Game play is what defined the game as good with a little of the basic low poly art style but nothing else is keeping it interesting like lore put in to the game Minecraft for example did not need to any form of story or reasoning to the make the game interesting but it did and made a Spike in content and doesn’t rely on completely rely on community made up thing but still has it because it makes it’s like their is more story or lore to be told. So I think that their should be more story or lore to make more stuff to be told and not fake stuff like the goofy made up ghost gt

Honestly if Lemming added a dodgeball gamemode and/or the Wizard Gorilla Tag that would easily make it last for a couple of more years at least.

this is a great video, i get what your trying to say, but most of these things really dont point to a game dying, ill list off somethings for ya, most of the points you say revolve around the idea of "getting boring" and while this can be a vaild point, it doesnt mean a game is dying, when a game is in the state of dying, player counts are going down badly, bugs are constant, not much contact from the creators or the creators simply dont care about the project. yes, gorilla tag is pretty dry right now, we haven't had a proper update in like what, 4 weeks? while this may seem a little crazy, its more reasonable when you think about these things. Scripting things into the game can be annoying since you never know when it works or not properly (this is expected from every game but im pointing it out since lemming IS a single dev), Making models and other things for a project and be painstakingly long if your trying to do it right and not rush it, having no backup (aka no other devs really) to help with the game makes it pretty hard to beta test things. thats why stuff is put onto beta on the game page, for the community to test it, but that can be unreliable sometimes too. FINALLY, lemming probably has burn-out working on the game so much, before the lack of updates happened, we usually had updates like what, every 2-3 weeks? but since he spent so much effort and stuff during that time and trying to get it out so he can get a good player base, he was starting to burn himself out. this is probably the stage of burnout lemming has where he doesnt wanna work on the game that much and wants a break. that probably explains why the last 2 updates we had were just server fixes. the game isn't dying, its dry because its a game being worked on by a single developer with barely any help and most likely has burn out now trying to keep growing the player base. edit: yes, technically the game is dying, but its at a slow pace right now, so until more people stop playing the game, it should just be classified as dry.
