Is Gillio Worth It? // Comparison of Gillio & Moterm Black Croco Leather Planners

They are both printed/stamped leather and Moterm has more of a protective coating. The Moterm looks beautiful, comes with many more pockets, is easier to replace rings, and kinder on a budget, especially when most planner lovers buy multiple planners.

I love how Gillio leather feels. ❤️ I’m not a fan of the texture of the Moterm- too pimply looking. They really bring their pocket game, though! And I’m also a fan of the double popper.

My Moterm zipper has the same installation as yours on the left side. A little design flaw that I never notice until I saw this video!😉 It doesn't interfere with the way I use the planner, though. Love your website! It's so easy to find what I need. I'm test driving the daily page for now. Will be back for more later!

The leather in the Gillio looks so beautiful, I actually found myself sniffing when you sniffed! Your comment about the Moterm zipper made me check, and mine doesn't go all the way up either, it actually can't. If you look, the right side at the very top doesn't have a zip track because the leather falls over it. Weird design quirk. PS: Didn't know you had a website, I just ordered through Etsy. How exciting!

Also moterms at every visibly mimicking the designs of a gillio so it’s good comparison to the the little nuances among the layout. Also you can customize a vds to be and look however you want so a comparison would be very difficult because everyone’s custom looks different

Calves are very cheap. One calf costs about 10 euros. The male calves are not needed, they are killed immediately. This calfskin here completely disguises its origin. You press in a pseudo-scar, crocodile, and now you have a leather that is neither calf nor crocodile. This leather is now 'finished', that is, injected with color and varnish to get smudge resistance, color fastness and moisture resistance. Basically, you could just as well use plastic. What you smell here is not the leather, but the residue of the tanning process. Even your own skin doesn't smell, but the bacteria if you haven't washed for a while. Ring planners are a typical women's product because you need a handbag to carry them. These ring planners do not fit in any jacket pocket. If I were a calf, I would wish that they would not disguise my origin and make a crocodile out of me. But you don't ask the calf. So I ask myself: why do people buy such things?
