Is ESO+ Worth It?

I think they should make craft bag free for all and make eso+ enticing in some different way. I can't think of anything else that would make me sub tho. During the pts issue and having my account locked, I started a new account, and it really sucked inventory was really terrible, and I started to wonder how new players stay in the game. With no gold to purchase bag and bank space. Constant looting of trash was awful

I truly believe the best new player experience is to buy the base version of the game on sale then buy 1 month of ESO+ experience as much as you can for that month then decide if you wish to continue, It's what I did and think was the main reason I kept playing.

Hello sir. Great content but you should look at video quality. Even at 1080 I get no focus and can't even read the text in the background. Is anyone else getting that problem?

You should be able to unlock the craft bag through crafting. Such as hitting level 50 in all your crafting skill trees.

I think the crafting bag should have been part of the base game, and the small DLCs should be cheaper. I'd like to see ESO+ have other convenient things like maybe 100% faster research times, free travel, and giving 2-3 points per day for mount training instead of 1.

As a south american, paying for ESO+ is too expensive for me, I only bought the base game but I do daily writs on 20 max lvl characters, have access to every zone and every dlc and I own close to 100% of all the houses in the game including the expensive ones. Time is money, I just do my daily writs every day, takes about an hour and with banker/merchant, crafting addons and the storage chests I have zero issues. I sell millions in mats every week and and that way i can afford dlcs, houses and whatever I want from the crown store.

When I first started playing, I played for several months without subscribing to eso+ because YES, there is a TON of content in the base game itself. I was realistic to myself as well in thinking "I am new, why am I going to subscribe right away for all this content if I can't possibly do all this content right away and the majority of time im going to be in the starter zones etc. So I did all the Alliance story lines and Craglorn and every time the free eso+ week/weekend popped I would pick a dlc zone and stay until eso+ ran out lol. I would take all my mats and dump them into my craft bag, I would take advantage of that dbl bank space and fill it to the brim as well. I completed wrothgar this way, thieves guild as well as Dark Brotherhood. It was only after when I had reached a certain cp and began exploring end game and master crafter content, writs on multiple toons etc. that i got the eso+. This is all to say there is one single important factor in all of this. TIME. if you have more time you can spend some of it sorting in between dungeons and delves etc. If you dont have time, get eso+

Thank you for mentioning the Free to Play Plus weekends, which most of the time lasts a week ( Zos.. go figure). This is how I have items in my 2nd account's craft bag. I did once buy Plus for that account, because I wanted to get Bastion and Merri and having Plus was the only way to do it. Eventually I'll do the same for Ember and Isobol. That account owns Necrom, so it has Zander and Sharp. For the past 2 months I haven't had Plus on my main account, budgets tight right now.. and I had a choice.. ESO Plus or Kindle Unlimited sub.. I can play without Plus.. So my Kindle Unlimited won out .. but to be fair, I have a list of books that have come out since January that I wanted to read, all on the KU. More than likely when Gold Road comes out there will be a Free to Play Week ( almost two) to try and get people interested in buying the Chapter. IF they add Plus to that, I will do all my surveys on both accounts Na and EU then.. it's a grind, but then all those matz go into the craftbag and I can do my dailies. ( that's if I don't get a sub before hand.. I may)

Buying the crafting bag is such a massive quality of life improvement that it sounds abusive when you compare the different experiences that a Plus player and a non-Plus player has in-game I realize that it's too much of a draw for subscriptions for ZOS to make the bag free, but how can we buy $25 name change tokens and not a a bag of holding (a crafting bag available for purchase from the crown store)? ESO's saving grace with players is that it presents itself as a boutique experience. It's not "free-to-play" or "free-to-try," both of which are misleading term. ESO also goes on sale at least twice a year and has crown sales twice a year. The game doesn't pretend that it's affordable and that works in its favor, even if it's still predatory. ZOS's business model may infuriate me, but I can appreciate the relative honesty

You start out in ESO, Skyrim and Oblivion with nothing. Eventually, you make enough gold to upgrade and expand inventory. Having said that, ESO+ gives you more than just the unlimited craft bag. You also get Crowns and perks including increased XP gain.

Yes lots of great perks - I’m also a huge advocate of increasing inventory and bank space across the board regardless of eso+ or not

Need the craft bag. I craft every day on 10 characters. I was free for about 2 years and let me tell you without that craft bag I can't imagine being a crafter. The dlc acess is worth it though so you don't have to buy every single one separately which I think is a pretty hefty sum now altogether. Personally though we need extra bank space. Like at least 10 extra upgrades. I run out of space there more often. Also would create a good gold sink for players with too much gold and have no idea what to spend it on.

i have over 4k hours in the game, only ever bought ESO+ 4 times, just for DLC Dungeons i've enjoyed - This game doesn't need you to Subscribe if you know what you're doing

@@Cooperharley0204 yeah, but i see it as a better alternative to paying a month and being forced to play, as i see friends that play WOW because they paid for it not because they enjoy it, and they have already invested so much that they cant stop, thats the worst predatory system ive seen and ESO's system really feels better because its not forcing you, and offers something pretty ok for the reason why you might subscribe and actually contribute to server upkeep On the other hand, i don't have disposable income i can spend on things like subscription, nor time to waste Its never even really crossed my mind to pay for eso+ because of a craft bag or something else Its only ever been for a dlc dungeon or zone dlc You know Things you do once or twice or grind for a while and get sick of it I mostly wait for eso+ free weeks And its a blast with that

I can get by with only subscribing to ESO+ about 3-4 months a year. I only keep it active during holidays when I want to access all the dlc dungeons. Otherwise, I have an extremely full crafting bag and plenty of storage coffers and storage toons.

I have been playing eso since 2018. I have ESO+ because I play enough to justify the $15/month. My wife also occasionally plays with me. She only plays for a couple hours a week, so she does not have ESO+. I handle all of her inventory management. She gives me any of her crafting items at the end of the day, and they go in my craft bag. I also give her anything she needs for crafting. I have a master crafter so I can make most gear she needs. It works for us. Having a questing buddy you trust with your items greatly reduces the need for ESO+. Then, when you’re done with the base game if you still find yourself consistently playing you can invest in it.

I've been playing for half a year without caving in and I think I got passed the point where eso+ is required. All the style materials I got during the jubilee was another make or break moment, but I'm managing. If push comes to shove, I'll give all of them to an active guildmate with a crafting bag and ask them if I need a specific one. I'm sure someone will be down for that.

Played without plus until roughly cp 1200, the 7 days of plus they gave us every now and then allowed me to keep my inventory under control, but ever since February I have been playing with plus and now I feel I can't go back 😅

ESO+ is good for the craft bag, I usually buy the year long and forget about it. Cause ESO is life. lol

5:30 Necrom will not be added to ESO+ until next year. When Gold Road drops High Isle will be added.

Interesting. I always thought/heard it was added automatically when the newest expansion dropped. Is that recent? My friend with eso plus that doesn’t play new expansions until they’re on eso plus was able to play high isle this year

@@Cooperharley0204 it’s always the year prior that gets added. So when Necrom released, Blackwood became available on Plus. It’s been that way since I started in 2020 🤷‍♂️ it’s a thing I see new players ask about a lot.

If you're on Xbox game pass, the game is there to play so you don't even need to make that start investment buying the game. Also, there's the Microsoft rewards that I do on a regular basis which usually gives me enough points to get $10 gift card each month that I use towards the subscription

Sometimes but with good inventory management ESO Minus is survivable as long as you are not a hardcore crafter. Housing is an issue once you go beyond ESO Minus cap and are not satisfied with your work.

Assistants are the only thing in the entire store worth getting. I can't imagine not being able to access my bank or a merchant whenever I want.

Most everything in the store is convenience. You can play through the game without anything being purchased through the store. If you don’t think having a Decon assistant and merchant is worth it so you don’t have to run into town, then no it’s not. I’d also recommend waiting until they’re on sale, especially since you don’t seem to be even on the fence really yet :)

Worth it? Some people think it is worth it to gamble their life savings, their family, their life for the thrill of winning big. $200 a year for a craft bag and crowns to use on inflated items is not cost effective relative to much higher content found in non-mmo games. But Microsoft/Blizzard/Zenimax know the attraction of the lost cost fallacy and know that people will continue to pay for a half dozen full AAA games every year just to have the right to reuse skills in a new system, or color their armor, or rides a sick mount. The fact that this game has brought in 2 billion for completely forgettable content...I mean games lIke Kingdom come deliverance deliver a real visceral experience full of love, this game is a facade of a real game hiding a mobile game mess that is meant to addict and manipulate the lovely people that try to enjoy it. The greed involved has already corroded the game, as it does all MMOS from big studios.
