I dont understand why they nerfed the Shattering blades build and walled us into Breath Spec. Its so clunky in M+, you either do damage like a god or like a peasant. Not rewarding, and higher keys are pain in ass, having to watch out for breath and tons of other shit... its just bizzare

I don't think they meant to. It's just they nerfed things that we do a lot of damage with without thinking about the ramifications. Which if you look at the changes they've been pushing recently to all specs seems to just be the status quo.

at around 7:04, it looks like either Breath or Reaper's Mark is not on the gcd since you seem to be able to press them almost back-to-back. I thought I have to allow for 2 gcds to cast those 2 spells.

for breath window, we want to get as many DNDs down to cleave oblits right? usually 2 in a window, maybe 3 if pack is long. But for pillar windows is it just making sure u have 1 dnd before reaper/pillar? I have troubles sometimes where reaper/pillar is up and i only have 2 runes, should I wait for a 3rd rune to DND then reaper/pillar? and sometimes When i go into RM/Pillar I cant oblit right away, so is there a rule to pool runes before going into that window? What is the goal for non breath reaper/pillar windows? Just get as many Oblits/exterms in and using rime with proc and basically? Do i hold breath if RM/Pillar is down? Usually theres like a 30s window Last question, when Im on my non breath window... if I cap on RP do i FS? or keep Oblitting and only FS when no more runes/rime procs?

1.Remorseless winter 2. Reapers mark 3.DND 4. Pillar once GCD is back and immediately frost strike. While pillar is up you want to spend let off as many obliterates as possible and while Remoseless is up you want to spend as many runes as possible (through obliterate). Never use breathe without RM, pillar, and Dancing rune weapon (its the same CD so just macro them as 1 button). Outside of breath Pillar if you have RP and no rime or runes then use FS as that has a chance to give you a rune and it will also give you a killing machine proc. Never FS when breathe is up even if you have no runes or rime its better to do nothing and wait for runes to come back or activate AMS and stand in a puddle since that give you runic power.

im trying unholy. being pinned to one target, while trying to maintain uptime on breath when targets inevitably move out of your range is just exhausting in mplus. if frost isnt giga blasting, not worth the headache

I’ve had the same opinion. Frost has high highs but terrible lows. Feels awkward having to “hug” bosses compared to Unholy which gets Clawing Shadows with range, a charger and does almost entirely passive AoE from a distance with Epidemic/Diseases

I'm in the same boat. I was having fun with the shattering build in M+ but I hate the breath build. Gave it a shot for raid and M+ and then said "nope" and went Unholy. My performance has been way higher in my +9 pug keys.

Definitely UDK, frost is likely be nerfed again. Unlike UDK, you can make mistake, won’t change overall too much. Frost goes better on well organised teams, but less room to make mistake. If you die via BOS window, you will have lower damage input than your tank

the spec is flawed, since they added breath the spec been shit. only season 2 dragonflight they did over good dmg but not BIS. they should remove breath and make oblit hit harder nerfing deathbringer is fine by my, rider is way more fun and much better

If im not wrong you will howling blast with à free proc only if you are above 80 PR during breath. Outside of breath you will use the proc before frost strike, and if you are bursting with your reapers mark the fever will be applied by scythes.

Same, especially on dawnbreaker dung, this god damn welpling pulls mobs from across the country. It always goes forward in a line wherever your character is looking, so the only advice is to aim it somewhere safe, position yourself facing the direction you came from. Or just turn if off in your talents 😂

Im disappointed shattering build got a side nerf, i enjoyed playing it abit more than breath. Would like to see a vouple viable builds from balance standpoint instead of being pigeon holed into one. But theres more important things that need balancing than more DK stuff.

Don’t follow the crowd guys, I been running unholy the entire time and have a toon that is geared to destroy mythic plus frost lows are horrible, the pinning yourself to a mob is terrible, the lack of mobility is terrible, it’s only good for groups that will specific to your cooldowns, if your hopping on trying to pug a 12 unholy is better all day everyday

Were you playing with a death knight tank by any chance after nerfs? 11-12m burst is impressive and definitely not normal numbers, even I've never reached that. I don't think its normal for us to be doing those numbers on 5 targets so I'm certainly not mad.
