn’t funded as it should have been as it really was one of the first of its kind to treat mental illness humanely, sadly it ended up more like a workhouse! Incredible building though!! Urban explorers break in all the time - we’re not that brave!! Cheers and have a great week 🍻

Interesting history here and loved seeing inside the green chamber and the gargoyles, very cool! Oh wow, Edmond falling to his death down that well jeeze, that's crazy! Some of my favourite castles are in that area of North Wales, and Denbigh is now very high up on the list thanks to the both of you :D Would love to be able to get into that asylum too. Excellent tour of Denbigh. Wills a vinyl man! Very cool selection. The castle and especially the walls are awesome. Who litters in a castle? Makes this yank mad. A fist full of peppers and two heads of garlic for a quid seems reasonable. How was the curry? Me loves curry🤤. The narration and review of Denbigh are top notch. I agree that hills are not a plus. If the pub were uphill, I might be encouraged to make the trek but not without my legs complaining. Is that an original P&P joke? I'll be borrowing it🤣 Loved it! Have a great day guys😍💞🐲🌞

It was fascinating to learn about Peter Moore's history as a serial killer - and how Wills and family had some experience with him. Lovely asylum too. Very interesting information about the history of Denbigh and it's castle. I would like to pay the extra for the key and explore around those awesome castle (lol) walls and ruins. One thing about walking around a hilly town, you work up a good thirst! Too bad the postcard museum was nothin' to write home about.👍lol 👍
@PostcardAndAPint2 жыл бұрын
Cheers for watching. Yup it’s very hilly there, but the views from the castle are so worth it. The town walls were a revelation, we had no idea you could to that until the day. Thanks so much for leaving us this lovely comment, have a great week 🍻

Great video, great Town (Although I might be biased ;) ) and even though I live here, I didn't know we had more listed buildings than any other town in Wales - so, Great information too!

Hey Rachel and Wills, food looks good at the start 😊 the chapel and castle look impressive with some great views. It looks a pretty big site. Wow those views really are incredible at the very top. Lots of hills there 😅 Shame about the market really.

Yes, don’t go to Denbigh for the market! The castles and walls however are amazing! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend. 🍻

I live in denbigh and its really nice. Uptowns the shop like area and downtown (where I live) is more a house area

We really enjoyed our visit. Once thing though, you guys must all be fit as fleas with that hill up to the shop area - then further hill up to the castle! Cheers for watching 🍻

@@PostcardAndAPint firstly no prob for watching. Secondly its still exhausting to walk up the hills and stuff like that. Especially walking from downtown to uptown its torture

Denbigh is a quaint village. Love the castle. You have to get a key to walk the town walls. That is so funny. Too bad so many shops are empty. I know nut house isn't very nice, but think it's typical. We have a place where I grew up, Terrell, we call it that too.

Thanks so much for watching. It is a lovely place, a few too many hills for us. We loved the castle and walls though. Thanks so much for watching 🍻

Just enjoyed this on the big screen with a cheeky beverage! What a lovely place Denbigh is, we have never been! We like the hills and steps so thats an extra plus point from us! Lovely bit of Shakin Stevens and Elvis, cant go wrong with either although I can understand Rachels concerns if you already own them! The Castle was a real big beauty and what a great admission price! Surprisingly you practically had the place to to yourselves, at that price it should be chokka! Loved the story of the cinema and the charitable serial killer, funnily enough we live 59 doors down from Jimmy Saville and he always seemed like a friendly, very charitable chap. You just can never tell! Love that you find the Christmas in every place thats a real skill! A very fitting joke to end on Wills! 😂 🍻

Denbigh would be right up you two nutters streets - if you like hills, then this is the place for you. We couldn’t believe how quiet the castle was as it was just about the end of the summer holidays and there was no one about! The walls were such a fun explore too. Cheers for watching. Have a brilliant week🍻

Denbigh does look like a lovely town, I think it's great how towns in the UK have so many flower displays, the pubs all seem to have hanging baskets of flowers. It just lifts the whole environment around the street. Shame about the market, but at least it's undercover!
@PostcardAndAPint2 жыл бұрын
Yes, many U.K. towns really pride themselves on their flowers. Denbigh is one of them. Yes, don’t go there solely for the market! The castle and walls are lovely though. Cheers for watching 🍻

YES Wills I loved Shakin Stevens when I was younger…I too would have snapped them up for a quid each too! Great vinyl purchases there for sure, just missing a Mario Lanza Christmas one 🤭 😂 Loved your tour of the castle and all the history that came with it Rach, tragic storey about that fella falling down the well 😳 sure I saw orbs on that footage when you went on the ghost hunt Rach or was it bugs?? 😱 Denbigh looks so oldy worldly looks lovely shame so many shops closed! Wow a charitable serial killer so close to your family and knowing them personally scary stuff, wonder how many bodies are under all those cinemas he owned! Keys to the castle walls is a great idea for the sake of a fiver I’d be tempted to keep them and visit anytime lol! Ooorrr that poor market, so sad 😞 enjoyed this! It’s official Will’s is a Christmas magnet 😂 Superb guys! Have a great week 💃😘❤️🫶

A really fun and interesting presentation, as usual. I did not realise there was access to the walls but my only visit was on a wet murky February day so not the best for exploring. I did like the area around Stanley`s Statue though and after seeing this movie I might be tempted to have another look on a better day. Obviously the Postcard Museum will be given a miss following Will`s heads up. I have got a bit behind with my viewing. I will have to see your Mold film. We stayed in a hotel on the edge of town once with a group of members of the charity I used to work for. My only real memory of Mold was a pornographic carrot that was on sale at a small shop over the road from the hotel. I warned the elderly ladies of the possible assault on their sensibilities and advised that they steer clear. There followed a steady stream of the aforementioned ladies heading to buy newspapers from the same shop. There is perhaps more to Mold than you previously realised. Anyway excellent film. Please have a wonderful week.

Pornographic carrots are the best!! Love that story. Yes give Denbigh another go, but I’d steer well clear of it in the cold and rain!! Probably steer clear of Mold in the cold and rain too to be honest!! Cheers for watching, we’re glad you enjoyed it 🍻
