Is He really in control of whether we receive our healing or the manifestation of what we're believing for?
And if He doesn’t cause things, why does He permit things?
And if He doesn’t cause or permit things, why doesn’t He stop things from happening?
What about Job? What about Paul’s thorn in the flesh?

Hi @johnnyappleseed5029 thank you for your lovely words of encouragement! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." Notice that it says "IN" everything give thanks, not "FOR" everything give thanks. Yes, God wants us to rejoice and give thanks in every situation we find ourselves because He's already given us everything we need to overcome, and so our attitude should always be one of thankfulness for the victory that is already ours in Christ. It's God' will that we be THANKFUL, not God's will that we be in that situation :) I hope this helps! Blessings! Emily
