343 makes it's fair share of mistakes, but I'll never get why people always put the blame solely on them, with none for Microsoft, any other company everyone is well aware and agrees that the parent company breaths down the developers neck and makes things worse, 343 gets none of that, why cause halo 4 had those god awful COD inspired quick time events, sue fine they sucked but how do people forget that it was them that asked for infinite to be delayed by at least another year and Microsoft was the one that demanded the release date we got.

Microsoft's management definitely shares the blame, but it's not managements fault that 343 can't release a working game. Not so Fun Fact: 343i has NEVER had a working theater mode in all of their games. It also doesn't help that 343i specifically hired people who hate Halo. Why do people go to their defense when they've clearly PROVEN their incompetence since 2012? Wake up and smell the coffee, my guy. They are a bad studio at their core. They always have been, and they always will be. It doesn't take Rocket Science to understand that. Just look at their track record in case you forgot their "mistakes".

Halo Infinite is a good game in mid-2024. The biggest issue comes with the smaller player base in the multi-player matchmaking. Plus, it's the only online game im still good at.

Yeah, if they’d had forge on launch, that alone might’ve extended its life, but because it just wasn’t there, and just so many other features were just missing on launch what could’ve been a franchise revival in multiplayer instead just fell off a cliff, nobody cared anymore even when the game started getting good, and features were added because 95% of the player base had already jumped ship.

Despite what everyone on KZbin says, I love Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. It just had the worst launch of any halo game. Like a well made cake without frosting. But now I’m enjoying it every day. Ton of maps, a good max ranked reward, and the match composer is a blessing. But the monetization is ruining this games potential since you can’t get much rewards by just playing. But I still have fun with this game, it feels awesome to play

Halo 5 was 343's best multiplayer. Countless weapons, vehicles, and they added so much stuff post-launch that halo 5 is still an amazing multiplayer experience regardless of the teams i get matched with. As for halo infinite... it feels like a weak cough in comparison.

Personally Halo Infinite is my favorite multiplayer. I love the gameplay way more than the classic games, and it’s way more active. I wish they could have released like this, but once you understand the development hell the game went through and the complete restructuring of 343, it does make sense the game turned out the way it did. I just hope the Halo trilogy remake they’re doing has a similar gameplay style to this and releases in a competent state.

The forge is easily the BEST version so far. I’ve made several maps and it’s just ridiculous how much is possible. I don’t even bother playing forge on other halo games anymore because compared to infinite, there’s almost literally nothing you can do in them. Not only is infinite’s forge menu 100x bigger, but they added script brains which allow you to write your own code. It’s fantastic. Furthermore, the theatre mode does work pretty well. Comparable to halo reach, for example.

Is it better? Yes… Is it good? No, not by a long shot… Multiplayer just doesn’t feel the same, it feels boring in my opinion compared to some of the older games, custom modes felt more chaotic and fun in the past. The Campaign was decent, definitely not the worst, but at the same time, there is nothing to do in the open world after you are done with the story line. Oh yeah, and they monetized anything that had to do with customization, which was definitely a slap to the face compared to past games. I get that Halo 5 had loot boxes, but you could actually get everything in the game without having to spend extra.

Playing ranked, building a team, and grinding to Onyx, as well as competing in local tournaments is where it's at for me. I feel like its the best arena shooter out right now. I don't care about battle passes or career ranks as they don't effect the gameplay. I've only played the casual gametypes a few times. The bandit update made it feel more like halo reach, which is a big win!

Halo Infinite started strong with the gameplay and art style but it’s been on a pretty steady downhill spiral since they launched the free multiplayer. The weapon rebalancing felt bad, and the PVP is literally unplayable. Admittedly I’m a 9-5’er so I don’t have time to put a ton of hours into the game, but why am I getting put in high elo lobbies with absolute sweats in unranked game modes? It’s ridiculous. The MMR is so broken and I honestly don’t see myself coming back until it gets fixed.

For what it is as a free online multiplayer game, it's good. The new spartan coins system is a bit underwhelming and the change of the seasons progression is a disappointment, because you do not unlock basically anything desirable cosmetically for your character. I do like that they finally added shoulder pads and helmets to be multi-compatible with other armors; it gives your character more flexibility and creativity to customize, but the lack of new armor content is basically what makes the game a bit more undesirable to play. The game is fun don't get me wrong, but once you beat the much easier weekly challenge and the monthly progression consisting of mostly spartan coins, there's not much value in replaying the online matches and gets boring rather quickly. With that being said, I think 343 should continue to work on the gameplay and tweak a few things. The warthog with the cannon gun either needs to be able to shoot quicker or the damage needs to be buffed because it is atrocious, it feels weak for the size of the bullets you shoot out of it. Also, frag grenades need to be buffed as well with either their damage or radius; if you do not land the grenade perfectly below a person the grenade will not do hardly any damage at all. I really wish they would bring back dual-wielding guns

Those complaining usually haven't played the game much. The good has always outweighed the bad for me, and now that the desync stuff has been reworked, it's a consistent and rewarding experience with *too much* content to play. Still lacking some polish, shop stuff is trash (but I never buy) and I wish LAN was easier to set up on Xbox (more a gaming problem than a Halo problem) but small problems when the core gameplay is probably the most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer experience.

Its been so depressing watching what they've done to it for my entire adult life. The one sliver lining was the repair of MCC, but never forget they left that broken for years till microsfot decided they wanted to test the waters batting fo rpc and even then they lost a huge amount of players very quickly because they only ported reach at first, heavily unoptimised and completely unbalanced for mouse players aka the majority of PC gamers. They haven't been able to do anything without a major fumble and that's how one of the biggest titan franchises in gaming, xboxs undeniable flagship, a cultural sensation, has become.... whatever this is.

The MP is fine but it's not my cup of tea so I don't care for it. The main reason I don't like Infinite is because of the campaign. Making it open world was a terrible decision. The game was too repetitive and I forced myself to play most of it. The only thing I enjoyed was the grapple hook, especially fully upgraded. I wasn't invested in the story one bit either. The fact that I had to wait a year just to play co-op, then it launched in a broken shitty state, is another reason I don't care for Infinite. 343 doesn't deserve the IP and should have lost it after Halo 4. The franchise died when Bungie moved on.

Halo infinite had better atmosphere and art by like an infinitely higher amount than 5 for sure. In halo 5's defense however, the sandbox was far better.

Nothing in Halo 5 looked anything like halo. Halo infinite at least was a step in the right direction. Now the next halo game it's needs a better sandbox, vehicles, and maps at launch

Its shambolic, its ui is still a mess, cgb is super bugged, the moentisation sucks and the 343 has earned the reputation as the worst developer in the industry with over a decade of bad decisions, ignoring their community and firing and pushing away the original creators of halo at every opportunity to do their own god awful thing.

Ya know i disagree i don't think halo infinites gameplay is good. It plays like a twitch shooter. Its call of duty basically... What happened to crouch jumping? Clamber sucks Sprint still ruins a lot of things Hi jacking is less fun Grappling hooks removes you from bad positioning Sliding??? That is sooo not halo. Are we still playing halo? Or we playing limbo now. Wanan know why 343's games keep failing because its gameplay. But most folks don't understand that they think it's content and live service killed off the game... Nope!. Wasn't that it was gameplay always has been. Wouldn't it be crazy if it actually looks like it plays VERY VERY similar to halo 3 but with newer enemies, weapons, game modes, features, options etc that we never seen before in halo? AI bots in multiplayer. Custom map editor for fire fight. No online only crap or micro transaction wallet rape type stuff? I really don't see that happening but I can dream can't I?? So halo infinite was halos last chance? If you ask me halo 5 was halos last chance... I don't see halo being anywhere near as popular as it once was, once most fans saw halo 4 and mcc. One of which was mostly hated more than any halo game before it, and the other launching broken as fck. Even if halo 7 does turn out to be amazing some how... What then?? 343 has only fucked up for 2 straight decades now for the most part. They have delivered a handful of games that are all pretty mediocre and some aspects of them are just plain bad like the ones with micro transactions or MCC at launch. 343 needs to deliver like 4 or 5 great games to win the respect back. Not just one game. Sorry but you gotta be fair. 343 gave us a bunch of mediocre/garbage games. Soo to make up for that they need to give us a handful of great games duuuhhh. You don't get to fuck me over for a decade and then do one nice thing and act like everything is fine afterwards. Nope... I have higher standards that shit only works on dumb ass fanboys. Personally, I think Halo 5 is the worst’s title of all. I played the campagne once and lost 95% memory of it. Even in H4, I can remember a big portion of the champagne despite it’s a 360 title and played it two times. The mp of 5 was created with e-sport in mind. Large playlists required requiem packs for weapons and big vehicles. Worst part, I have the option of buying these packs for a higher chance of getting a S7, Scorpin etc. Further more, I had to choose wisely. Use it or wait for a good match. CE, 2, 3 and reach were the golden age. Story wise and multiplayer. But yea, if u liked Halo 5, than that’s good for you I think :)

@@MarsiB013 sure, thats a Warzone thing, and is also part of the mp, and that’s why I counting it into my personal opinion :). I respect yours of the H5 mp. I like 1-4 more.‘. Halo Infinite needed a lot of time but is also a good one. Despite it lacks a lot of previous great weapons. Hopefully the next title does it better. Without the Slipspace engine, more features like forge and the match composer at start.
