I asked this question in the caption because of a question asked to me. Who was the most influential collector that inspired you to collect? We all looked at sports and hip hop for influence. Who during this era in the limelight played a bigger role than Joe?

Joe maybe the sneaker goat BUT Joe is the worst sneaker presenter in the history of presenters. 😂😂😂

For me Joe was the first collector I’ve ever seen thanks to Bobbito on ESPN back in the day. So to me Joe is one then I learned about Kent and then Mayor. I’m a fan of Perfect Pair now because he has a more basketball collection and Jordan PEs that I liked. But to me Air Force 1 the king of it will always be Joe due to the fact the “TS” became it own thing on Forces when I was growing up and started to get into shoes.

I’m in the northwest so it’s crazy that they look like they do.

Ain't nothing wrong with that. Air Force is probably the best sneaker ever made. Simple, to the point, wearable, timeless.

I used to collect vintage spraypaint cans. I used to do the same thing at the mom & pop hardware stores, digging in the basements for old/deadstock cans.

Especially his Mike Bibby story I would've loved being a fly on the wall to see that go down.

How were some of those DS when they had dirt stains on em? Also, why store a collection like that and not in some air tight sealed containers? Crazy
@2real9583 жыл бұрын
Air tight sealed containers will destroy your shoes bro shoes need to breathe no b.s inna climate controlled area if u block air frm your shoes in a air tight container yoy mines well get rdy for your shoes to fall apart in the nxt 10yrs
@kristophergoad21352 жыл бұрын
Well 20 years ago when Joe was doing this nobody really collected like he did. 99.9% bought the shoes, tossed the box, and wore em til they were beat. Nobody, not even Joe realized there was a shelf life for sneakers yet. He was just copping and tossing stuff into storage. Now you see he has containers for his best stuff and I'm sure he's got his collection in a climate controlled area. But it's seriously something nobody thought of back then.

I would love to know what a rough estimate on what his whole collection is worth, leaving anything labelled as priceless out of it.
@c7adventures3763 жыл бұрын
Its only worth what people will pay. I used to have a card shop. Its the same in every hobby. Most people will sit on things and the values will drop over time because of interest or age.
