Totally agree on the rival system, it could probably just be the "Top 3" being labeled on the track would go a long way. Maybe with a Gold, Silver, Bronze trophy icon above them. I like the idea of a "hardcore mode" for lives, kind of like how Crash 4 did it. I like that there's no lives in Aero GPX, I still feel that combat is incentivized by restoring health and boost, but I can understand the lives give combat a different edge. I also barely get sliding. I'm ALMOST there, I can activate it, but can't QUITE get it to work.

Maybe it's just because I have played more and am better at GX, but Aero GPX feels more like GX than X to me. I'll have to go back to X at some point. I beat all the Grand Prix's on Master, but I still couldn't come close to any of the staff ghosts.

I mean GX is still the GOAT but it's still a fun thing to try out if you wanna play something new
