No-one has been liking , like only 6 TOTW players... No Prime times... FFS Kucherov got 900 career points and no special card, Hagel had a 5 assist night... No card... Crosby 600 goals no card... I don't wish people to get fired...but this content team has underdelivered so much this year.. So why does EA continue to let them continue to fail... Hi Sleeves, thank you for the amazing content. I have watched all of your videos and can not agree more with you regarding the XP path. EA says play as you want, but when it comes to the XP path it is one way only. Why can not they have a spider down type of path where the player can choose certain rewards at different levels? For instance you hit a certain level and at that point the player gets to choose the next path for the next 5 levels and then the process repeats itself. Giving a base Eichel at the end with no other choice seems very un-rewarding for those that don't like the specific player.

Hey sleeves, I want to get your thoughts on reverse hitting? I feel like everytime I go to hit someone I get reverse hit even if their player is very small. As difficult as it is to poke check in this game, the alternative is to hit them and they just reverse hit every single time, and there’s no way to counter it. Also, a lot of the time I feel like the line changes are absolutely broken in this game, my players are tired and I manually change the line, and I have 3 separate players from 3 separate lines on the ice, it’s frustrating cause then all 4 lines become unusable.

I know the competitive players don't use them, but as a casual hour-a-day player I like how they integrated the Women's IIHF into HUT; the Hiirikoski and Spooner cards were beasts last year! I'm looking forward to the addition of the PWHL to the game on Dec 5 and wondered if you had any insight on how they'll do that or advice on how to prepare if I want to pick up some PWHL players for my team. Should I build up my coin bank or save cards for sets? Hey Sleeves. Embarrassingly I have over 100 hrs on this game and fell like 5 xp tiers shy of getting Eichel. I completed all the weekly objectives. Optimistic about an improvement on season 2s layout. Also somehow I lost next gen items while completing the set to make Hutson. I reached out to ea and was told it's a known issue and they are working on it. Maybe I'll get something extra for my troubles. Side note. You often wear different hats or shirts from teams around the league. What will it take to get you in some habs gear? 😂

Yeah they went overboard with endurance usage, top end players should not be gassed after one or two rushes, and a lot of the cards they release have an 80 endurance which makes them virtually useless as they only last one rush. And when a player is gassed, sure they should suffer negatives but they shouldn't move like they are in comedic slow motion. I like the endurance factor, it makes you use your lines, but it's way too extreme in the current game.

Bounjour - I thought about a way to make less desirable players/MSPs more viable. The best way is to adjust endurance for those players to even out the playing field. Since endurance is a pain point, add endurance attributes those to players like Draisaitl and Tkachuk who never get good “HUT/META” cards. Leveling the playing field with endurance will make some MSPs more online viable. Also, when the PWHL cards come, would make the female cards more viable too. Also, for those who don’t join the daily recap stream, you are missing out. Only thing I look forward to during work hours. Us dads need some entertainment. Keep up the good work buddy.

It's so great to see your mature mentality when it comes to the game we all love. I'm 51 years old, Div 3, 50/50 champs player. I'm all for the fun games. Sweaty is fun. Winning is fun, but not the end all be all if the game is fun and your opponent doesn't play like a dbag. Keep it up. Bonjour Sleeves from Calgary! I’ve been a longtime HUT player but hadn’t played since NHL 22. The vids, especially the strategies video was a big help to knock off the rust. Just wanted to shout out your tip to change things up when you’re snake bitten and going through a big losing streak. I started off champs last week 2-7. I couldn’t score for the life of me and game breaker Hellebuyck was playing like swiss cheese. After swapping in my my backup goalie and changing my camera view from Zone to Overhead I went on an 8-2 run including winning my final 5 games to finish 10-9, clinching 10 wins for this first time in champs this year! Anyways keep up the vids, been watching them every day since buying the game.

Hey Sleeves, Now the 86 Fox is out, and the X-factor captain can be upgraded to 86. Would you do the upgrade if, like me, you plan on making sersie 1 McDavid? I'm 12 base X-factors away for McDavid and Fox currently is my second righty defenseman behind CA Makar. I'm struggling with the fact that I don't get 100% of the resources it costs to upgrade Fox back when downgrading him to use in the McDavid set. I'm planing on taking Fox BND because with seeing eye, he's absolute fire.

Hey sleeves, I haven’t missed a video this season!Because of that, I have a lot of built-up questions and suggestions that I’d like to hear your opinion on. First off you always talk about how the second XP season better be a banger. If it is the absolute banger that you talk about what is that to mean for the third season will the third season just poop the bed no matter what or will they have to meet up to the standards of the second season? Also, one suggestion I have when you’ve been talking about the icon holograms I feel like it would have been a good idea to make them work like the ex factors have only choose eight per season and have four captains and a chase card like Gretzky instead of having every hologram like Gretzky, Lemieux, and how All available right away it kinda defeats the chase no? Hey Sleeves, I’ve got a lineup question for you. I was able to make both msp’s for Chara and Jbo for free but they are only upgraded to 83. My top two left handed defensman are the fantasy Sanhiem and next gen Hutson who isn’t coming off my team because I am a Habs fan. Should I use my coins to upgrade one of them or leave my 84 ghule in that slot while I wait for my fantasy Matheson to score a few? Thanks man have a good one!

Hey sleeves this is my first ever year playing this game and I jumped straight into HUT as I feel that is really the only game mode I'll really play. I find some of the shooting mechanics very difficult and would like to Barzal as I already grinded my way into getting Celebrini, all I need is one more MPS. I find the HUT moments virtually impossible for me any tips on how I can improve my game in making sure I don't miss out on these good cards or what would you recommend for someone just starting? Hey Sleeves, appreciate the content and the game advice. I have left handed shots at RD and right handed shots at LD for D2D 1Ts but in the offensive zone they keep moving back to their actual positions. For example I have Makar at RD and Q. Hughes at LD but when setting up my offense they are switched and I have to manually skate one over to get them to trade spots. Is there anything in the team strategies or settings that I can do to stop this? Thanks in advance.

Since I kinda went all out, I was wondering if I should also just go ahead and build Askarov. I watched his last 2 games. Hope in 2 h we get the XP tree we deserve, where you can actually by playing games you can get MSP etc. Make moments and other things for extra MSP for the grinders . No more bronze players 75+ only, gold arenas coaches. XP final player should be pick one from RW C LW RD LD or G 90 ovr

I've found that when I climb to 1800-1850 sr you can't just play the game you have to do the circle circle 1t and the game is more fun at 1700-1750 sr

Hey Sleeves, What I don't understand about your endurance argument (wanting to use your best players more), is everyone is using their top 6 by far the most anyways. Go into stats at the end of the game and you'll see your best forwards have about 25 minutes played or more with powerplays, and the bottom 6 have about 15 minutes combined. I still have many games where my 4th line barely even touches the ice without worrying about my top 9 being too drained. Personally, I would much rather have the current situation of sometimes being forced to roll 4 lines than play how it used to in past games where line 1 and 2 basically played 50 minutes because you were rarely in a situation that you were low on stamina. For me it would be lame to basically play an Ultimate Team mode where half of your roster would be rendered pointless because endurance is so high.

Hey sleeves. Div 2 player that lurks in your stream on the daily. I was in papa's stream a few days ago , and chat had some polarizing views on D2D's. After talking for a bit about solutions. We fell upon a idea that might be a easy dev fix. Could it work if division 1/2 players didn't get the prompt for 1T's. And also locked off in Champs . It wouldn't be perfect. but I tested it, and it makes it substantially harder to hit it. that might lower the percentage of successful 1t's on the higher level. I don’t think endurance is as big of a problem as some people make it out to be. Line changes are so scuffed that it FEELS like endurance is the problem. I’ve noticed that if you’re in the middle of a line change, and miss a pass for icing, the players that were out just stay out. For example, if you have line 1 out and the centre for line 2 changes before the icing, but the line 1 wingers are still out, the line 1 wingers will act as line 2 wingers. You have to change to line 3 to get the fresh players out because the game *thinks* line 2 is out, and will show that when you press the line change button. Hope this makes sense sorry for the long comment and thanks for the work you put into keeping this dog you know what game as relevant as you can

Bonjour Sleeves, on the final day of season 1, my question is what rating out of 10 would you give the season as a whole? I personally would say like 5.5. Fantasy event was a massive W and I liked a lot of the supernatural and OTC MSPs. I liked early in the season when they would have surprises, like all the TB moments to get a bunch of 77s and a couple 83 TBs. Recently the content has been sooo forumulaic, I keep logging on hoping for a welcome surprise and it never comes. XP path was dog shit to put it nicely. Like you always say, the content delivery model is there to have a great year, but the content team needs to step it up big time for season 2

Hey Sleeves, love the content and watch every video. Taking your advice has helped me make a solid team as NMS. Eichel, Hologram Sundin, McDaddy MacKinnon, Forsberg, Niederreiter Totw Ovi, Crosby, Kane Selanne, Barkov, Matthews Severson, Bowmeister Makar, Chara Drysdale, Heiskanen That’s great and all but can you do more videos about playing tips because I suck! EA says my record is 340-39-16 but that’s a load of crap. I can’t tell you how many one goal games I’ve lost and I’ve lost way more in OT than 16. I get up a goal or two and then the comeback is inevitable. Maybe I’m get too old for the game. I’m fine floating between div 3 and 4 because I know my quick twitch is going away but I don’t want to lose to crazy glitches and weird offsides and an algorithm that changes difficulty for whatever reason. I’m worried about tomorrow because it’s not the content that frustrates me, it’s the game itself. Unless there is a mode that pans out to be more fun for an old guy like me, it might be time to deprioritize hockey, no matter how much I love it. Sorry for the diatribe. Again, love the content.

Hey sleeves, so I finally did it. I got super charged mcdavid free to play. However not really doing fantasy is making me regret it a bit. Also making barzal is making me kinda regret getting mcdavid as barzal feels faster which is crazy. I burned everything I had into Mcdavid and now I’m sitting here going what do I do now and why does barzal feel better. Mcdavid is good but the cost has me questioning what the hell I did and why I didn’t listen and go hard on fantasy. Anyway what would you go for now? Hey sleeves, why have they not put in something for theme teams yet? For example In MUT if I make an all Patriots team I would get a bunch of attributes boosts. Even players that have played for the Pats but get a card for a different team you can change the team chemistry to fit the theme team. Another example would be diamond dynasty in MLB. You get a pitcher and fielder captain that boosts all players from that team. With the new season I’ve been playing lots of the show and been having a blast playing with my all Blue Jays team and being competitive in online with it. You just can’t do that in Hut online with theme teams

Yeah back in the day NHL11-14 Every card had “slots” Younger players having more slots, you could buy/pull stats cards that boosted the stats and then you had to buy career cards to keep them at the booster overalls for a certain amount of games (80 was the highest card for games) Like for example the OGs will all remember Spitfires Taylor Hall with 12 slots that could be a 99 day one The mix of teams is endless in this format and that was before weekly drops of event cards, and yes Ovi and Crosby were very pricey especially compared to everything else Legends came in NHL12 which was unreal This old style of HUT also had a team salary cap tho (I think they scrapped it in nhl13 or 14 tho) so you had to get creative using juniors and NHLers to stay under the cap and use a juiced up roster The old days were insane…plus the gameplay was so great, the better player won Anyways figured id add this comment, been playing HUT since day 1 in NHL11

I love the one timers, in old games it literally never went in. And it's very defendable, most people are used to playing collapsing and defending the net and wonder why they're getting killed by one timers. And if you defend the point, that should open up offense in front of the net. I understand the argument that player switching in this game is absolute ass, so fix that. And I understand some people love defensive hockey and want 2-1 or 1-0 games, but I prefer offensive hockey and I'm pretty sure that's true for the majority of players especially in a video game version of the sport, keep the low scoring shit in soccer. EA can't even put out content, let them focus on the truly broken stuff like player switching and passing and goalies and defensive players becoming special needs when the puck gets near them around the net.
