I live in Denmark, in the middle of Jutland. We know we are very well off over here and we want the rest of the world to do just as well. The reason why we are "happy" is because we are free of worry, for the most part. That's what the social structure is about. The strong lift the weak, and togeather we shall rise!!

My impression from here in Norway of the Danes, is that their life expectancy is traded for life-joy. They seem jolly, enjoying beers and sigarettes more than f.ex us up here. I don't know whether Denmark is THE best country to live in, but, and I'm not saying this due to any hate, it is a lot better then the US. The US is such a beautiful land, and I do envy so many of it's environments. But as a country, it sucks. Really. An American land, with a Danish government (or any European government for that matter) would be a true paradise to live in, in my opinion.
@traver1965
@traver1965 Жыл бұрын
Denmark is the best in the world and the worst in the world :) It depends on you values. For instance the 30% richest in the USA has a ball of a time. They can afford medical insurrance, hospitals etc. And maybe a mexican cleaning lady. the rest. The 70% works to please the 30%. You see this all over the world. In afrika it is not unsual to have a gartner, a housegirl and a cook whom are paid next to nothing. In Denmark no one can afford a housegirl or a cook because their wages are high. In reality it comes down to how you want your society or country handled and how you treat people in your country. In Europe we have chosen not to have modern time slavery. In the USA not so much. In the US slavery based on poperty is well established and it is not even based on color anymore. Look at the southern states, the red states. To be honest they are not doing very well. In my view the race question is about turning peoples attention away from the real problems

@danieldaugaard403
@danieldaugaard403 Жыл бұрын
@@jensjensen8630 selvfølgelig siger jeg ikke Danmark er perfekt. Men men men.

For a sandbank, we ain't done bad. Considering we don't have thousands of CEOs making multi-million Dollar incomes, to pump up the appearance of the "average wage" stat, I'm kinda chuffed. Average -Joe- errr Jørgen is more likely to be able to provide for his on the single job, doesn't have to save for the kids to go to college and can get a stipend if he wants/needs to retrain. Means most have the opportunity to do what they enjoy or excel at, not just what they can't afford to quit..

I am from Denmark. And I just want to let the world know. Apart from what you have heard here, EDUCATION IS FREE, as many as you like to take. And you even get paid by the government to do it. And it is a paradise for children to grow up worryfree. Healthcare is totally free when the accident happens. Everything is right for the taking, you just have to reach out! - I'd proudly say, I have not visited all exordinary countries myself. But, Denmark is overall definitely top 3. Because of the idea of all-for-one. With our heavy 38% tax. Because of the system we have, only people who really want to live the nomad life and be homeless are with few exceptions. And the reason we score high on medicine and happy pills. Is because we simply have other problems than money and fame. The only problem is that the people are consumers in the high end of the scale and always wants more.

Denmark will always be here to help. Even with stuff that doesn't fly so well in some ways, but everything is a learning curve and you never stop to evolve. Sometimes in the wrong direction, then you back out a little and take the approach you just learned from. The best part about this place is that we ultimately just are one big village and we don't hope or pray, we do.. all the emotional things are for when things are happening and is sustainable..

A Dane should not really comment on whether Denmark is the best country in the world, but what makes a country "good" comes down to personal preferences. For me, it means something that we have relatively solid social structures and limited crime, a good school system for everyone and equal right to medical care. Trust in my compatriots also means a lot. Whether that is enough to constitute the world's best country is for others to decide, but the majority of Danes have roughly the same approach to a well-developed society as the one I have described, and we have enough countries to compare with where Denmark's strengths become as conspicuous as other countries' weaknesses .

I disagree. It are because we have statistics on just about everything and we bitch when something are not optimal that we actually have created a society with less to bitch about. So please bitch away if you have something constructive to bitch about and remember to come up with solution oriented suggestions to solve the issue you bitch about. Bitching without a better suggestion on how to solve an issue are just bitching. So open your mouth and knock yourself out. There are higher to the ceiling than you might think. And if you wanna be a pro "bithcher" and solution provider, read politician, it are fairly easy to start a political party and if you get any votes we all will chip in a little money to support your party, no matter if we voted for you or not.

France as the best health care in Europe? Lol. Live outside Paris and encounter a decease. See you in som months. Denmark, Sweden, Norway and "yes you guessed it" Finland is so much stronger than France. That being said, we all love travelling there.❤

The indexes mentioned in this video are NOT made by Danes. Everyone has their own preferences, but you cannot use them to rank countries against each other. Objective criteria are the only ones that can be used, but some criteria can be difficult to quantify. Eg. is a corruption index a population survey that asks people if they experience corruption. In the nature of the matter, an index cannot be created based on exact data, as corruption is difficult to measure.

The Øresundsbroen aint that long, you can see the coast line of Sweden from Denmark. In Denmark, there is corruption, but it's called "hygge-korruption". Life expectancy in Denmark is low, because a lot of danes live the "good" life, they eat, drink and smoke like they want to. Life expectancy is based on lifestyle by choice. Most crime in Denmark, isn't committed by danes, but by immigrants, mostly from the Middle East, and east europeans. And NO, danes don't walk around smiling, they are a people, that like to keep to themeselves, they live by "Janteloven" (The Law of Jante). They live by "don't think that you are better than others, just because you have had more succes in life than others", people don't run around bragging or showing there succes public. And let's be real, succes doesn't make you a better person than a homeless person.

11:52 the life expectancy suffers as we still have a lot of smokers and obesity is kind of a problem as well. Or that's my best guess, that it's the main reasons.

I'm guessing our love of food and long lunch and dinners plays some role in the life expectancy. Saying that, I was much fitter when living there, purely because of the amount of biking.

Denmark is not the best country in the world. It is the best country for the Danes. If it was the best then every other country in the world would memic us. It is supposedly the happiest, but best? Then I would ask, why are so many complaining. I guess that is exactly why it makes us the best, because we are free to complain. We are free. All depending on how you define freedom.

There are record low unemployment so hopefully that are no longer the case. As you know you loose the right to unemployment benefits if the state or municipality can point to a job, public or private, you can perform. If you can more than survive for 2000 a month your living, home and food-standard requirements must be very low. Get a job, it will improve your life.
