In English interviews Jackson tends to step back a bit to give the members more screen time. Because they become a bit shy and would be relying on him to carry on with the interview. On the other hand Mark is the opposite, he tends to be more quiet in korean shows, even though he’s really fluent in Korean language. but in English interviews he seems to be more outgoing and confident.

I completely agree with you.

I'm actually impressed because you're really on point. Bambam speaks 3 languages at a fluent level and 2 more at beginner level so he is definitely the communicator and usually is the spokesman for the group. Yugyeom is the main dancer and he is constantly moving or very active when he communicates. Jinyoung is definitely one of the "parents" in the group and seems reserved but definitely adds to the chaos in his own way. Mark seems really quiet and cool but he can be very assertive. Even in their Korean interviews, Youngjae has a tendency to seem like he is in his own world but picks up on the small stuff the guys are doing. JayB is a wild card so I would like to see you get to analyze him more. You almost got Jackson down perfectly. Excited to see more reactions to Got7!
@andreasustaita54422 жыл бұрын
In this interview Youngjae definitely had a language barrier, in that time he was more shy interacting with others in english, he had been working on that to be able to communicate better with international fans and he's getting better. I also love how they all support each other in this aspect, there's several compilations about how Mark, Jackson and Bambam motivate and help Youngjae, Yugyeom, Jay B and Jinyoung to speak in english, instead of translating themselves they push them to try their best and say their own words in english
@monika98882 жыл бұрын
Bambam and Yugyeom are the most chaotic, i love them together 😂😂
@widazannah41702 жыл бұрын
They're so confident and comfortable with themselves. For Jay B, he's a born natural leader (although you said all of them natural leader, yes that's true). He's the type who won't catch your attention at the first glance but actually he's the one who hold the group. They really have a good teamwork

It’s crazy how much Jay b changed as a leader. The members themselves said that Jay b used to be scary and strict and he had a temper even the members were scared of him. I think that the only member who was not sacred of Jay b was Jinyoung because he knew Jay b for a long time. And even though he was strict at that time but the members really depended on him in a lot of ways. Yugyeum said that in his trainee days he was getting bullied by another trainee and he was having a hard time so he called Jay b and talked to him about it. He is really like the dad of the group. Now Jay b softened up as a leader that u can see the members joke around with him and the younger members would tease him constantly😂. I find Jay b personality really interesting because u can never predict him sometimes he can be loud and extra and sometimes u would see him chilling watching his members from the side.

Jinyoung got very dorky sense of humor , when you delve deeper you can understand his humor. More than humor he got savageness, he is hands down most savage in got7 when it come to give back to people. JayB is more on dad jokes, this guy is goofy too and his expression is always on point. Yugyeom is more into dancing and it shows , he got very gentle and kind vibe to it but if someone can fight Jinyoung it is him😂. Youngjae might seem quiet but Jackson and him are Tom and Jerry of the group, him with Jackson is most chaotic thing. Mark is pretty mature and straightforward. Jackson and Bambam is always the moodlifter💚

Bambam and Jackson definitely are the ones who regularly try to give context to everyone, I'm thinking because they are the multi lingual members of the group. (Mark too of course, but as he's the quiet one compared to the other two!) Would love to see your reaction to their Ask In A Box episode - although the questions were pre written etc, they all ask one another without a presence of an interviewer. A really good illustration of their dynamics and relationships.

AAh I really needed something on GOT7 today. Really miss the boys. They are all so different than any other Kpop group that we can really just guess members from their shadows or just dialogues or just actions because they are so genuine in communicating. Really one group that doesn't stick together for name sake . That they have really picked some nasty fights too so they really are polar apart like personalities. Max is right bambam is like firecracker he really lifts the mood or sets the mood (chaotic or being savage first) but he gets that from Jackson from early years when debuted. Now Jackson's really mature to focus on being artist so he stopped being goofy . Mark is someone very aggressive, will talk less but very intimating (Like even JB gets scared when Mark fumes sometimes lol ) JB is the all time trying to discipline the group so that they dont become too frank and get hurt later. But now JB has calmed way much . Damn he was just a torturer, poor bambam still getting his revenge . Jinyoung is the ultimate of savage-ness he really keeps every one disciplined after JB. Yugyeom and Youngjae don't speak much due to the language barrier in interview,s true because sometimes it drags to understand the mood of the group but they give back in Korean interviews lol . This group is really chaotic and don't listen to even company staff or any award show staff . But the boys are kind and humble and respectful really so that's the charm. They get along with many other kpop girl and boy groups but each member have different circles lol. Wow I really ranted a lottt. Sorry I really miss them . Really need a comeback soon !! Thanks for this Max :)

Honestly I feel like they're a bit calmer than normal in their English interviews. The best example of their "chaotic" behavior I feel comes from their live content. The best example of this is probably the Inkigayo check-in videos, if that would ever be something you'd be interested in checking out, too! 🤗

I love this type of review. Thank you for the reaction! I've been a GOT7 fans since they debuted and there are indeed growth and changes in their character as they become more and more mature (ripened/more comfortable) in the entertainment world but when they're among themselves, something just never change. If I were to describe them, let's say in a situation where somebody is trying to prank someone, Got7's members role will be as followed (from oldest to youngest): Mark: would be the cool, fun uncle (with sneaky glint in his eyes) who supplied all the stuff for the prank + maybe add on some ideas (sort of like the spice) for the originally innocent prank JayB: would be the dad who would laugh at the moment BUT he would be mad for the mess made from the prank + when he gets serious, the kids would be regretting their prank Jackson: would be the one getting pranked just because his reaction would be the funniest + he would be sulking about it for a LONG time AND would bring it up in every occassion Jinyoung: would be the calm mom who gets amused by the situation (sneakily laugh at the prank, only his eyes would show he's laughing) BUT would be the person who comfort the one's getting pranked Youngjae: was originally supposed to be pranked but the prankers just couldn't get on with it because it feels too wrong (due to his innocent-sunshine vibe) but he would be laughing the most on the side + infect others with his laugh, attacked by the one who got pranked for laughing too much Bambam: would be the mastermind of the prank, he would be deliberately trying to get in trouble by creating the prank + it could be that the prank was a spur of the moment thing, like he just suddenly feels like pranking someone Yugyeom: would be the second man in the pranking job, he would be laughing throughout the process and just keep getting amused by the idea of the prank Hope to see more of Got7 review!!!

GOT7 in America is so much different from GOT7 in Korea. Korean Members are less talkative because of language barrier that’s why foreigner members take the lead. Usually JayB is the one in the group who talks the most since he is the Leader and does the introduction or speeches and stuff.. Jackson is the Hype men, BamBam and Yugyeom are the chaotic ones, Mark in Korea for example is actually quiet, Youngjae is loud when he speaks and laughs and all other members pays extra attention to him, Jinyoung is the calm one

Thank you Max for reacting to more GOT7! They're genuinely my favourite group because their interactions are always so interesting, and vary in different settings. What you see in English-language interviews is quite different from Korean interviews/shows and content when they're left alone. On Korean shows, Mark tends to be quieter, while Youngjae is his usual bubbly self, Jinyoung and JB are the parents facilitating the conversation, and Jackson and BamBam are the comedic duo with occasional input from Jackson. Comparatively, on English interviews, those with more confidence in English will take charge - in earlier videos, mainly Mark and Jackson, but eventually BamBam, Jinyoung, and even Yugyeom start to chime in more too. In contrast, GOT7 are left to themselves, you get to see A LOT of chaotic crackhead energy - their late-night live videos are infamous for it. It's intriguing to see how they fill in for each other to keep the energy up, when one member is sick or absent, or encourage each other to speak. For example, in Korean interviews, the members may prompt Mark with questions to get him to speak up, whereas when the members are speaking English, Mark will give simple question prompts to help his members have more speaking time. To me, that's true teamwork, chemistry, and camaraderie. You might just call that communication, though :p

With Youngjae it's partly language, but he's admitted and if you follow them long enough you know he's VERY introverted. He and Jackson have this amazing Tom and Jerry relationship, with Youngjae surprisingly being the Tom of them. Jackson brings out the best ( and evil side) in Youngjae. Youngjae also has the MOST contagious laugh in the world. Also, according to them, Jay B is the dad and Jinyoung is the mom of the group.

Your analysis about the individuals is on point! But no they’re not chaotic in these videos because they aren’t as comfortable speaking English. Even if many members are fluent in English, it’s not natural for them to communicate with each other in English, so their dynamic is a little bit different than usual, though still plenty of fun. If you watch some of their korean interviews or funny compilations made by fans you might get a better sense of how chaotic all of them actually are. 😂

Yugyeom is the main dancer. He is a natural especially at freestyle. Jinyoung is the mom of the group and he is the actor in the group. He is with B&H Entertainment where he is focusing on his acting. Jay B is the leader and the dad in the group. Jackson is the moodmaker. His laugh is so contagious too. Mark is amazing. They call him LA Gangster because of his actions sometimes. Mark is the oldest. Yugyeom is the youngest. Mark and Yugyeom are called the Tuan Brothers alot too. Bambam is a riot. He is from Thailand and he learns quickly. As you saw and heard he picked up English very quickly. Sometimes I forget he is actually from Thailand. Jackson went to an international school in Hong Kong and he is fluent in many languages. I love his confidence. He feels comfortable with himself and everyone feels comfortable with him. He is very social. Youngjae is so precious. He loves to laugh. It is so contagious too. He laughs with his whole body. They are all so unique! I love that about them. I love how real they always are.

I would love to see you analyse Seventeen at some point, similarly to Got7 they've known each other since they were very young, I think it's been 10 or more years of being together for most of them. There's a really comfortable feeling when they're together and it seems like they have the ability to read each other's minds 🤣 there's three leaders each in charge of taking care of a specific unit: rap, vocals and performance and Seungcheol the rap team leader is also the general leader for the entire group... I think this set up creates an interesting dynamic within the communication of the group tho and it would be cool to look at.
