That's actually true, Gangs of wasseypur is one of the most important films to come out of Indian cinema which challenges the norms of fillmaking across Indian cinema, from great direction, to authentic camerawork, to precise acting. It has set a standard in not only Indian cinema but in world cinema whereas Animal is mediocre at best. There is no point in defending mediocre films like Animal. Indian cinema has made many great films like Tumbadd, Ship of theseus, The lunchbox, court, Black friday etc.
