I've been collecting since 2016 with just under 2,000 pops in my collection. I have an entire room in my house dedicated to Funko.

😲 That's a lot of Pops!! I've seen some of the stuff you add though and it's pretty awesome!! We only have about 250 Pops right now. Growing it slowly.

I just subscribed to your channel. I have 71 funko pops. I love Funko pops but my wife does not. She tells me that I should get rid of them. I try to think of a reason to sell them, but I can’t think of one. I look at my Funko pops collection and it brings a smile to my face every time. Funko brings back my favorite cartoons and tv shows from my childhood. I was so happy to find your channel because I agree with everything you said. Thank you for lifting up my spirits on collecting something I love.

That's the start of a great collection. 😊 Just work with your wife and let her know that they're important to you. We collect for similar reasons. Heavily nostalgia based collection. Thanks for watching and glad you found us! 💙

Well done! Its not dead, I saw people looking at pops today and picking some up. We stand behind you!!! Keep upbeat and positive ❤ Been in around 2 years and have over 800 pops and over 100 sodas.

Not dead at all thankfully. 😊 Positive attitude always. You both have a huge collection!! That's awesome!!

I've been collecting since 2012, and at one point had over 600. I have scaled down drastically over the years with pops but grew a massive soda collection ( which I said I wasn't going to collect😬) and now I have about 200. Keep up the great content!

I agree fully I collect for fun and display my interest at work. The reports of it dying are for people who want to buy low sell high. For us collectors the markups coming down is a win for us

I work from home so I also display my interests at work. 😂 I also did when I worked in office too. It's a great win for us. Can finally start grabbing some of the ones that have been too expensive.

I 10000000% agree with you! Funko is not dying and I’m pretty sure it never will cause they hit on to many different franchises and things everyone loves and it will keep bringing in more and more people as it does that!! We didn’t even realize it was a “collectible” when we first started we just thought they were really cool figures of some of the things we loved and started buying them! We just love collecting the things we are passionate about and know tons of other people to do!! Thank you so much for including us in your list of channels to check out we truly appreciate you and this AMAZING community!!!!

Yep!! 😊 There are so many options when it comes to Funko items. That's what I love about them. Plus I'm always discovering new Pops that I didn't even know existed. They're just a lot of fun!! You're welcome!! Keep up the awesome work. 💯

I agree Funko isn't dying. I think a lot of people who started collecting for value started selling out of fear. The market should stabilize, and go back to pre pandemic stability. Good video Jeremy 🎉

I agree! Funko is not dying, unless you're in it for strictly profit. I've been collecting since 2017. I have over 400. I need to reinventiry it and see how many for sure, but I love Funko!

As far as the actual product, I think everyone is well aware of the Marvel + anything and everything spam era that produced things like the ART series. They still have some bad choices here and there, but honestly I think especially the '23-24 releases have tons of fantastic stuff. Great molds, beautiful boxes, tons of fun cartooney characters that work great with the POP stylization, again as opposed to the endless duplicate generic human marvel characters in overdetailed modernized suits. Just some recent/upcoming stuff, we have: Shrek, Garfield, Carebear Monsters, everything Anime, Patchwork Batman set, WoW/Diablo, Pebbles/Honey-Comb and other cereal Mascots, Sonic, Pokemon, Lord of the Rings, Jungle Book, Spongebob, Castlevania, tons of Pixar, Banjo-Kazooie, Peanuts, Dragon Ball GT, Pink Panther, Sanrio, etc. The product is genuinely getting better and better which should drive continued interest and excitement, you as a collector just need to be very aware of potential pitfalls outside of a craze period... clearances and sales are inevitable, meaning the full MSRP effectively is not the real price, its only there profit off the impulsive people... It's just like videogames, if you just have to have something no matter what, sure go for it, but otherwise patience is king. It's not like tools or something where there's a couple SKUs that are stocked for a decade, new collectibles/games/books/movies are constantly being made and the old ones have to go somewhere (desperately) because it's very costly to store them. I treat POPs as if they are supposed to be 4-7, and am happy with many of my pickups for that. If they stay there, so be it. If they drop a buck or two, so be it. If they're actually worth a lot more or grow to that over time, that's all a bonus. You wouldn't buy a PS5 game at 70 and expect it to hold that and raise or double/triple really quick would you, so it's unreasonable to expect or rely on that kind of thing here, EVEN THOUGH for a short time it was the reality for POPs and Pokemon and a couple other things during that very unusual period. Other than the criticisms of the poorly designed variants and Marvel and non-POP side product spam, I think the vast majority of resentment or abandoning of the hobby is from people that for whatever reason thought the extremely unusual craze was permanent, and made purchasing decisions trusting that would never end, suffering losses as a result. The anger is totally understandable, but it should be a teaching moment not a reason to make up hyperbolic claims about the whole hobby insisting that no one could possibly like Funko anymore. If that was actually true, the new releases would be far more sparse and/or the prices would consistently be rock bottom... but they aren't, just one of the new Garfields has >800 pre-orders at full MSRP on just US Amz... just one SKU and just the impulsive people and ignoring orders from HotTopic/BoxLunch/EntertainmentEarth/Funko and other vendors people often trust more for mint POPs.

There is a lot to unpack here and I agree with all of it. Funko has made amazing decisions with their releases this year so far. I'm hoping for more Sodas and fingers crossed the convention exclusives are awesome. Pops and Pokémon definitely took a hit, but they probably never should've been that high to begin with. Thanks for watching and thanks for your input!!

Very well said Jeremy! I can’t stand watching the one who keeps saying that Funkos are dying! He’s not doing Funko Pop auctions on W at n ot anymore. That’s his loss. I enjoy my pops. Yes, when I get some good pulls from mystery boxes and they don’t fit my collection…I sell them. Funko is NOT dead! Long live FUNKO!

That is a decent size collection. 😊 We surprisingly don't have a ton either. Mostly because of space. Probably about 250 of them.

I started my collection with buying Sodas. I wanted to get a couple cool ones for my book shelf so I bought Slimer and Pumpkin King Jack Skellington, and that was the start of it all… I bought those in June of 2023. I was only going to get Sodas because I didn’t like Pops that much but then I changed my mind lol. Now I have about around 30 or so sodas and 48 Pops.

All depends on your pov. Lots who say Funko is dead are meaning the Funko they knew is dead. I think the company is fine and will continue to exist. However, the limited run, niche 2012 days are long gone. The company changed; as all do over time.
@jeremy.collects5 ай бұрын
Yes. 💯 I definitely think the days of super limited pieces are pretty much gone. We still see a few at Fundays and different events but Funko has become too popular to continue that for all convention exclusives.

Hey buddy great video I definitely understand where you're coming from and I 100% agree. If Funko was dead what do we have all these people coming in buying stuff. If Funko is dead why are there so many channels that are always showing what they got always trying to get the next best thing. If Funko was dead why did they just drop 20 or more items of Batman that I need to pick up. They're not dead the thing is just what you said people aren't making the money they used to and they say that it's dying. The resale values are going down and it's easier to obtain some certain pieces. Everybody has their likes they have their Nostalgia and what they do. I only collect Batman related pops and like I said I just got hit with a ton of them in the last 3 weeks. So I can honestly say anime is blowing up people love anime it's all about what you're into and it's all about your attitude about the situation. Right now I haven't really counted in a while but I can tell you I'm probably close to 550 pops. I mean and that's not even including two packs three packs rides moments all that stuff. That's a single 4 inch pops 10-in pops. And it's all Batman related. So like you said if people are discouraging people away from collecting that's going to hurt the Funko game. But there's still all of us that love it and will always collect and just enjoy it. It's all because of the Nostalgia I think. It's being able to go in a room look at the Pops you have and bring back memories that's what it does for me. But anyway I've rambled too long LOL hope all is well take care and have a awesome Father's Day😊

The way I see it prices were way too high on pops. For something that is 15 dollars retail should not be selling for hundreds of dollars. Seems like prices are coming down to a realistic point.
@jeremy.collects5 ай бұрын
I can understand the limited ones fetching hefty prices. Never understood the fomo prices for ones that would get plenty of restocks. Prices are leveling out and now I can get a few grails I've been looking at.

I collected pops pretty heavily from like 2015 til 2018 then in the pandemic I sold my collection because I kind of shifted to records and some higher end toys but I have bought and sold them on the side since and can say the demand is still there they do sell just not as crazy as they used to they days of every pop being worth a minimum of 20 or 30 bucks is over but I can say across all toys and collectibles demand and prices sky rocketed in the pandemic and it's leveled out now but certain ones will still end up being worth decent money for example the recent slipknot ones tend to go for 35 to 60 each it's not dead some thing happened with records same thing happened with neca
@jeremy.collects4 ай бұрын
Yeah, we noticed the craziness of pandemic prices because of Pokémon. Got into Funko quite a bit later but we've always been careful with watching how much we spend on Pops. Definitely noticed a decline in prices. I'm OK with it because it means we can start grabbing some of those older Pops that we've been wanting while they're cheaper.
@garyharvey9415 ай бұрын
Well said Jeremy I don't collect expensive grails because they will drop in price sooner or later I have over 400 pops some are grails by luck really I have been collecting 8-9 years I love my collection it's all paid for I have no room for any more but I sell some to buy some now, I am a big Spiderman, Back to the future and star wars collector and what ever else I like really if prices go down I get cool pops cheaper so I see no down side, I like your channel found it by accident but watch all your videos from the u.k Keep it up and Taylor is great with you.
