In my opinion, a Phalanx air force would be a cool storyline, almost like a ride trying to counter the nemesis creature

From what I remember when air first was being built (I followed it at the time), an army / air force counter attack to nemesis was the original theme. Then 9/11 happened and they quickly changed it to the oasis / flight theme

Another nod to Galatica getting rethemed is the bus on Nemesis has Eve, the voice from Galactica talking. I reckon the may rethemed it and call it something like Phalanx AIR Assault. As a fighter plane to battle Nemesis.

Story Idea: In a aim to help rebuild public trust with the Society known of the”Phalanx” to coincide with the reopening of the Phalanx research centre they invite guest into the A.I.R containment facility to ride upon the surveillance vehicles keeping Nemesis Safe and Contained. However upon your journey something goes slightly…. WRONG! Sending you into the spiralling layout of A.I.R

If they do separate it into a different area, it would be cool to see them go ahead with the original Air plans, with the water features and everything, the space is already there to do it I know it’s wishful thinking but project Ocean for the flat ride made me think of those original plans for Air

I wish it was themed to it's original theme as it would be a nice point of difference. Maybe have a subtle tie in with nemesis but how cool would it be to be flying through a nice rocky Forrest style landscape

I loved the original theme, it was one of my top coaster at Towers before Galactica! I wish it got the additional themeing it was originally planned to have as Air! Also, love your videos!

When I at Alton towers last week I was talking to my brother-in-law about this very thing, We were saying how cool it would be if the red veins from nemesis would start to grown up the supports of galactica over the coming season, they kept adding them a few each month, then at the end of the year it is shut down and re themed as the phalanx flights back, and the trains of galatica are themed as fighters.

Imagine they do an Imascore version of the Orginal theme! 😍 Edit: I think there's a possibility there could be water effects if they do chose to Retheme it. Could explain the project Ocean thing. Forbidden Valley is supposed to be in a *Valley* after all... A lot of other flying coasters have water effects too. Who knows!

I was wondering this and another KZbinr mentioned the car park behind Air/Galactica as a potentially expansion site plus the first hotel you come across is splash landings so water theme again…

Id love to see them revisit the original theme but actually complete the theming. Personally i wouldn't want it connected to Nemesis or Phalanx, but make air its own themed area seperate from Forbidden Valley.

I think they will retheme it to the seek the truth to go agents nemesis reborn edit: when I went on galactic in the new session the employees had nemesis themed name badges [I would love a nemesis poster]

The Nemesis maintenance shed has "Hanger 24" written on the back, so I think the implication is clear that the Phalanx has an air force (beyond just the odd Heli). I see it as setting the groundwork for a Galactica retheme to unify the whole of Forbidden Valley with the Phalanx theme. Galactica clearly needs some work, the track and ride look pretty grungy especially compared to all the new shiny stuff next to it. The themeing is obsolete since you no longer have the VR, the queue tunnel to the left station is a sweatbox in warm weather, and I reckon it's a bit of a maintenance nightmare since it always seems to be down at least part of the day every time I'm there. Literally broke down a couple of days ago while I was stood at the loading gate, really frustrating. Needs some work and a retheme would be the perfect opportunity. Honestly maybe even a reinstallation of it's own (but for the cost I'd tear it out and put a new layout in it's stead). I don't think that one is likely though, it's fair bit less iconic and beloved than Nemesis after all, but a man can dream.

You make some really good points, I think all leads are pointing to a Phalanx tie at some point soon, there’s a lot of coincidental Easter eggs and teases for it to be nothing 🤷‍♂️

Great spot on the blue and black colour scheme. I spoke to a member of AT staff who said that the new ride will be a smaller version of the original ripsaw and they have so much more to add in Forbidden Valley so hopefully this includes the Galactica retheme 🎉

@@ianmallory6320 Honestly I highly doubt it'll be a "smaller version of the original Ripsaw". Ripsaw was removed for a reason, and if you just spoke to some random employee in a red jacket I can guarantee they don't have the answer.

They could do a re-theme kinda similar to Rita but with a different story line. Like how Rita is to escape the dark forest now. a.i.r instead could be a phalanx institution to (although a bit samey) run away from nemesis or even like a simulation to some sort of part about phalanx research. exploration would be a cool theme like it said in the video, maybe to recruit soldiers to help fight the nemesis beast Here’s a possible acronym for it, not the best but I thought of it on the spot A - Activate I - Initiate R - Run/Release

I saw someone else think of a story for it so I’m doing one too lol. Keeping the space theme an asteroid could hit earth near the nemesis sight. The phalanx get their hands on it and discover nemesis eggs hinting to a possible planet where it came from. So in attempt to rebuild trust with the public they decide to stop the eggs from hatching by destroying them, however doing so a baby nemesis creature is released. And riding the coaster you would be that nemesis creature trying to escape the phalanx facility. In terms of theming there could be guns, etc trying to stop you and eventually they do, unable to gain the publics trust still

I’m gonna say that it still might be “Galactica” space themed because of the voice of eve in the nemesis bus but with the A.I.R stuff I think that’s more what will happen to the name and not Galactica…so a Galactica theme with eve tying in to nemesis but a name relating to Air that ties in with Phalanx stuff 🙃

Now we're talking, I never even triggered with the A.I.R on the side of the building. I did see the colour change. I think for success it'll have to be renamed air, I loved the galaxy themed track and the blue track. Phalanx seem big on air support or supply so it'll be a natural progression or lastly THE CONCEPT ART WAS MAJOR MAJOR STUFF so retheme it that way as a ride on the edge of our GALAXY as Phalanx subsidiary space program.........blue flowing river (bring back red for nemmy) have kinda like a fire n water thing going on The options are limitless........I'd love to get one of those posters I was gutted I didn't grab more merch opening day

I love the concept But I think bring air back but they could make it like how nemesis is vengeful because of air being turned into galactica. Maybe the story line could go like nemesis ate air during a fight and she was replaced by galactica and when nemesis was taken back from the phalanx they were able to get air out the stomach and she would be half nemesis and half same and she would kill galactica so she could get her title back The ride will have galactica's remains all over the track would be a dark blue with purple electric going up the supports and a hallucination of the ground all destroyed and Eve screen would be her beginning the people to save her And to fit it with nemesis, air would be tested in for the DNA of the nemesis corruption

I think to keep the portal but have it so like blue ish veins are destroying it. It could be an air control theme and I would really like it if they added like blue veins around the supports so it’s like a new monster is trying to escape. 😊

True but I don’t think Rita fits said theme too well sadly 😕 even smiled and oblivion are quite different 😔 Oblivion could be themed in to smiler quite easily though and keep the dont look down tagline but it would loose its orange logo I imagine then…with smiler being black and yellow 🤔

I loved hearing Eve on the crashed bus, makes me think a Phalanx re theme is definitely on its way! Maybe it’ll be silver like the bus is? Who knows these days! Miss the original Air soundtrack. I was gutted not to get to Nemesis Reborn for opening day and would eat one of her tentacles for the opening day posters… 🤮

Idea: A.I.R Escape The Valley, Based on the phalanx and a emergency escape from the nemesis monster and the portal flys them to a safer dimension from the monster to save our population! Thoughts???
