Thanks for sharing! I am so optimistic and excited for my big move to Berlin in October! I just finished my appointment at the Consulate of Germany in Toronto yesterday and will await to see if my youth mobility visa gets approved! In the meanwhile, I have been applying to many jobs online and hoping for the best when I get there. Also, hoping to check out Mauer Park on a Sunday soon :)

As an American planning on moving to either Germany (or The Netherlands) sometime next year thank you for all your helpful and informative "boots on the ground" videos about moving to Germany. Also, really appreciate your encouraging message about being proactive, not waiting or overthinking to starting the process now with visas and job hunting.

A big, big thumbs up for that video Prater garden at the corner of Kastanienallee, Schönhauser Allee, Eberswalder Straße i love him. I knew every part of the area, every street.👍🍻🍻🍻 That's the area where I grow up. The part changed a lot since them. So a thank you so much for the wonderful vlog, because this year I am not able to travel to Berlin, specially to that part of Berlin with my favourite snack bar Konnopke under the subway for a lovely Currywurst. I appreciate that!👍👍👍

Lach! Schöne Woche nach Berlin Ben

fun fact: since you were in a beergarden (hence the pretzel as well) you enjoyed a southern germany styled potato salad. usually made with warm broth (anything from vegetable, chicken or beef broth). the mayo based potato salad is actually a northern germany theme.
@kilsestoffel36904 жыл бұрын
The name of this beergarden is "Prater Gaststätte". The Prater is a famous amusement park in Vienna, so the potato salad and the brezel are austrian dishes. Brezeln are not typical for Berlin, and I think Berlin potato salad is made with mayo

in denmark we call that style of potato salad, warm potato salad but we mostly do the cold one made with mayo and sour cream :-)

In October, November, December 2020 all restaurants, cinemas and museum in Germany are closed. We can go to the groshery store and shops, but have to wear a mask. We can have "eat to go", but no sit down is allowed. All chrismas markets are canceled. On puplic places, in bus and train have to wear a mask. In small stores only a few people are allowed. Some citys have even stricter lockdown. Some european contries are stricter. Many ski areas remain closed. It is not certain that carnival take place in 2021. Now the Corona numbers slowly go down. Make sure that you get current information before traveling. All hope is in 2021.

In a few weeks the corona numbers will explode again in germany :-) after the summer holidays we went from 0-4 cases a day to close to 200 a day here in denmark. We have zero on ventilator and only 3-4 in intensive care do to corona so evrything is okay if you ask me :-)

@@V100-e5q yes, I actually do my own thinking and research. There's actually no proof that the masks are effective. Countries like Sweden and the Netherlands haven't used them and they have been able to contain it. The best thing is to wash your hands, eat a healthy diet that will boost your immune system and stop consuming so much of the media.
@achimgeist51854 жыл бұрын
Only level FFP2/FFP3 or higher masks protect against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, all other masks with a lower protection class have practically no effect. In germany I think 70-80 % of the masks the normal people using are not FFP2/FFP3 protection class. I guess in the most other country it's the same!

I can agree with the COVID situation. I hope the numbers don't go up due to all the stupid mass gatherings. If only they would follow the simple rules when they do it, it wouldn't be much of an issue. I still enjoy my freedom. Wearing a mask in some situations and keeping distance is so easy to do. I am happy that I can use my free time to support the businesses that were harmed by Covid-19.

Maybe you shouldnt apologize so much. It feels like half of the video is like "i hope you like it" or "i wanted to do this and did that instead". The amount of content in this video is way too small for 15mins.

Seeing almost nobody wearing a mask is pretty worrying. Even though it is safer outside, you still have to social distance and wear PPE if that is not possible.
