I was born a Gamecock. I've suffered through 40 plus years of being a die hard fan. I truly believe that after 220 years, we have finally found our coach! This was the man that recruited the most successful Gamecock team to date. He was behind Spurrier's available talent & he's done it again! We have the best QB in college football right now and he's just getting started. Who doesn't want to block for the man that just won't be sacked? What wide out wouldn't want a shot at being Sellers favorite target? How could a talented tailback not see the benefits of having 2 LEGIT threats in the backfield and a solid passing game? Shane Beamer has put my beloved Gamecocks in a position we've never been in. There are so many excellent reasons to come play for Coach Beamer! I have no doubt that he will have every bit of talent needed to remove any decision making by the "playoff selection committee" we were promised the best 12 teams would face off in the playoffs. What we got is the best 3 teams each conference could offer for the most part. 3 SEC teams! Really? How often does the national championship trophy leave the Southeast? When Michigan knows what play the other team is calling, they aren't terrible. We know full well we would smash Indiana, Arizona St, Boise State, already beat Clemson, Penn State wants none of USC, nor are we concerned about Ohio State! Georgia, and Texas, possibly Tennessee and Oregon, would give us a game. Can't lie, I wouldn't want to tangle with Clemson again, but believe we would beat them again & if we had made the playoffs, Notre Dame in freezing cold South Bend would have been a ruff first round, but, it just wasn't meant to be this year. The next couple of years belong to USC!🐓💪🌴💥

Has anyone ever explained how Ole Miss has so much money? It's a poor state, a middling football program (traditionally no better or worse than South Carolina) and has a significantly smaller population 3m to 5.3m in SC. I completely understand why Texas A&M has such deep pockets. I'm not surprised that Florida does...but why Ole Miss? I know it can also boil down to a team just having a few mega-rich boosters (hello Phil Knight and Oregon), but Ole Miss doesn't seem to be either oil rich or literacy rich.

I figured that last year was their One Shot at Glory🏆 Thinking that’s what and how Lane got the 💰 to Start with… Promising a Natty Yet he didn’t Deliver so idk where he’s getting the 💰 for yet Another Year!!! And here they are again with money to burn and seemingly able to buy any players they want. And unfortunately we have vested interest in how good they are because we have to play them again next season...on the road.

@@poloregal Well SC hasn't spent much money in the Portal...yet! In terms of Portal every single analyst continues to say Ole Miss seems to have an unlimited budget and cherry picks whoever they target. On the other hand, I've heard more than one analyst (including this one) suggest that USC is playing "money ball". Smartly picking players who are highly affordable from smaller programs--DKnight, Josh Simon, Jawarn Howell etc.--but their evaluations show those guys can make a big impact.

Next year, the offense may have to carry the defense for the first part of the season. The opposite of 2024. 2024 portal was like an elite high school recruiting class. As far as juice wells, an NFL quarterback throwing him the ball gave him the success. If wells makes the NFL, he may play a year or two on special teams. I'm always ready to bring in great players. I do think Howell, and Fuller are really good and I want them to get some touches.

I wish they would have the portal open only in the spring. Why is the portal open during bowl games , playoffs etc. ? If you're truly interested in education anymore it's a bad time to try and get students enrolled in classes , transcripts etc. Still wondering why we now have 2 high school signing periods.

Haynes would be an awesome pickup, on paper. If it's true that Adaway is coming back, and from what I have seen of Howell, I still think we will be solid. That being said, you can't have too much depth at the RB position, we still have Fuller back there too. We had a season where we had to pu a TE in the RB position just to get by, and I still think that played a part in him leaving and going to Florida St. We don't want that situation again. Kind of surprised about the Braswell transfer, but I'm guessing it was a playing time decision, can't blame a guy for wanting to play and try to get some attention

I disagree man, Sellers made what he had work which speaks to the type of player he is. However, we need to protect him better over the next two-three years. If we protect him better than we have, we have an even better offense. Simple math here. Defense could use some good additions though.
