K1 visa is a bit faster. BUT, I wouldn't recommend it. You literally have NO rights as a fiance. They can deny you for literally any reason. It's a devastating process. I have to do the spousal visa now. I wish I had done this in the first place. Denied my K1 this week.

My case has been process for over 2 years, we did the medical twice already we had an interview on January 4th . Everything went fine but they asked us to bring my house lease. I gave it to them January 7th and I'm still waiting until now

My Fiance and I filed our I129 back in January, we got approval on that in July. It has since been stuck at the NVC, they are refusing to forward on to the embassy in London. He is from the UK. We've not seen each other in 9 months with no end in sight. He is literally not even allowed to leave his country except in the case of work or school. We are beside ourselves. Just because we have not had the opportunity to marry, Noone seems to care that they are keeping couples apart and causing greet emotional anguish and hardship. It's just horrible what these so called leaders are controlling us so immensely. I wake up everyday depressed after having never been depressed a day in my life 😪 The only thing that seems to matter is if you are married, than u are exempt for all the travel been nonsense 💔 nevermind that you may have had a wedding date booked and it has been ripped out from underneath you do to the tyranny of governments around the world! We just want to be allowed to live our lives as neither of us are getting any younger and tomorrow is not guaranteed. 😢

I applied for the i129f august 2020 and every time I check my status on USCIS it just says case received and it’s been 6 months since they’ve received it. Does that mean that it’s being processed or not?

They should be. Mine took 7 to 8 months before i got my notice. Now its at the NVC. And the time it takes to schedule an interview has been way too long.

Hey, thanks for your videos. My K1 visa got 221g from Mumbai, India consulate to provide a date of marriage and wedding arrangements in the US. Now, we are not sure of their process. May end up asking for more and more documents ending up moving in circles which may take several months or years all together. Instead, can we not submit the requested documents, wait for 3 months or so and get married, cancel the K1 visa petition by giving a reason that it's taking a lot of time and apply for CR1 ? Because, with CR1, we will at least be assured of getting a visa after 18 months or so .

It’s getting really annoying, I and my fiancé have been waiting for two years now to get married. Application is stocked in the embassy and can’t even book appointment. I and my fiancé considering to get marry by June if the consulate do not start processing visas. I don’t know if this is a bad or good idea., we’re just tired waiting and being apart 🤔

there are workarounds for the flight ban. Many travel to the U.S. through Mexico, for instance. But getting an expired visa reissued might take a lawsuit right now.

What if they got married remotely and didn't do a fiance visa. What are their options? Will it require the US Citizen to go to that country again? They also have an Apostille. She is in Switzerland, he is here in the US. They have known each other for 3 yrs. Lived together for 4 months but no joint account to date.

K3 visa is for married couples. The requirements are on the USCIS website.

My uncles is American and she is Vietnamese. He visited her a few years ago and the case was received with in two years. Her first interview was December 10 and they requested more information. She has a second interview on January 24. We have all the information and we have more than enough proof. The thing is she is very shy and she freezes and cant explain all her answers correctly. You could say she has a panic attack. Should we file a lawsuit or appeal on the k1 visa or get married in Vietnam? I am lost for words and its sad this situation. He did try to return to Vietnam several times to visit but the country was shut down because of the pandemic. Anyone please help me what should we do?

Filed my K-1 petition August of 2018. Had the interview February 2020. Now being told it’s in administrative processing. Financially we can’t afford the money for the lawsuit. If I just let things be, how many more years could we potentially be waiting ? 😣
