Answering the title: I'm gonna' go with _yes_ (in the case of the abrahamic god). That god ordered that people be killed for working on sundays, turned a woman into a pillar of salt for looking at the wrong thing, was perfectly fine with Jephthah performing a human sacrifice (of his daughter), and much much more. (From around 19:00) not allowing yourself to think critially (doubt) is bad, doing so with the explicit goal of self-delusion is worse. Go ahead, Doubt. You should doubt the fables of the iron age. Do you not doubt the quran and the texts of hinduism? If so, why? Try to self reflect. Your beliefs in gods are likely held for similarly improper reasons. Your favorite god is neither the first nor last to be invented.

You got the wrong understanding my friend.

We get offended and think God is unjust for the things in the Bible because we know we are just as deserving of such things as they are. It hits home. We don't want to think that we deserve to be cast into hell for what we've done, but it's true. That's a fact.

There's the problem of judging just by the title.

@@HearGodsWord True. The comment doesn't really address any of the subject matter at hand. It's just an angry person lashing out at God and trying to defend his own evil actions.

@ATSansOfToadsuckStudios speak for yourself. What have we done exactly? Exist in the bloodline of Adam? Be human? What amount of finite transgressions makes someone deserving of eternal torture? What's worse, that you think your god is evil or that you don't realize it? How kind of you to ignore all I've said and try to paint me as some petulant child "lashing out". I lash out at Yaweh as you lash out at Ra or Jupiter; not at all, because I don't believe they exist. Why should I, because of ancient fairytails from those cultures?
