I have the Sensor ST Expert and I put a Lyrik Ultimate 140 on the front. I'll also changed the fork travel to 160 and it surprisingly works so well with the 120 in the back. More fun than the regular Sensor 140/160 configuration in my opinion and still very capable.

I just picked this up a month or so ago because of the deal. Then it got even cheaper 😂. Did a few upgrades and am pretty much in love with it. Swapped out the pretty terrible hubs for a set of Hope pro5s and a gx shifter and cassette (10-50). Also swapped out bars and touch points. It weighs just above 30 lbs. with pedals. I am planning on upgrading the crank set for a GX carbon and eventually taking the plunge on carbon hoops. Just have to save up for that.

I had it the same way with my Stumpy Evo. I paid $900 more than I could have, but a season spent on the bike was way worth it for me.

Is the 5mm difference the same as AI offset on similar Cannondale Frames (they're both PON). Did the wheels comes dished?
@GuyKesTV
@GuyKesTV 21 күн бұрын
There’s no mention of it being deliberate like AI and the wheels are standard so I think it’s just wonky. If I can get an official answer I will but it’s odd though eh?

If someone made a video on differences of shock mounts (trunnion vs clevis vs ... "standard"?) it would be considered a magnificently noble deed.

Hello Guy. I watched a review of yours about the 2015 (the vivid yellow/green one)Voodoo Bizango 29er hardtail - then went out and bought one for £500 in the bike sales. I still have it, and it's going strong. It's got hope conversion headset bearings for a boost Rockshox 130mm Sektor fork, Hollow tech 2 conversion with 36/26 rings - still 10sp, but thinking about whether or not I could stick on an 11sp cassette I've got hanging about. Also equipped it with m6000 brake levers which are heaps nicer than the window units it had. All finished off with a set of Nukeproof bars, a set of Stan's flow s1 rims on non boost rear bitex hub, and a Hope pro 4 boost hub on the front (made them myself at Ryan Builds Wheels) - maxxis ardent 2.4 front and 2.2 rear dd casings with cushcore. Oh and a brand x 2 dropper. I love it - it's grown with me, its wonderful and a joy to ride - blues and the odd red at BPW. So thank you for that article all those years ago. It's been a brilliant experience. Funnily enough, I bought in 2018 my favourite - a GT Alloy Sensor Comp LTS 29er! Again in the bike sales for £1650.00. Guess what upgrades are - 12sp conversion, RRP bash guard, slx 4 pot front 2pot rear c/w m7100 levers, ice tech rotas 203/180, Rockshox 150mm Pike ultimate 2.1charger/ Rockshox 130mm Debonair deluxe ultimate shock. Shimano seat lever, xt shifter, 10/45 cassette with the shorter sg cage Nukeproof bars, hope pro 4 hubs on Stan's flow Mk3 rims, Maxxis Dhr2/dhf with cushcore! A brilliant performer. Once again many thanks, regards Tony Sadler South Wales uk 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

 currently running the 11/36 standard cassette unit on the Bizango - which I must say is very adequate with the 36/26t hollowtech ii rings. I find I'm using the full range of the cassette now rather than the OE 36/22t chain rings - where the larger cassette rings wouldn't get much use. But, I do have an 11 sp 11/46t sunrace cassette (left over from the GT 12 sp conversion)which is an HG fit which I might just try on it just to see if it works. On the GT I opted to go for the 10/45t 12 sp cassette because I'd be walking way before I reached the 51t ring! Plus I get better clearence with the shorter sg derailleur - similar set up to Wyn Masters bike, but not quite! Many thanks for the reply - brilliant to share the information especially as with the Bizango you stated it all off! Regards Tony Sadler.

@@tonysadler5290 I love that 10-45T option. Totally agree with you about the 51 tooth, too much of a winch! If you’re going to try that 11-46 make sure you do it in the workstand and go very careful shifting into the bigger gears as it might stretch the rear mech too far. If not then happy days. I can’t remember what shifter it has on the Bizango of that date but some even have a ‘hidden click’ so try with what you have before automatically buying a new one 👍🏻

@@GuyKesTV well if you ever want to do some videos on how people have developed/upgraded their bikes rather than buy a new model and why ? - I'd be happy to invite you to look at mine - it's always interested me how other riders have opted for this part or that combination and how they've delt with compatibility issues - especially now as people are being squeezed with higher cost of living expenses - upgrading rather than new may well be the norm for the forseeable future. I hope so anyway. Very much enjoyed commenting with you, and thank you for the info' best, regards Tony Sadler South Wales UK 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I don't get it. What happened to proper lockouts? If I needed movement in the shock I would keep it open. If I need to close it I don't want it to move. It looks like real lockout technology was somehow forgotten by everyone at the same time and now they are just coming up with excuses why it's a good thing.

@@BIKE-PLUS I believe it to be universally applicable, not just to this bike. I have just one bike (as I bloody well should) and ride it everywhere, from bike park laps to long paved road trips, and want to be able to completely lock the suspension. I was riding a bike with both pedal mode and lockout for some time and I don't remember using the pedal mode once in like two years.
