I’ve lived here my whole life and been extremely reckless. I think the people that get into altercations are asking for it, and also stats are inflated by dramatic people that might’ve been shoved and say I’m being assaulted! It’s over exaggerated per capita
@risingcrimenews8 ай бұрын
2 things I know are true - 1-the crime stats are always fudged a bit one way or another and 2-when you live in a city people tend to think its safer than it really is because they are used to it and not looking at it objectively. I personally do this where I live, which is why I'm moving out of the city next month.

Who knew? 😱 It's still worth getting off the interstate and visiting Richardson's Trading Post or stopping for breakfast at Earl's. Just make sure you are back on the road before sundown. If you spend the night at the El Rancho Hotel, don't wander around at night. Eat dinner at Jerry's and turn in early - the downtown area is full of drinks and drunk drivers after dark and the bar's are CRAZY - stay out. Be cautious, be aware, and Gallup has a lot to offer. I personally love stopping there and have never had a problem. I hope you have the same experience. 👍

@@openyoureyes3969 Yes.... I agree. Driving through town during daylight hours and perhaps stopping at Richardson's for a brief look at the merchandise, grabbing a bite to eat, and then getting back on the road is the best (and safest!) way to go.

Shocking news! I don't live in Gallup but I visit there several times a year. The only crime I've ever seen is alot of public drunkeness, and Sadly alot of it. It's a beautiful part of New Mexico. Hope they can clean things up. Been visiting there for years, it's sad but true this is America as a whole. Decades of Democrats in public office doesn't help either!

They'll never clean up Gallup, because the business owners themselves are the corruptors and oppressors of their own communities. 💀 A bakery there is a cover for a fentanyl distributor, for example. If you were born in Gallup, there's only one thing to do: *GET OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE*.

A long time ago I had to spend the night there because I got off schedule and really didn't have a choice. I wasn't a victim of a crime but I got crabs from the motel I stayed at and got Hepatitis A from eating at some Mexican joint I can't remember the name. The whole town just had a "dirty" feel to it. Drunks were all over the place and I saw a number of women I assumed to be prostitutes havngin around the motels. It seemed like half the businesses in town were either bars or liquor stores. I was living in Memphis at the time so I know a shithole when I see one and Gallup was a really big shithole. I can't imagine it's gotten better.

We just traved all the way across the country. We got off the exit to take the kids to the Navajo wildlife zoo off the Gallup exit. We figured we would stay there for the night and continue our journey. We had 2 interactions that confirmed whites are not welcome.

Gallup sucks. Cant blame them. Its a reservation town. Nothing on the reservation. It sucks. Everyone drives hours to gallup to the mall or Walmart. Native on native crime And more. Those left out to die in freezing weather. It just bad.

@Darkdimension991then the drunks and junkies will just go to Grant's or Albuquerque. In all honesty Albuquerque is far worse than gallup. Gallup is quiet and sad, Albuquerque is lively and sketchy. In all honesty alot has changed in 18 years, may not be nice but I've honestly never had an issue and same goes for my family who both live in either the rich neighborhoods or the poor ones. Sounds like you just had sh!t classmates. Again only real issue is drunks and junkies, and they are mostly harmless unless they are suffer withdrawal. Even downtown is ok and tame for the majority.
