First half of my ride from Erbil to Slemani. As soon as I leave Erbil, I stop at a shop for baklavas for breakfast, and the owners of the shop invite me to share their own breakfast before offering me several free delicious baklavas. Then, the day continues with Kurdish hospitality, as a general of the Peshmergas pay for my lunch before some journalists give me food for dinner.

This video is so blessed, makes me proud to be Kurdish. The video starts with you saying you didn't have breakfast and then you get invited to a meal and treated to baklava and they expect nothing in return, hopefully our great hospitality makes up for the terrible driving some of us do haha

Just found your channel and i'm hooked. Its incredible to see such raw documentation as a westerner of the middle east. The people are truly amazing and so hospitable. Its a shame the middle east is often painted in such a bad light by western media. Im sure if more knew of how incredible the culture and people are, many would have very different opinions. Thanks for such incredible content!

@@KinoYves Kirkuk, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Dohuk are Iraqi governorates, my friend. Some Kurds deny their origin as Iraqis because they became at the time the region of northern Iraq (Kurdistan). This region includes three governorates of Iraq: Erbil, Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk. The city of Kirkuk is inhabited by Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, Sabians, Christ and all sects, religions and nationalities.
