I'm an elder millennial. For me it's this simple. In the 1980s, people like my Dad finished high school, and even with poor grades, still walked into a factory job that paid enough for him to buy a house a raise a family of 3. That same job now requires a university degree and the starting salary at his place is lower than it was even 20 years ago. I don't blame anyone in Gen Z for thinking work isn't worth the effort anymore.

6:42 Exactly this. I'm 21 a Gen Z guy and I've researched and learned of all the pitfalls that previous generations went through when it comes to work, relationships, marriage, school, finances, and life in general. Everytime I begin to experiencen significant negative outcome from work or anything else that Millennials have gone through or are going through I completely disconnect myself from it as quickly as possible. Maybe if I was a boomer I'd stick through a dead end minimum wage job because it would make sense to at least keep that so I fan have my house and family but that's not available in the current economy and political climate. There's nothing for me to work for since gen z women hate men and are hyper narcissistic due to social media rather than just the base of regular narcissism that women are born with. All they do is work to the top of some job, listening to a corporate man instead of walking around a regular mans house barefoot and pregnant. Companies inch your pay by pennies instead of an increase that would change your tax bracket. School is useless and doesn't get you a good job unless you're in the family of a millionaire with connections, (luckily I was smart enough to go to community college and do the rest in state, instead of glorifying a school's name which some of these pampered girls that get all the resources in the gen z family structures do). Everyone I know no matter the major uses ai to cheat on everything from the work to the exams in person or online because the professors don't care anymore since they know we're all using ai for their ridiculous workload. We've seen that life is horrible for past generations and that we'd have an even worse life as gen z if we tried too hard like them. Sorry for the terrible sentence structures, I've been using ai to do my papers and all possible work since 2020.

we were told "if your generation doesn't fix climate change and the economy life on earth will cease to exist" and you guys wonder why we act differently. we have to take responsibility for hundreds of years of waste and enter a workforce that doesn't want to hire us...

When wages have increased less than inflation/cost of living, then it is an undeniable truth that we have devalued work

I'm a millennial who tends to follow more gen z political and lifestyle, the gen z co workers I've had have all been bad. I'd rather be short handed then have to clean up after them on top of doing their work.

Your opinion matters , because understanding your experience with working with people is really is a challenge matter;we can agree that we all done one guilty sin during work. We are not perfect

Hey. I just wanted to comment on your statement that college degree is/feels 'useless' if you don't work the educated field. While it most certainly would be ideal to work in the field your education was steered towards, life doesn't always work out that way. As I see it, the most useful skill you pick up in school and college is the ability to discipline yourself, acquire, learn and retain knowledge. I personally don't work in the field I was collage educated to work in either, but it enabled me to learn the skills required to handle almost any job. Point is - don't think of it as entirely wasted time, because it isn't. :) Might help with the jadedness too ;) Anywho - nice video, good points!

Takes integrity to write that report and send it in to corporate. It would seem that you may be somebody to look up too.
