Is Entegra Cornerstone a REAL Luxury RV?

I was asked by my friend Doug Sewell with Sewell MotorCoach to inspect an 2019 Entegra Cornerstone he was interested in purchasing from National Indooor RV Center just a few hours away from my shop in Surprise, AZ. I don't think we have inspected an Entegra together, so I put a video together. Hopefully, we all learn a little something together about the build of the brand.
Entegra's are a Thor RV luxury brand with quite a colorful history. When Travel Supreme was devastated in the 2008 downturn, Jayco RV purchased their tooling and rights. Jayco had tried and failed to build luxury diesel RV's earlier, kept the Travel Supreme legacy alive by changing little other than the names. When Thor purchased Jayco, they inherited a sought after brand, and surprisingly, did not alter the RV production much.
While I have been around these brands quite a bit, they are a more rare item than the large volume production RV so I guess we all will learn something together.

The number of roof holes are concerning, as well as the non-seamless fiberglass. The battery access is horrendous, but the inside of the coach is truly outstanding, with excellent design and features. Thanks James!!

James get a silicone top step cover for your ladder they are cheap and dont slide around those towels are unsafe. Also along with waxing the roof I use the 303 fabric treatment on my acrylic awnings and they are 14 years old and still in good shape, those have suffered from UV not being protected at all...and when Thor took over, quality dropped as well I wont buy a Thor product again good review

Thanks James I found it very interesting especially the roof and it’s issues. I can’t understand why with all the space available they went for the smallest solar panels. I would have installed the largest possible panels to take full advantage of the power available. It’s a bit of a mess and I’d like to see it repaired prior to it being sold or if not the costs of the repairs reduced from the asking price. With so many class A motorhomes hitting the market as the economy turns south I believe it’s time to be more selective and insist on the repairs that have clearly been shown. It’s an interesting time for buyers especially if you have cash. I have seen this RV on Doug’s page and it seems overpriced given the issues that need to be fixed in my humble opinion. Keep up the good work and I also thank Doug for choosing the best independent inspector in the country 😉⭐️🕊️💫

Long time follower your site has been huge for me , I owned a Minnie Winnie and after watching all yourWinnipago repairs it saved me , I had the roof failed over bath room and caught it , but the damage in the exterior walls was expensive to fix , they said it could have been loads worse, keep up the great site and information cheers

Looked at new Cornerstones last year and I believe they now use "pleather". Cabinets were not aligned and just didn't feel like a true luxury MH. We ended up getting a King Aire and LOVE it.

Like you I was surprised at how many penetrations there were in the roof and the vent cover over the galley. Also, the location of the house batteries is absolutely insane ! The powered engine bay door, to me anyway, is another waste of money and something else to possibly go bad and maybe locking you out of the engine compartment. All in all I'm a little disappointed in some of their design features . I'm sure liking my old '05 Monaco Exec more and more everyday. Instead of looking at newer coaches I'm starting to consider remodeling instead.

I own a 2006 Dynasty I think you could spend 100K remodeling and updating a SOLID Exec, like you have and be better off than some of the newer stuff costing much more. Especially after reading and watching videos of the folks checking out the new coaches at the big shows down south. Most of them are not impressed with what they are seeing and those were prepped to go to a show....

Do you have a good suggestion please for a Class C RV? My sweet sweet husband passed 4 days ago. We were planning on selling our 2+ acres and moving into an RV and travel living in it full time. He's gone. I'm broken, but I need to continue with our plan. I can't handle this property on my own. Please if you can suggest a Class C RV.... to help me narrow down what I'll be looking at. I really want the largest kitchen space I can get. I know it's crazy but I'll have my 6 cats with me. (tunnel placement through window into a zippered tent for their play area. In my opinion, they will always be a step below the rest of the luxury production brands as long as they have carpet in and around the slideouts

I've always been interested in Entegra's class C offerings. Have you ever inspected their roofs? They advertise as fiberglass too, but I wondered if it was more like FRP or similar to a laminated product like Winnebago.

What is the weight capacity of those shower seats? I've seen white round ones (plastic?) in older RV's that don't look as sturdy.

(shakes head) Wha? When did they open the Surprise location? That snuck up on me. I'm in surprise and as soon as I saw those cable plastics I thought "those are probably cooked by now unless it was stored indoors or under a port cover". Plastics of all kinds perish in PHX heat / sun. I've got less than 6 year old outdoor lights that you can crush with your fingers. What's the story on the dual leveling system? I've seen that with a few coaches. Redundancy for redundancies sake or am I missing something obvious? Lastly that 'rose gold' looks more (to my eye - unless the camera is shifting the color massively) like Champagne Gold. That color changes depending on the light hitting it. In white / cool light, it's nearly platinum. When hit with warm or yellow light it goes deep gold.

Looks like a lot of hidden seams and leak potentials underneath all them side caps. You'd have to wait until it starts leaking to take them off and figure out that it's all hidden underneath them side caps

From what i have read from Newmar. They produced the Essex to compete with the Cornerstone. 🤔 Looking at the King Aire at 1.7M and the Cornerstone closer to 1.2M. It’s prices closer to the Essex.
