I will tell you that in 2018, when I first saw Dimash sing SOS on the Chinese Singer show, my hair stood on end, because he looks exactly like the angel who was with me during my life-after-death experience 25 years ago when I was 25! You are so right. If you want to listen to the so called the essence of vocal voice, Dimash has it, he has the “mother of all singing”. I am not sure if somebody like him existed before, perhaps there were but simply not developed or recorded, but I am sure no one in the current music industry has that kind of all-encompassing in singing. Not saying that was bad, there is strength in focusing only one aspect of your vocal. But to master all of them is just on another level.

It does something to my soul. It's such a joy! He is angelic, his voice comes straight from heaven. There will never be another like him. I too feel music so much! I feel it at the core of my soul, sometimes. Dimash is one of those artists that does it to me. My mother sensed this and used to give me various instruments on my birthdays. I love singing as well. Was in high school choir for 3 years. I am a countertenor, so I can reach high notes as well and go from baritone to tenor but nowhere with the ease that he has. Absolutely amazing!

I've never heard anything like it from a singer in my entire life. Only Dimash can do that. This is true mastery. The original Japanese version Ikanaide/ Please Don’t Go (composed 1989) is by Koji Tamaki, *1958, Japanese songwriter. The sad true story... very touching: It is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920-2014), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling. Koji Tamaki sent a wonderful message to Dimash, thanking him, and praising him for singing his song in Japanese. Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to him. You are correct that being recorded live in the studio has a different set of pressures however this particular performance was being live streamed to the Tokyo jazz festival in 2021. So I'm sure he was aware that there were still many eyes on him. Please try to do your best to make your pauses in between phrases instead of in the middle of notes. Especially if you choose not to rewind a few seconds prior to restarting the video. Thanks much.
