I think that I saw random episodes of Spooks soon after it originally aired. I was therefore quite surprised when Ruth left as I seemed to remember her being in many more episodes. Now that she is back I have to wonder who is next on the "hit list" to leave the series either temporarily or permanently.

No, she didn’t hate Harry. She hated what Harry represented as a person who, despite the brutal interrogation he had just endured, remained loyal to his country. She, on the other hand, turned traitor simply because someone had manipulated her and twisted her beliefs. She resented his strength of character and her own lack of it.

Not him - like all of them she hated the Hegemon and the hissing was for the fact that Harry enables the Hegemon whereas Connie would not.

Harry is a good ole spy. He only told Malcom to go home and rest, he never said that he agreed with the retirement request. Malcom will be back. Glad to see Ruth again. Harry had Adam's son for a few years but maybe now, he'll have Ruth's son, Nicco, for a little longer - to be a dad to him like he never was for his own son. So much predictive programming in this series but I like it anyway.
